The roof work was to prevent further water damage to the home due to leakage. This was presumed by us to be caused by the roof. Weiss construction came in and did an evaluation of the problem and recommended a new roof. The roof was rather old and we agreed it was in need of repair. The roof work was completed but the leakage problem and damage continued. We contacted Weiss construction again and they sent out two employees to inspect their work. The employees of Weiss stated the problem was not the roof and flashing that they did but a deterioration of the chimney. We were extremely upset that this deterioration was not part of the prior estimate, evaluation, or work. We do not understand why a new roof was put on without the opportunity to address the crucial problem of water leakage into our home. This appears to us to be conflicting with the primary objective to prevent water damage to our home. We have now had our home inspected by our insurance company and had to place a claim to take care of the extreme damage we now have in our home. We feel that this was a preventable damage if the chimney had been addressed when the roof was installed. We paid a lot of money to prevent this damage and it still occurred. We are left to question if there was as big of a need for the roof as we were first told by Weiss. They were aware that our primary goal was to prevent this water leakage into our home. When I confronted Weiss with this question they assured me that the roof did need repair and offered no explanation of why the chimney was ignored. Another difficulty we have experienced with Weiss since the roof installation is a very slow response to our phone calls. We have now hired another contractor to repair this damage. Suffice it to say with the appearance of a lack of willingness to meet the primary goal as the homeowners and to do what they wanted to do leaves us feeling that we cannot recommend this company or use it again.

They never put insulation in to cover the stove pipe whole. They also never repaired a leak they were supposed to. The owner is especially bad and puts his son up to do work, and does a bad job at that.
