Old owners had termites. This place did the work. They drilled holes in the basement and poured chemicals in the holes. When the ground is saturated after a heavy rain the basement now leaks through the holes they drilled. Apparently to continue the warranty the promise must be inspected annually as per the postcard they sent. What the postcard did not say is that the cost would be $300. After spending about 5 minutes walking through the house they left, leaving us a $300 bill. As though that weren't bad enough he was unkempt, used foul language while he was here. Not professional and not thorough. AVOID!

The pest control company came in and performed a service for bed bugs at my mothers house. They were there approximately 20 minutes and there is NO way they could do a thorough service in 20 minutes. When treating bedbugs you need to pull the furniture out, take the beds apart, they need to be very thorough, and these guys came in and sprayed 3 cans of this Precore 2000+ and left! The worse part of all of this is that they used the WRONG chemical for bedbugs! They used Precore 2000+ and that is NOT for bedbugs, it is for fleas, cockroaches, ants, etc. NO where on the can does it make mention that it is for bedbugs. When I brought it to the owners attention he denied that it was the wrong chemical, he kept saying that "they" said that Precore 2000+ can now be used for bedbugs and stuck to his story. He was wrong, the BBs didnt go away and they, in fact, got worse! and he wouldnt return my mothers money. The bedbugs were still there 2 weeks later in full force. I contacted the New York State Pest Control auditor/supervisor and told him my story and he then investigated this company and found them to be in the WRONG and I was right. This auditor is now in the process of taking this pest control owner to court for violation of the label law and to penalize his company. In the pest control business the label IS the law. Eventually my bank got my mothers money back, but I didnt want him to do this to anyone else and that is why I contacted the NYS pest control auditor. Basically to teach the owner a lesson and to not con other people! This owner has been in this business for over 30 years and he knows what chemicals are for what pest, I felt that he wanted to run a con on my mother and rip her off. Well, he messed with the wrong family! This clearly shows what kind of work ethics this owner has and he can not be trusted. I later had to hire a different company to take care of this issue.

I called Big R&J and they were able to come in just 2 days. They accomodated my work schedule and came during my lunch time. The person that came was running just a few minutes late but actually called to tell me he would be 5-10 minutes late. No problem with me and I was really impressed he called to let me know. When he arrived he spent time answering my questions and going over everything he would be doing. Very professional and friendly service. The work was completed and he then went over what he did. It's been close to a week and we haven't seen one bee since. I would defintely use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service. Very good experience and very fairly priced!
