Not that great. They left the pipe from my oil furnace dangling off the chimney. I called b/c it is scary. Never called me back. They said they'd clean the hearth and never did.

Jimmy J came out to my home look at my problem and explained everything that was going on also took pictures so I can see the damage he was very nice at the point I wanted him to do the work he did a wonderful job I will recommend him to all my friends and family

Company agreed to clean creasote in fireplace over the phone. On arrival, workers said they didn't do that kind of work. Also arrived after 5pm which was outside the predicted range. Otherwise, they were fast and efficient.

Jim and his assistant were OUTSTANDING!!!!! He was honest, explained in plain English what needed to be done and the reasoning. The price was fair and less than other contractors. Material were double wall stainless which made me feel better protected and guaranteed for life. Professional, kept work area clean as they went, really knew what he was doing. Showed me each stage of the job as they went along, since I am interested in watching repairs. The cost was well below and I know that I am safe. I will definitely be having "JIM" back each year to inspect both chimney's to keep me safe. THANK YOU JIM

It was the most unprofessional company that i have received a recommendation on. This is my first time using angies list and most likely my last.

The technicians showed up the next day to give us a quote, and then (once we agreed to the quote) they were able to start work immediately (same day). They installed a chimney cap, sealed two other old chimney pipes (no longer in use), sealed the stone of the chimney itself and also installed a flexible crown seal. It was more than we thought to have done on the chimney, but the peace of mind is worth it. They finished in about 1.5 hours and did a great job. Would hire again.

Excellent experience - showed up on time & were extremely professional. Quickly assessed my chimney and found where the problem was. Best part, they had all parts needed to quickly fix the problem. In & out in maybe an hour and did great works. Also, stand behind their work and offered a life time warranty cert on the damper they installed for me. I would highly recommend & going forward will be using them for regular fire place cleanings.

Had an annual sweep of my chimney and pointing done along with an inspection. The technicians did a wonderful job. They were extremely professional and courteous. Already recommended to family and friend who are looking to have work done.

No show no call after they learned Angies list sent them to the wrong address. Was call & told they’d be here late afternoon. I’ve been waiting ALL DAY.

The chimney sweep was a total scam artist. He claimed I needed a new chimney liner. He claimed my chimney was unsafe, so unsafe that he would not inspect it or clean the chimney. The chimney liner was going to be $1600. After all this, I asked him to write up an estimate. He wrote up an "estimate" but then put zeros next to everything and said I should contact his office. He refused to give me his full name either orally or on the "estimate" he wrote up. I called another chimney sweep who said my chimney was fine (though he recommended adding a cap). He cleaned it for $150.

Awful. Didn’t show. Next day showed at 8:00 am. Convinced me I needed more work done and charged us 700. Tried to light fire sevearsl days later and learned they never even cleaned.

Great! The crew arrived on time. They were very professional in all aspects. They explained everything they were doing and why as they were doing it. There was no trace of any soot after they finished the job. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future. I strongly recommend them to any one in need of their services.

Tech showed up and went in to sales mode. Claimed to have "forgotten" the cleaning brush, so it's clear they don't actually care about doing the cleaning and just want to sell high-priced labor. Tech said he would come back Friday. No show and no call. Scheduled again with the central office, which was cancelled same day because of a 'traffic accident.' Scheduled a fourth time and they no-showed. Cool.

Inspection and cleaning went quick, not sure if done right. But one if the agent was professional and helpful with my questions. For these jobs you always have the feeling that they just come in to stick you with an estimate of what needs to be done, not the actual jobs you paid for.

I had to have my chimney repaired. I had to have some brick work done on the chimney and I needed a cap. I called North American Chimney because I had them out to clean my chimney before and they did a nice job. I called and made an appt. The technicians came out to take a look and gave me a price for a cap and brickwork. I was pleased with the price and I told them to do the job. They did the work that day and I was so happy. The technicians were very professional and knowledgable. I would recommend them to anyone that needs Chimney work as well as fireplaces and many other services.

I signed a contract with North American Chimney on February 1st. I was provided an estimate on the spot and was happy to get a project started. The first appointment was canceled due to a blizzard. On the rescheduled date, I notified the receptionist there was snow and ice on the roof, and was told, “we work in these conditions all the time”. The installer arrived, and said it was too icy. I was fine, and rescheduled. On the third attempt, I again called and said, it seemed “icy to me”. The receptionist said they would make the decision when they arrived. Upon arrival, the installer said it was dangerous and he would prefer to reschedule. I agreed. He called the owner in front of me, and said, “the owner does not want us on the roof”. This was an outright lie. It was the installer’s decision. When he hung up the phone, I inquired why he did that. “It’s just easier that way to say it was you”. On the fourth attempt, the chase cover, and two caps were installed. The roof was clear, but it was bitterly cold. I asked if that would prevent any caulk from curing; “we work in all type of weather”. I thought it was finally done. Two days later, the garage was flooded with a white, milky water. I collected nearly four gallons of water in buckets. When I called, I was told the installer said I had another issue on the roof and that was the problem. I said, it is definitely your issue. After some back and forth, I was able to get an appointment. When the installer arrived, he was rude and accusatory. That was, until he saw the collection of white water, and when I pointed to the two flues in the garage, and sunlight was visibly shining in. The appointment was clearly tense, and I was glad when they were done. Following the replacement of the roof, there was a downpour with wind, and leak appeared on the ceiling upstairs. At first, the obvious culprit was the roofer. That was, until I got up and inspected the quality of the chase cover/cap installation. (see attached pictures). After several hours, we proved the roof was not the issue, and I called North American Chimney. The receptionist said she would pull the paperwork and get back to me. I told her, the original installer made me uncomfortable and I wanted someone else from the company to correct the problem. She agreed. The next day, I was told by receptionist, the owner said the original installer would have to repair the situation. As was communicated to me “I had no alternative then to give him the option to fix it”. Two days, later, with no further communication, not even to schedule the original installer, I called and indicated I would take care of this myself. It is very unfortunate that with this company, the word of the customer has no value. I’ve had to defend myself that issues the installer left truly existed, and also, I’m told that I have no alternative but to have an installer come to my house and generate a tense situation. At no time did the owner reach out and try to resolve the situation. See the pictures. This is what $3000 of materials and installation looks like, and now I’m left to deal with it. And by the way, the website’s primary screen says, “Honesty, integrity, and Reliable Service with a 100% Money Back Guarantee”. I wonder if that will happen.

The were fast to return our call. They were pleasant to deal with and able to schedule us to come within a week. They gave a window when the person would be able to come and updated us on his status to narrow down the window. The gentleman was extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. Didnt have any hidden fees or costs. He was efficient as well. We cant wait to use this company again
