The project seemed to go very well. I was struck by the number of applications of mortar and wire mesh it took to level the face of the wall. Once it was leveled, the fine nylon mesh was applied and overcoated at least three times - with at least two scratch coats before the finish coat. Usually drying over night was sufficient between coats, but the entire project took about 7 work days. Mihalko and his son are both real pros, and know the right way to go about an inherently messy business like stucco work. At the end of every work day, they raked, swept, shoveled, and removed debris. The work site was nearly spotless every evening. That shows an enduring sense of pride and professionalism - greatly appreciated by this customer. Great job, guys!

I initially had a little difficulty getting a hold of David, but once we'd scheduled a time for him to come out, have a look, and give me an estimate everything progressed very smoothly. I'd had a steam pipe break, leaving a large crack in one of my wall and a second hole in a wall from where the pipe repair had been done. David was able to devise a solution to repair both holes that didn't require completely opening up the entire wall and gutting everything. I appreciated that he listened to what my desired end result was and worked hard to make it unnoticeable that I'd ever had a hole. Not only was the solution creative, sistering in side supports and connecting sheet rock to them, but David took on several additional tasks that made the whole process a lot easier for me. He installed the new insulation I hadn't gotten a chance to install and dug out and plastered every small crack including some I'd never noticed before. Now I just have to wait for everything to dry so I can paint it all, but the difference between when David started and finished today is remarkable. I would absolutely use him again.

Excellent!! Very professional job. Dave and son, Joe, did a great job of blending in the new stucco with existing stucco exterior. You could not detect where the stucco was repaired. Dave and son are very friendly and accomodating. Very reasonable price for the scope of areas repaired.

Dave's brother did an amazing job repairing and blending into my textured ceiling. The plaster ceiling in my kitchen had a 3' x 3' hole cut into it to access the upstairs plumbing during a bathroom remodel. The ceiling was textured, both with a swirl pattern and sand embedded into the plaster. Although I contacted Dave Mihalko, it was actually his brother that responded to me and performed the job (maybe because it was a smaller job?). Regardless of which Mihalko it was, he did an amazing job. I wasn't expecting to match the existing texture perfectly, but I can honestly say you cannot tell where the old ceiling ends and the new area begins. It is absolutely perfect, flawless, I could not be happier. If any other plaster work comes up in our house, he'll be my first call. We did have a bit of trouble finding a time where both he and I were free, a few times he asked me at the last minute to come out the next day, but I completely understand that I had a pretty small job, so I can't blame him for not making me priority #1, and I appreciated his effort to fit me in whenever he could break away from the big jobs. It was only a minor issue, and his outstanding work more than made up for it in the end.

I am very grateful to Angie's list for providing a forum in which I can publicly commend the outstanding job that Mihalko Plastering has done for me! For years I have been telling people by word of mouth how wonderful they were and recommending them to all my friends and family. Out of all the contractors that I dealt with in building our home....David Mihalko was the ONLY one that I recommended! They were professional, clean, and amazing to deal with. The artwork in the sculptured ceilings is incredible. There are no two designs alike in my home. No amount of words can describe it, you would have to see if for yourself!
