Thanks for Checking us out unfortunately we don't do and lawn maintenance, lawn cutting, clean ups or services like that. But we would love to help with your other projects. Scott Anderson is a Landscape Designer based in Long Island, New York. While earning his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the New York Institute of Technology, Scott met and later worked for Michel & Assoc., one of Long Island's foremost Landscape Architecture firms. He spent over 6 years working there as a Landscape Designer / Project Manager until leaving in 2003 to establish Scott Anderson Design, Inc. Since starting the company, Scott has taken on both small & large jobs including both residential & commercial work. Having a background that spans architecture as well as landscape design gives him a unique advantage when looking at both sides of a job. Scott's ideas and designs are aimed at creating private spaces for you and your family in what would otherwise be a normal backyard. After sitting down with you to discuss ideas for your project, Scott will then create a couple of designs for you to choose from. Then he will prepare a set of production drawings used for bidding the job and getting work costs from different contractors. From there he can oversee and manage the job on your behalf—working for you from start to finish—until you are sitting in your own private paradise. Scott Anderson Design handles projects that range from small front yard renovations costing under $10,000 to large residential & commercial designs of entire landscapes costing upwards of $250,000. They can work with any budget to develop a project and can even recommend or even select and oversee your job on your behalf. Scott Anderson is a member of the NSLGA. He has represented homeowners in front of town & village boards on jobs that must be approved. Not all jobs need board approval, but for the times they do you can be at ease with him representing you.

Description of Work: I expected a lot more from this deal. I don't know where the miscommunication occurred but Scott came to my home as promised. He did not take any photos of my property and the design he came up with and sent me was basically his rough sketch on lined paper. The names of the plants were there and the groupings but I have absolutely no idea what the design will ultimately look like; the size and colors of the plantings. He gave me a rough idea of what it would cost for his company to do the work, but for the life of me, I do not know why I would spend approx. $10,000 for work based on a very rough sketch. Very disappointed. | |I did contact him after he sent his sketch and I was told that that was what the deal included. I would be spending a lot more for a computer generated visual of the landscape plans. He offered to tell me how tall each of the plants would grow to. If I want to use his plan, I have to go online and look up the information on each of the plants. Quite disappointed.

We did meet with the homeowner and spent the time to listen to what they would like to accomplish with there landscaping. We did take pictures. Approximately 25 in total of the rear yard area. We went back and worked up a sketch of the yard calling out all the different types of plants, evergreens, flowering shrubs and perennials that work with her site conditions. The only problem she and some others are having is realizing that what they are actually purchasing is a sketch of the property with all the proposed plant options. The main part of the deal is they are purchasing our knowledge and expertise in landscape design and construction. In relationship to what plants work well in sun or shade, what plants will flower in the spring versus tge summer and fall and when and how big or small will those plants get. That is really what the deal is for. It's for our knowledge and expertise in helping them solve those issues. The sketch is just a small graphical representation of what we come up with. I'm sorry it wasn't more clear with how angies list described it. We will adjust things in the future.
