Stefano is the rare breed of contractor who is a man of his word. He has high standards for both himself and his workers. He keeps his appointments and stays in communication. He provides really good work at a very fair price. His business is bigger than the local handyman, but his work is like that of the local guy who does a good job because word of mouth is important to his business. He's prompt and efficient and pays attention to the details. The most impressive part to me was his attention to not making a mess in the house. The tile floors were covered with a cardboard type material that was protective of the floor yet durable and washable. A plastic zipper door was set up in the doorway to keep the dust from spreading. I plan to hire him again next year for more indoor work.

Ignored fixed price and ended up over $100,000 over the agreed price. Let us know he ran out of money while the roof was off the entire house during a rain storm. Used money to pay for "business lunches" and pay his son. Kitchen ceiling done so poorly, kitchen cabinets could not be mounted straight on NEW construction. Would not resolve. Dining room and living room ceiling cracked and loosened. Always coming in 2 weeks never showed up. Walls in dining room cracked in new construction. No returned phone calls. Deck failure on 2nd floor. No returned phone calls. Kept saying how he has no money, yet I needed to pay the subs after he left with his crew. Only showed up to take his ladders and never appeared again. Resulted in a huge loss for us financially to compete was left undone to the point of a second mortgage needed to be taken to clean up after him. We are still repairing his structural flaws and he is still not returning calls, emails. or letters. MIdway through, we found out he has no credit so all materials needed to be purchased for our cash upfront. No discounts, just standard Home Depot pricing. Sloppy plumbing work included disconnecting gas lines and never reconnecting them. Needed to have plumbers come back out to fix and pay them again. He was vouched for by the architect who we paid to oversee the project we used and we had trusted him. We learned our lesson with him as well. Stay away!!
