The workmanship was good but the communication and coordination with the owner, Don, was awful. He would tell me one person was coming and two others would show. Then he would rant via text messages. Prices are too high and not worth it.

This job involved mold remediation at a 115-year-old uninsulated cottage on Long Island Sound. G-tech handled every aspect of the project very professionally, beginning by informing us that we were legally required to arrange for an environmental inspection that would analyze our situation and describe the work to be done. The job required scraping, disinfecting, repainting, sealing all affected surfaces - basically the whole house. Rooms were totally emptied by the G-Tech crew, who boxed up all the contents - glasses, plates, cutlery, pots and pans, bedding, books, clothing, knickknacks, cleaning supplies, toys, the contents of closets and cupboards, all of which was moved, along with furniture, to empty rooms while other rooms were treated. We did not pay G-Tech anything until the house had passed a final environmental inspection. That happened last week and we went out this past weekend to make the house livable again. I have nothing but praise for what we found. No trash, clean floors and shelves, boxes labelled as to the contents, fragile items in bubble wrap, walls previously discolored by mold now white. One family member to whom I emailed photos responded that the house looks like new. And this is a place we feared we might have to tear down. Don , G-Techs owner, has been totally responsive throughout the process, a couple of times recommending changes in the treatment program as work progressed, all within the initial cost estimate. He has also made a number of suggestions for preventing future infestations in an environment so welcoming to mold. The total cost was what the environmental inspection said it should be and considerably less than another contractor we had interviewed. Hence, the five stars for each category.

I highly recommend G-Tech Restoration as an outstanding company. We recently discovered mold in our kitchen and the damage was extensive; finding a reputable company to do the mold remediation seemed daunting. After doing some research, we were so fortunate to come across G-Tech; Don called right away and Jack came to inspect the following day. We met with three different companies and in the end, G-Tech stood out far and above as the company that was genuinely concerned about getting our home back in order as quickly and painlessly as possible. Everyone we encountered was extremely professional, on time every day, and we were never left hanging, wondering what and when the next step would be. Pretty much half my house had to be packed up: every single item, from my large furniture, down to the smallest knick knack was treated with complete and utter respect. Every precaution was taken, as far as sealing off the affected areas and putting in air scrubbers, to ensure that we and our children were living and breathing in a safe living environment while the mold was being remediated. Everything was resolved in a timely, efficient, professional manner and now that we can begin putting our home back together, they even come back and move our furniture back into the house! Once again, I highly recommend G-Tech Restoration as a company of extremely knowledgeable professionals who actually care about the comfort and well-being of their clients. In my encounters as a homeowner, this is an extremely rare quality and I’m so grateful that we worked with them.

Mold had formed on the ceilings around my air-duct exits. Don used an infra-red device and determined that the mold had not penetrated the sheet rock, it was only on the surface. A tech fogged the ducts with an anti-microbial agent, removed all the registers and cleaned them and the ceilings. There was no mold actually inside the ducts as it turned out. It took about 5 hours and he did a fine job. Don always picked up immediately when I called his cell. Very fine service, and reasonable price!

Don was a lifesaver during a very stressful experience with our rental house. I was out of town and the tenant was upset due to mold and water damage in the house. Don went above and beyond to smooth things over with the tenant on my behalf and to negotiate with the insurance company. He has excellent communication skills and customer service with all involved parties. He made sure we were happy with the job and followed up to make sure things were going well. I don't know what we would have done without him. HIs work speaks for itself and we were really happy with the job that he did but his outstanding personality and customer service really goes the extra mile. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely hire him again if we have a need.
