Very dissatisfied with how the estimate was handled. Despite the great reviews, I'm sure the workmanship is great, I could not hire them based on how condescending and disrespectful this man was towards my materials which I purchased. I do believe that companies as large as them should treat each customer with respect regardless how big or small the job is. It's the customers that are responsible for your success. Never belittle them.

We love our new kitchen! From the very first consultation with Uzi, everything went smoothly. Lorna, our designer was so patient and helpful throughout the entire process. She did a fantastic job helping us choose everything from cabinets to flooring, giving us many suggestions and ideas along the way. We ended up choosing a custom color for our cabinets and thanks to Lorna, Chico was able to come up with the exact color we were imagining. As for Carlos and crew, they arrived on time every day with a smile. Extremely professional and courteous. Their craftsmanship is impeccable and went above and beyond to make our kitchen look absolutely beautiful. From the custom legs on our island to the custom silverware drawer and moldings, everything is more than we imagined. They were very neat and made sure they cleaned up every night before leaving. Dominic our project manager came by every day to check on the progress and answer any questions. He was very quick to respond whenever we contacted him with any questions or concerns. Any extras we wanted, Dominic made sure they were handled. Our kitchen was completed in 4 weeks just as promised. After our kitchen was finished we noticed there was a slight leak in the wall in our den. The very next morning, Dominic had it looked at and found it was an old pipe that was leaking. His crew immediately replaced the pipe and came back 3 times between jobs to re -spackle, at our convenience. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Oz and will definitely use them again in the future. Our kitchen is absolutely stunning!

"A painless operation". Our day began Dave who is a salesmen for Oz Contracting. We had a small bathroom that was not very functional and Dave said that "it would be no problem and we can make it very efficient." He drew a floor plan and showed some photos of similar bathrooms that Oz had completed. At that point my wife and I had a very good feeling about Oz. Dave gave us an estimated cost for the bathroom which came out to be right on target. The job was started on the projected date with a time frame of 2 weeks. On October 27th, the workmen that arrived and were unbelievable. They men were friendly. Each morning they greeted us with "good morning" and each night with "good evening". They worked in an organized manner, cleaned up their work area, and did more than I expected them to do. The team was professional and respectful to us as well as our home. Now let me tell you now about (amazing) Mike, each day he came to our home with a warm smile and checked the progress his men were making. He made sure we were completely satisfied. The word "problem" does not exist with Mike, there are only solutions. Mike is a very special man who is absolutely a "Mensch," which means noble in character with rare individual qualities. Mike will give you his personal cell phone, and guess what? He calls you right back. We were treated like our bathroom was the most important thing on their agenda, and our satisfaction was the most important thing to him. Our bathroom is outstanding and was completed before the projected time. I will always remember the service I least expected to receive! Bravo, Oz Contracting. Great job, well done!!!

They were absolutely phenomenal. They were there all the time and there was no problems at all. The manager was always available to answer any questions. They were clean and very professional. They were always on time.

They did a very good job. They were prompt, clean, polite, and professional. The project manager, Mike, was excellent. He should be running the company in my opinion. The bathroom came out beautifully! I would highly recommend their services.

I first found OZ on Angie?s list right before I was set to purchase my first home. All the positive reviews made them one of my top choices to interview for the job. Job List 1. Complete remolding of the kitchen (Knocking down a load barring wall), complete remolding of 2 bathrooms, needed permits from the town to complete the work. I was closing on the property in March but I needed all the work completed in the middle of May because my wife was expecting our first child in June. After the interview with Uzi he promised to have the job completed and he would dedicate two crews to my house to make sure of this. After meeting with a few other companies it was clear to me and my wife that no other contractor gave us the same confidence that Uzi and his staff did. I worked with Lori during the design process and couldn?t have been happier. Mike was the project manager and was awesome. He was always accessible to answer any questions or concerns we had. The crews were so clean it was like no one was there at the end of the day. Everything that was promised by Uzi and his staff was delivered on time.

After having Oz re-do our master bath in the previous year, we knew we were in good hands. The kitchen renovation involved taking down one interior wall, moving plumbing from one part of the kitchen to another and moving/replacing a exterior door with a beautiful sliding door. We were originally quoted 4 weeks for the large project but 2 weeks into it, we quickly realized we were not going to need 4 weeks. It is a bonus to have a contractor meet their deadline but to exceed them?!? that is a much welcomed and unexpected surprise. The workers were friendly and arrived promptly each morning at 8:30am and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. Each day, we were able to see progress and had no doubt we made the right decision by going with Oz for our kitchen renovation. Now that we finally have our dream kitchen, we can't wait until we work with Oz on our next project!

After a disastrous experience with another LI contractor used for our basement and second bathroom (cost overrun, zero attention to detail, lack of project management, etc), we were hesitant to say the least to jump back into the wild world of home improvement. Our fears were quickly put to rest after meeting the fine folks at Oz contracting. It was not only refreshing to work with a company that takes pride in their work but to find one that gives your needs the attention that it deserves is an absolute blessing. We were well informed of what to expect from the first wall coming down to the last screw fastened on. The Oz crew showed up as promised at 8am and usually wrapped up around 5pm if not later. They took great care in making sure the rest of the house was kept clean and cleaned up the work area after each day. Our designer walked us thru picking out the perfect tiles to the best cabinetry that fit our taste and functional needs. Not only did we get a new bathroom in just 5 days, we got a bathroom that was within budget and without sacrifice in quality. My only wish is that we found Oz sooner!

The work was they did was exellent, but I fell it was over price. They give you the estimate, you have to sign a contract and give a deposit, but they do not tell they are using low cost products. Everything is an upgrade. Make sure you have the money available when they go into the different faces of the project

.It was time to build an extension and give my home a face lift. I did not even give another contractor a thought. Uzi and the Oz family did my kitchen in 2008 and the work was phenomenal, custom made cabinets to die for. It was a no-brainer for me that Oz was doing my upstairs dormer. The quality, and performance of his crew is beyond compare. I am very particular, and sometimes difficult person to deal with, but whatever I had issue, with whether it be the wall was 3 inches off or I wasn't happy with the way something was positioned. They were quick to make me happy. The workers would clean up,( like I would have) every day. They would do more than what was expected. If I asked "could you move or lift something," , it was never a problem. Oz goes the extra mile to make his clients happy. You might pay a little more, but in the long run, it is well worth it. Uzi stands by his word. If you ever have a problem with the work he has done, he will send someone to take care of it. He does not care if it is 3 years later. Now lets talk about the quality of work. The materials used are not from your local home improvement store. They are high quality , that includes brushed nickel plumbing fixtures, andersen windows, glass shower doors, granite counter tops, custom closet, and cabinets, beautiful tile. The list goes on and on. Another point , when my upstairs dormer was being done, I had asked if an entrance could be made upstairs so not to track through my house downstairs. And in a few days I had a stairway going directly upstairs, so that the workers would come and go as they pleased. It was so great, that I wasn't put out at all. As far as the people that work for Oz, just to name a few Milca, always a pleasure, even when she is calling for a payment. Michael, whenever you call you will be guaranteed a phone call back, and he will greet you with a smile. I know I am not covering half of the reasons why I would recommend Oz, but the long and short of it is that any other contractor would have taken twice the amount of time and used cheaper material. Uzi is a man of his word and will get the job done in the amount of time he says it will be done. Not to mention a very lovely person and his workers are just as nice and professional.

Oz is a top-notch contractor that pays exceptional detail to product quality and unmatched customer service. There are no short cuts taken at Oz -- it is pricey compared to other contractors -- but the investment of time and energy by the staff to make sure that you get the right design, quality products, good advice, and construction quality are worth the cost. We wanted a kitchen renovation, but because of our home layout, it required redesign of adjacent dining room, laundry, master bathroom and closet spaces. We tried some less expensive vendors, but were unable to get the comprehensive planning advice we wanted. I found Oz on Angie's List with A ratings all around, and we made an appointment. It was both refreshing and a great relief to find a contractor who LISTENED to us -- and who was able, willing, and wanting to take on a project with all of the moveable pieces that comprised our project. From the start, Oz impressed us. The planning phase took weeks (actually for us, it took a few months), as Oz took us on a tour of their own cabinet factory, worked and re-worked our design layout and cost estimate, and then went through the process of selecting cabinetry, granite, hardware, tile, and other options. They got to know us, and gave us good advice that made sense with our design interests - telling us what could work (or not), and talking us into some inexpensive options, and talking us out of some expensive mistakes. When we had certain musts - e.g., LED lighting - there were no arguments. The construction team, headed by Mike, was far and away the best work team I've ever seen. The team showed up on time, knew what the work objective was each and every day, they were well-supervised, the work was done quickly and efficiently, and they cleaned up every day. Most construction team members seem to have been with Oz for 15 or more years, which impressed me because it told me that Oz treated its employees well, and they clearly were loyal to Oz. The team worked six days a week, and the work began exactly when scheduled and ended when scheduled. Punch list items at the end of the job were addressed immediately, and Mike took my phone calls during the day, in the evening and on the weekends. (He was true to his word when he said I could call him anytime -- two months after the job concluded, I had an emergency unrelated to the Oz work, and he showed up three hours later and took care of the problem in 10 minutes for no charge, and thanked me for calling him!) Ultimately, we have a gorgeous, cook's dream kitchen, and the compliments we receive on it are endless. We have a beautiful master bathroom with a shower and granite seat, a new walk-in closet, and great laundry space. At the beginning, Oz told us that we shouldn't hesitate to call on any homeowner if we saw an Oz truck in front, and to ask the homeowner about them. We did that early on, and sure enough, the homeowner invited us in to see their near-completed kitchen, and the bathroom that Oz had renovated for them 3 years earlier. I understand why homeowners would go back to Oz, My teenage girls will no longer use their bathroom -- they only want to use mine now -- so at some point, I will be calling Oz again to redo theirs!

they are very professional in all aspects of the job, the quality was second to none, they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for, they were always on time and they were always there for us when we need them , we had a major problem with our sub zero fitiing in the space they allocated( the measurements they did were not right) so we had to get a new sub zero at higher cost and there was a restocking fee, Oz contracting picked up the entire cost, they came to the table . the workingman ship is excellent, and they came up with ideas to enhance the project Sergio the head of the team working in our house is a true professional, very helpful and always had a smile I would definitely use OZ again

Someone came in and they gave me an estimate. I had seen it in a paper and the bathroom was worth $10,000 so I said call me because I've seen them on Angie's List as well. I called them in and the guy came and gave me an estimate. Other people gave me estimates, I've chosen two, the one never returned my call so I went with Oz. You go to the designer and then she helps you design the bathroom, it was more than $10,000 because the bathroom was larger, I didn't know that and I never measured it so I really didn't know. I went there and she showed her packages and you pick out all the tiles and she was extremely helpful, very friendly, very patient because it was my daughter's house and we were treating them to this bathroom. There were 4 adults seating there talking about this bathroom and she was extremely pleasant and she works with us and my daughter had to go back a second time because they had to pick up tiles and they go off to another section of another area down the road who does the marble that goes on the top of the sink, so they have to match that, she dealt with her again and she was very professional all the time, I was really very pleased with them. The people that came in to install the bathroom, they were there for 5 days and they were the sweetest people. Mike, the manager, came everyday and the actual workmen, they were quiet, clean, they cleaned up everyday after they left and it was a nice experience because usually you know yourself doing construction is not a good thing. The price was the going price, it was more than what they said but then we had added different things that they didn't have. If you're going to put in a bathroom that you're going to use for 25 years then you might want something extra put in, so anything extra that you do costs you more money and that's a given. The quality was excellent. The bathroom has a low water toilet and the bathroom that was in there was the original bathroom with a toilet that could flush a shoe, and the newer bathrooms, the toilets, it's limited water and that's the problem of my daughter. They were really top notch all the way through. They were there everyday on time and then they left usually around 5 depending if there's work that they have to do that was longer specially when they were tiling, they were a little bit later but they were always on time. They came in at the time they were supposed to be there. They're a company that I would definitely think about going with when I were going to do something else, if we would do the kitchen maybe we could get them. We just like the work and the people dealing with the company.

our project manager was anthony and romero and his crew did the work. what a pleasant experience. the crew was very professional as well as neat. everyday they cleaned up after themselves and when work started for the day, they made sure to protect as much of my house as possible. anthony came everyday to oversee the work and any problems and concerns were addressed promptly. he is a great project manager. overall my experience was wonderful and i wouldnt hesitate to use or recommend them in the future.

When i called to make an appointment to get a estimate, the person on the phone said there was a $75 charge for estimate for storm related quotes? Really? I understand they don't want to waste their time but charging for quotes? Isnt giving estimates part of doing business? Why take advantange of people that were impacted by the storm? I told them NO thanks.. and moved on..

Oz was prompt and the one substantial delay was when we decided to change the style of the cabinets from a plain front to a Shaker front. Their price is somewhat on the high side, but their work was professional and they did clean up every day. The materials used were all top shelf, from the custom cabinets to the granite for the counter tops. As in most projects the final week drags out, but we have been to that rodeo before. They promptly addressed problems from the punch list and they encouraged us to purchase our own appliances and this saved us money. The end result was spectacular.

They're prompt, very clean, and now my kitchen and bathroom looks like it came out of a magazine.

While we were put off at first by the price, we shopped around and realized that Oz's prices are very competitive and an excellent value. The job was done in six days. The workers were punctual, neat, and as unobtrusive as possible. Designing the bathroom was simple (though there were many options) and the office staff is courteous and efficient. We had a few issues after the job was completed (nails left in the molding, tub not draining) and Oz was there the next day and quickly resolved the issues. We would definitely use Oz in the future and recommend them to others.

I would rate them highly. They are extremely professional. They are competent. They are fast and clean.

The presentation of the design for our kitchen was very slick with mock ups projected onto a screen in an impressive office with conference table and comfortable chairs. Overall, however, we felt that a lot of time and effort had been put into making a top-notch impression with the actual design being rather unimpressive and the price a bit high. We decided not to sign the contract with Oz and began contacting other contractors.

They did a good job and were time efficient. They had a good business process and good project management. They didn't take the easy road. They did whatever you asked them to do and they did a good job.

The cost is for the materials and labor. The crew did a good job and were easy going. Throughout the project, they showed up on time. The company stuck to their original estimate. I was very pleased as they were flexible with making changes.
