Robert M. Spano Plumbing & Heating Inc

Robert Spano owner of Robert M. Spano Plumbing & Heating Inc. (Family member of my grandfather. Recommend to me as a great plumber. Far from it.) is the most rude business owner I have ever met. He cursed me out and called me a foul name and degraded me as a client and as a family member. Now imagine just being a client only and not related... scary to say the least. He spoke absolutely terrible to my wife on a phone call which should never be allowed and never apologized. Who down talks a lady and someones wife as a business owner!!!!! Zero consideration or any respect and all about money and business. Robert Spano is not personal at all and has zero heart and only cares about the dollar bill. Spano Plumbing never finished my work at my home and is now demanding a final payment of $1,065 and summoned me to court. If it cost me $1,065 to get rid of this terrible business Robert M. Spano Plumbing & Heating then so be it and goodbye. The worst service and business I have ever came across. I have never encountered any business that couldn't hold a conversation about a cost for additional work and have the owner of the business (Robert Spano) lose their temper based off of questions regarding a quote! I never wanted to write this review but, taking me to court for $1,065, work not completed on my home and cursing me out as a client and talking absolutely terrible to my wife on a call. That's enough and other homeowners need to know about it. Robert M. Spano Plumbing and Heating Inc deserves zero stars and is the most disrespectful company I have ever encountered.

Scheduling the appointment was easy. I found the woman answering their phone to be a bit curt and obnoxious. Other than that, the tech was within the window, and quickly identified a problem that TWO other plumbers failed to diagnose. He quickly solved the problem by installing a pressure reducer. He also checked a toilet that was squealing and assured me that it was being caused by the same issue. I felt that the price was fair and I would use them again.

Superb job from start to finish. I am very happy with the services performed and professionalism of all who participated on this job.

I had one plumber out here last spring for a problem with a bathroom fixture--I can install a sink or toilet on my own, as well as repair drains, but occasionally I'm stymied by more elaborate stuff. The plumber was able to repair my stem quickly. I mentioned that I had an anode rod for my water heater: we went into the basement and he helped me install it for no extra charge. I learned a lot and got a good deal.

Overall OK. Great to get someone on the phone to actually scheudle an apptmt when you call. They were great with scheduling someone right away and service was fine. The second plumber forgot to reopen my sink valves before he left so my dishwasher just refused to go on. Had I not checked, i would have thought my very expensive dishwasher was broken! Seriously, how can a plumber forget to turn on the water valves when you are done?

I contacted Spano in order to have a hose bib installed in the year yard. They had to run the line from the kitchen sink and remove the dishwasher for this work. Unfortunately, the person that came out did not do a thorough job and we had a flood from the dishwasher that night. I was able to stop the leak (fortunately we were home) and they set a crew out on Sunday to fix the problem. Again, unfortunately, we still ended up have a minor leak from the new valve they installed and they came back again on Monday. The company was very professional and responsive, but the with two call backs for leaks, I will not be using them again.

They are well organized and their customer service is very good. Their plumbers are good, but I don't like the price - it is too high. I have more work scheduled with them, too.

I called Spano, who I had used on previous occasions, and they responded with a plumber within 24hrs. The plumber arrived about 9am, decided that the problem required replacement of the entire drain system from the 2nd floor tub. This semed more than necessary but after seeing the parts which he removed I understood that very little of the old work could have been saved. The work was completed by early afternoon. The work was copleted promptly and in an orderly fashion. My only complaint would be that considerable mess was left where insulation and other material was removed form the area and NOT cleaned up.

They were very friendly. I've never had a bad experience with any of Spano's employees. They have always been reasonably priced and always know what they are doing.
