London Blackbird Chimney

It took four phon ecalls, before the call was returned. We set up an appointment for Monday. We were told to shut off the furnace (which is our heat source), so the work could be done. We shut down our furnace Sunday. We are a family of four. He never called, or showed up. Our house was ice cold, and we had to end up sleeping in the family room, with the fireplace the only heat source. The fireplace has its own chimney, and that chimney had no problem. We had used London Blackbirds before, without a problem, which is why we trusted them. Never again, though.

The job was reasonably priced and carried out in a reasonable time frame. He/they came and went while i was at work. I do not remember how i paid him, maybe someone else was home and wrote a check for me. Since i work full time, this was a great convenience to me not to have to be there for the estimate or the work. The job appeared neat and tidy from the ground when i got home. The leak was cured. The roofing shingles he used were a very close match (my roof was 15 years old at the time). He did not suggest to me that i needed a new roof. This is the type of contractor i will call back.

I called them three times and left messages. They never got back to me.

Punctual and professional

Very prompt service and best prices I have found in the area. I certainly believe their expertise and will have them back next season.

They were personable and honest. They didn't rip me off or anything.

They came and went. Unless you ask them something specific they come in and do what they do and that's it. It would be nice if they gave us an opportunity to make payments instead of making a single lump sum.
