JSG provided excellent advice and service to support my DIY construction of a basement home theater. JSG recommended a cost effective projector and provided optimum set up parameters for that specific unit. JSG sold me the receiver, speakers (JSG custom design) and projector. They advised me on good DIY screen construction, room design, acoustic treatments, speaker placement and wiring. I've been monitoring video projector performance and prices for several years and when I found I could buy an excellent HD projector that could produce a 100" or larger image for less than the price of a 50" LCD TV I decided it was time to build a theater room in the basement. Judd at JSG advised me as I performed all of the construction myself, and when it came time to buy my equipment he was able to supply it at a cost that was close to or perhaps even less than what I would have paid for equivalent gear online. With Judd's advice I was able to select excellent equipment that fit my budget rather then buying gear that might be less expensive, but wouldn't work as well, or more expensive equipment that would have been over kill for my needs. The total project, including the construction of a dedicated room in the basement, furnishings and the A/V equipment came in at around $8,000. I could not have done this with out Judd's assistance. It's also good to know that JSG will support my system over the coming years as needed. For example they have a service department that can repair equipment and can even repair speakers.
