Very professional and honest

The folks who came were great and got the job done in a professional manner. The cost was WAY higher than we expected, especially considering we got their most affordable “packages.”

It has been hard to find companies to do work in Oneonta. We paid for someone from Auchinachie to drive from Binghamton. They were able to do the work promptly. Todd was great. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and he got the job done.

These guys were fantastic. Told me about the problems I already new I had (where others tried to BS me) and offered reasonable solutions (where others tried to really upsell me). I highly recommend Auchinachie!!

Workman did an excellent job, arrived timely & was pleasant and clear about what he could and could not do. Contacted to repair or replace kitchen faucet and possibly replace bath faucet. He was unable to repair kitchen faucet & had no replacement of the same type (single handle, pull out). He did a great job with the bath faucet. However, the price tag of nearly $900 seemed high to me (single handle chrome faucet was less than $300 so labor of less than an hour was $600?). Excellent provider if cost is not a concern.

Nothing but praise. The timeline was exactly as described. The responsiveness and installation was perfect, and the adjustments resulted in a lower cost with better performance. I wish I needed another system!

Highway Robbery! After foolishly signing to pay over $1,000 for a furnace cleaning and repair of one alleged tiny gas leak ( I smelled nothing), I did some research and found that Auchinachie charges TWICE the fees of city-licensed plumbers and up to FOUR TIMES as much as reputable local HVAC firms.

Would you pay $1100 to have a faucet installed? Not the whole kitchen sink, just a simple faucet! They didn't give me a quote, only told me the amount due AFTER the faucet was installed. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a service contract with this company. They do an annual check-up on the furnace I bought from them in November 2020. The contract costs over $300 a year. The serviceman took a look at my furnace and said it looked in great shape and really did not need servicing but he would look at other parts that had been installed when the furnace was installed. He called me to the cellar to show me that pipes leading from the propane tanks to the furnace had as he said, Been poorly installed. He told me that the workers had not made the ends of the pipes smooth so the connections did not match well. He put a tester to the pipe and a loud sound was heard. This indicated that the connection was very poorly installed. So I certainly wanted him to fix it. And the fact that propane gas had been leaking for about a year was very disturbing. He completed the work and presented me with a bill for $419! On the following day, I realized that I had to pay this company $419 for POOR WORKMANSHIP ON THEIR PART. This was not my fault. Why was I penalized for the lousy work they did! I have contacted them 2 weeks in a row, explained my complaint. It has been several weeks and no one has called me back!

I appreciated being kept informed every step along the way of a major HVAC and water heating changeover. The workmanship is tidy and clean, everyone shows competence and professionalism.
