Description of Work: They installed a complete complex geo-thermal system in my new home. There is to many problems to list here. Great at first, extremely poor in ending. |Long story short, they (Peet) is a good guy at heart, and tried to fix all the extreme malfunctions of the system. In doing so I have so many major cosmetic damages to my walls ( saws all cut through wall all over). My home is 7500 sq feet, and he installed 1 single zone to regulate the 3 story home forced hot air. All of the duct work in cellar has fallen down laying on floor (still). This has happened 3 times, after the last time, I took pictures of it and sent it to him, he replied that all the duct work needs to be reinstalled. THE 3RD TIME it fell off the ceiling!!! Since then he will not return my calls or emails, plain out will not answer any of my VM messages. The whole story is so much longer then I care to type here. He has cost me an extreme amount of money, and we are in the process of legal action. Many of the duct work is not working, as in no air flow what so ever, the rest of the system has low air flow. I have heating ductwork (3) sections laying on the floor of my furnace room at this time, and I had to put tape over all over the output duct work to cut off the flows from dumping into the service room, I have live wires hanging from the cieling from fans he tried to install to boost the airflow as the fans had to be cut off the hanging pipes with open blade fan blades running, as I was afraid my children (twin 4 year olds would get a finger cut off in the open running fans). I have no idea how the rest of the ratings he has on here say he is so clean, as he left a complete mess every time he came back. I could go on and on, but I don't feel the need to wast anymore time on him. I have put off giving a bad reputation until now that I have started working with a lawyer, as he is unreachable (dodging my calls). Please DO NOT work with him, he is NOT the only game in the NY/ PA area.

We are on a small downtown lot, so would have needed a vertical installation, and in the end it was the driller's that were the limiting factor -- we were viewed as too big a risk for them. Pete himself was great -- willing to think outside the box to find solutions that would work, dedicated, and helpful. If we could have found a driller, Pete would have been my guy for the geothermal installation. No question. In the end, he provided a good alternative solution, but one that he himself didn't have experience with and so he referred us to a good company that did.
Description of Work: Pete did a fantastic job of trying to get a geothermal installation going on our challenging, small downtown site.

They had to dig holes in the ground and run pipes. For this one he preferred to do horizontal pipes rather than digging deep driving a well down deep. He ran five horizontal loops 7 feet below the surface of the ground. that was just the right amount to heat and cool my house. I also had an auxiliary water heater put on to preheat my hot water with a heat pump and a new gas high efficiency hot water heater. I'm now paying half of my utility bills than I was before, I'm saving around $3,000 a year. The owner is Heath Grill, he is very professional, very good at communicating and he makes sure that everything is cleaned up and leaves everything in perfect professional condition. I was very impressed and pleased with almost all his crew. he had a couple who were newcomers that didn't necessarily do a good job on things like landscaping. The heating system did great. When we had problems with one heating system and couldn't get support from the company they tore it out an put in a new system from a different company. Obviously I like the way they do things.
