We are a full service Electrical Contractor Licensed, Bonded, and Insured In Rockland, Westchester, and Orange counties in New York, as well as New York City, New Jersey , Connecticut and Vermont. We have fifteen (15) full time electricians and an office staff of four (4), we work on both big projects and small service calls. Since 1992 we have established a reputation of honesty, fair prices and high quality workmanship. We standby all of our work and are proud and privileged to have worked for so many of you in our area.

Excellent!
Description of Work: Replace Meter Pan, upgrade circuit box, install 2 fans and install new GFI circuit boxes. BART and Robert were very professional. Completed all work and thoroughly cleaned up! I would recommend Valentine Electric to anyone who need electrical work.

Well. The problem was resolved.
Description of Work: Bathroom outlets in all 3 bathrooms went dead. Circuit breaker was not tripped. Needed to restore power to bathroom outlets. Also needed a dining room fixture lowered.

Description of Work: Troubleshooting for landscaping lights (took 5 min.); changed 5 simple light fixtures and one complex fixture (none were large in size); labeled circuit breaker panels (in garage and 2 smaller sub-panels, one of which was already labeled). Two electricians worked for 5 hours. |It seemed to be an inordinate amount of time for 2 electricians, given the scope of the work. The labeling was also inaccurate. I discussed this with the owner who felt that this was not unusual.

Response from Valentine Electric Inc.
This review is unfair for various reasons. The customer called and asked us to repair a problem with his front yard lights, remove six existing fixtures and install six (6) customer supplied fixtures in their place, and label three separate panels. We sent two highly qualified journeyman who have multiple years of job experience, schooling, and hold NYS journeyman's cards. When they arrived, they troubleshot and repaired the front yard lights.They removed and replaced the six (6) customer supplied fixtures. Several of the existing fixtures were not installed properly and required us to cut the wall and wood to install fixture boxes in order to hold the fixtures we were installing and meet today's National Electrical Code requirements. This was not a simple or typical remove and replace, it required additional time and effort due to the improper existing installation. Finally, we were asked to label to the best of our ability a main panel and two sub panels. Prior to doing this, we explained to the customer that due to the amount of additions and renovations done to his house, and the quality of the existing electrical work, we would do this to the best of our ability. This work requires us to go to each and every device in the house and trace the circuit back to the panel. Some of the existing wiring was cross fed which makes it difficult to determine the exact breaker a certain device is on. This was explained clearly to the customer prior to us performing this task and again once we completed it. The labeling was approximately 95% accurate. All of this work took my men only 4.5 hours. This is far from excessive; in fact, it is more than fair and reasonable. The customer called our office with questions about the work and I explained all of this to him. At the end of our conversation, it was my feeling that all was good. I would urge the Angie's List community to read and consider the numerous good reviews my trained electricians, including the two who performed this work, have received. We have won the Super Service Award every year for a long time now, and that is because we perform our work in a safe and efficient manner.

Valentine did an excellent job and it was easy to see their competence. There was minimal cutting into the wall. The electrician was Carlos and he was great. Cleaned up work as well.

These guys were wonderful. Absolutely professional from beginning to end, and very pleasant to interract with. I trusted them enough to give them the keys to my (empty) house since I wasn't able to come early in the morning to let them in the following day to finish the job. They did exactly what I requested at the price Valentine quoted, and lots of additional jobs I decided to get done on the spot. They were also quite sweet, for what it's worth.

Over the past couple years, I have hired Valentine Electric to do a number of jobs at my home including all electrical in refurbishing a couple bathrooms and fire place insert line. Mr. Valentine is punctual and his staff are professional and neat. His estimates are accurate and I have not experienced any surprises with this company. When the men installing the fireplace insert were concerned about the outlet Valentine installed, Mr. Valentine himself came out within an hour to discuss with the fireplace installers. Bottom line, the fireplace insert was installed timely due to Mr. Valentine's responsiveness.
