The contractor I spoke with was polite and professional on the phone. I got an estimate from him very quickly. The waiting period between my first call to the contractors and when they showed up was short. They were punctual in their arrival, worked quickly, and cleaned up all the debris very well. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

After reviewing proposals from several contractors, we selected Siegfried and Vance based on on-site inspection of several of their completed jobs, owner’s comments, proposed cost, and of course reviews from Angies List. We had the work done and completed in September. Their workmanship was excellent, very professional, and eye pleasing. We waited for the effects of winter to see how everything weathered to submit our review and all the construction has been very successful. There was a small crew and the 2 partners were on site and working for the entire duration. They arrived promptly each day. Their site cleanup was acceptable after the work was finished. If you are looking for fast, reliable and skilled craftsmanship, Siegfried and Vance is an excellent choice.

They came and looked at the job and said they would call me in a few days with an estimate and they never did call me.

Very pleased - estimate was specific , cost was mid - range of other estimates, work was completed on schedule, cleanup was meticulous . Jim, Rick and crew were very proficient and took time after installation to review what we wanted, how it was done and most importantly, how they addressed the specific problem areas within the roof's design.

The roof on our porch was leaking and I wanted to get it repaired/replaced. I left a voicemail message which Jim Vance returned the same day. He said he'd stop by that week to look at the roof. He came by two days later. Of the 4 contractors who came to look at the roof, Jim was the only one who brought a ladder and actually got up on the porch roof and looked around. He called with a quote the next week and later sent a written proposal. He also provided references (all off which were very enthusiastic). Once we decided on a shingle color (after signing the contract), I asked when the work would be scheduled. Jim said it'd probably be 2 or 3 weeks, but no more than 4. We wanted to be able to use our porch this summer, so the sooner, the better. It was much sooner than I thought. The work was scheduled for the week after Memorial Day (less than 2 weeks after we decided on the shingle color). His team showed up at 6:30am and worked until 2:30pm the first day. They got one side our house re-shingled. They returned the next day at 6:30am and finished the other side of the house by early afternoon. I was impressed with how quickly they got the work done. They cleaned up everything and I think the new roof looks great! Two days later, we got some significant rain. There was no leaking on our porch (or anywhere else) so I was very happy. Replacing a roof isn't something that anyone wants to pay for, but Siegfried and Vance made the experience as painless as possible. Jim Vance did everything he said he'd do and the quality of the work is great. I highly recommend this company.

This house is from 1850 so they understood more than what most people understood and they even proved on a couple of weak points on the roof. They really stuck with their price too. They didn't inflate it or nothing. I spent 15750 and it's a very, very big house. They were just punctual. They were professional and knew what they were doing. They were 4 guys and everything that they said turned out on the day they said it was going to. They said they were going to get done on a Saturday and that's exactly what happened. Everything was just extremely professional. I'll have them come again in the spring time and they may be doing the siding of the house.
