I had used Excellent Air Conditioning last November (2019) to repair some damaged sensors in my Fujitsu ductless air conditioner. I was very happy with the work done, so I called Excellent Air Conditioning when my ductless system stopped working after tropical storm Isaias. I spoke to Glen who is the owner. We discussed installing a new system. Glen took the time to look into what I wanted, and explained what needed to be done. He came with two of his employees a week earlier than he had originally indicated, which I appreciated. They were on time and the work was done quickly and carefully. They made sure the system worked, and they were neat and cleaned up after the work. Glen and his staff are knowledgeable and nice to deal with. I would not hesitate to use them again, and highly recommend them.

Glen from Excellent Air arrived with two helpers, removed our old unit and replaced it with a new Rheem unit. He told us thatthe ducts were old and fragile and needed to be at least cleaned and that it was very possible that some of the ducts could tear with cleaning. He recommended Cunningham ducts for that job and we are grateful for that. The installation went very smoothly but we used the system sparingly because of mold in the ducts..About 2 hours after the ducts were replaced by Cunningham on June 16'th, the syatem stopped working properly. We thought it was possible that Cunningham had inadvertantly caused the problem so we called them. Later, we thought to call Excellent Air and our contact, Liz, told us that Glen would be out today, June 17'th to check the system and not to allow Cunningham to touch the unit as the warranty could possibly be voided. Glen arrived, checked the unit, made sure that there was no freon leak and inspected the duct work to ensure that nothing there had caused the problem. Everything was in order and it turned out that the problem was caused by a power surge. When Glen was finishing his inspection, Briant from Cunningham arrived and they both agreed that a power surge was the most likely reason for the problem. The whole time, Glen was polite and professional. The thing that impressed me the most was the concern for his customer that Glen showed and his prompt response to our problem is greatly appreciated.

The owner, Glenn, came out and gave me a quick quote to fix it. He said he would charge it with nitrogen first to determine whether or not the R22 Freon would hold. After this, he realized he would have to put an electrical relay in the unit as well. He told me that if the unit fails after a few months he would take what I paid for the service and put it toward a new unit. He was hesitant to condemn the unit for insurance purposes because he did not feel it was necessary and I agreed.
