CertaPro Painters® of Westchester NY and Southern CT

CertaPro painters was one of the businesses we requested quotes from to paint the interior of our townhouse. Even though the person was very knowledgeable and very approachable, the quote itself was way over our budget.

I called 4 painters on Angie's List with A ratings. All came within a couple of days and provided a prompt estimate except the Certa Pro franchisee (I am assuming it's a franchise). The appointment was scheduled for yesterday at 3:30pm. I was out and returned at 3pm because of the scheduled appointment to hear a voicemail that this gentleman would not be coming because of the 'rain and snow'. Yes, there is some snow on the ground (which did not stop anyone else from walking around the house days earlier when it was deeper) and it happened to be raining. He wanted to reschedule for 'next Friday' as that was his next availability. Perhaps he has not heard of umbrellas, or even jackets with hoods, or maybe he just couldn't be bothered to venture out in the rain - and it wasn't raining very hard. I called and left him a message to forget it. If he cancels an appointment made a week earlier and can't come back for 3 days, he mustn't need my business.

Our experience with Karen and her team was exceptional! We bought a condo that needed A LOT of work--the CertaPro Painters were extremely professional and very flexible. They worked with all of the other workers we had in the house (plumber, tiler, electrician, etc.) to keep the job moving. Their crew was punctual, neat and very friendly. I would certainly use them again in the future, as well as recommend them without hesitation.

The painters were extremely professional and prompt; all rooms were cleaned up on a daily basis. Karen Haas were at my home regularly checking on progress and making sure the job went smoothly and to my satisfaction. There were no surprises. A pleasure to work with them.

They showed up right on time. Pretty good job overall. very pleasant to deal with.slightly sloppy in a few places but i asked them to fix it and they did right away.

Overall, the job went well. What was originally scoped as a 2-day job only took one day to complete. However, there were several spots that were missed in the process of completion. That said, CertaPro was very responsive in returning to review and correct mistakes that were made at first.

Very responsive, worked with our needs and wants - flexible with scheduling. Painters were neat, polite and worked hard to provide the quality we expected. Would definitely use again and recommend.

We were very pleased with the work provided by CertaPro of Norwalk. They prepped and painted our exterior trim and also did some interior painting for us. What really sold us from the beginning was Karen's commitment to quality, and genuine care to the customer. She treated the service to our home as if the work was being done to her own house. During the whole process Karen also kept in close touch with us. The painter's did a great job and had a nice attention to detail. Thanks!!

He was very candid with me. He felt I didn’t need a paint job at all & that my house was in pristine condition. He didn’t want to take my money for no reason. He felt that what I may need would be small & would take only a day & cost about $429. Other people had given me quotes for $4-8,000. He was very honest & very professional. When I need painting done I’ll call them.

Excellent Job! Peter B is very knowledgeable about paint.as well as old apartment buildings in NYC. This was a bonus for us. I found the crew to be timely, professional and did a terrific job cleaning up. The result - a professionally painted apartment with the correct color combinations that will last for many years. What a difference!

I hired Certapro 6 yrs. earlier to paint the exterior of the house, which still looks great, and returned to them because of that positive experience. The salesman was very professional, knowledgeable and printed out an estimate on the spot. I was pleased with the 10% discount because I was a returning customer. All my communications with the company were treated with respect, care and in a timely fashion. The salesman carried me through the whole job; even gave me a call 2 weeks later to see if I was pleased. I would trust them with another job any time and recommend them to anyone as a reputable company with very fair prices.

I had used Certa Pro in the spring time for other interior and exterior jobs, and was very pleased with their work, so I requested the same team again, led by Vladimir. They were responsive, prompt, and diligent. Not only does Vladimir speak excellent English, but he communicated clearly and was very efficient throughout the whole process (hard to get even from some American-born contractors!). They did a great job, cleaned up at the end of each day. They were punctual, professional, friendly and highly skilled. The final invoice was in line with the original estimate; everything was as expected. I highly recommend Certa Pro Painters of Northern Westchester and Southern Connecticut and plan to use them again in the future.

The CertaPro work was outstanding! They came. They saw. They prepared the surfaces. They painted. The men worked long hours, with great skill and care and turned out a product that my wife and I are so proud of! That's all you need to know. I don't see how we could have been any happier with the job they did. And the price was more reasonable than competitive painters.

They were hardworking professionals that did a great job from start to finish. The crew was reliable and careful of our shrubs and plantings. The prep work was thorough as was the priming and painting, and they cleaned up daily. The company rep was very responsive to all our questions and timeframes and constantly monitored the job's progress.

The service was fast. They were clean and did a great job.

I know I overpaid for the work. They sent a team out the first day that did not do a good job. I let them know about this and they did come back and remedy the problem. I asked them for an estimate to do my deck and the quote was way out of line as compared to someone else that I called and they were not competitive at all.

Everything went well. The quality was good, but I did feel just a little more attention could have been paid to some of the details and prep. However, when I pointed out some spots that were missed they were more than happy to go and touch up. They also forgot to put a second coat on some of the areas that were specified in the scope of work but they were responsive when I brought that to their attention and friendly and came back out a few weeks later and finished the job. Given that they were so quick to come back out and make sure I was satisfied I would be comfortable using them again or recommending them to friends and family (which I have). They were also the best value out of the quotes I got, so it's hard to complain too much if they were a little rushed. Since they are so responsive about correcting any oversights and since they seem more than willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're satisfied, you should have a good experience in the end.

We decided to have some of the rooms painted in our house that haven't been painted in 18 years! Spoke to Mitch, the owner, who is the epitome of professionalism. He returned our phone call immediately and had a contact person call us to come and give us a quote, which they gave to us on the spot. We selected our dates and as part of their services, they provided us with an interior paint consultant, FREE!!! Kara, was spot on with helping me select the colors. She was patient and extremely knowledgable.I can't say enough about the paint crew and the supervisor, Arceli."Celi" came at the end of each day to make sure everything was going according to schedule and addressing any concerns we had, which were none! At the end of each day the crew cleaned up all the debris, sweeping and vacuuming, and leaving my house clean. My husband and I will be lifelong customers of Certa Pro Painters and we recommend them highly to anyone thinking about interior painting. Definitely worth the money!

The job went well from the beginning to the end. The estimate was completed in a timely manner and I knew beforehand the price of the job; there were no hidden costs. The head painter called me ahead of time to schedule the date and time and was on time! Overall, the workers took pride in their workmanship and you could see that they enjoyed what they did! I would definetly hire Certa Pro again and I will share my great experience with others. ,

The quote was for $6800 including the New York State tax for two coats of paint. This was the lowest bid I received when compared to two other providers whose bids were $9500 and $8200. How can I refuse that? They were absolutely fantastic. They came here with the guy who had a lap top that had in it a program that would tell him, if he entered the measurements of the room what the price would be, for one coat and what it would be for the second coat. They are very professional. The New York State tax is 7.375 which is over $400 so subtracting that from maybe someplace else in the United States where they don’t charge these crazy taxes like these jokers here then it would be $6300 and change. I would absolutely use them.

I'm the owner of Cutler Salon in New York City; our salons were recently repainted, and it was done by our general contractor. I decided to use our general contractor because they were working one another project for us at the time. It's a mistake I'll never make again! I wish I would have hired CertaPro instead. They provided amazing customer service, responded to my inquiry and quoted me a very reason price quickly, in my opinion dependable and superior to any other company!

I used Certapro on two separate occasions, and I was very happy each time. On both occasions, I met with a representative from Certapro, and he was professional and personable and clearly explained my options. The work commenced on time and was completed in a timely manner and for the agree-upon price. I was completely satisfied with the result at the time, and it has held up beautifully. They were prompt and responsive to the initial call, gave me an estimate on the same day they came to see the job, they started the work on time and confirmed everything at the start of the job, did the work diligently and carefully, the workers spoke English well and communicated well, the workers were very accommodating and didn't make a mess, they did a fantastic job, ended on time, and left everything neat and clean when they left. Vinny, Tom, Vladimir and crew were professional, friendly, highly competent and punctual. The final invoice was exactly in line with the original estimate - no surprises. I will use them again when I'm ready to tackle my next painting project! I highly recommend Certa Pro of Westchester and Southern Connecticut!
