KC Autumn Mist Irrigation

Showed up (I wasn't home) and left invoice in mailbox without performing service (they did the same for neighbor - verified on surveillance camera). I contacted the company and the agent put me on hold while contacting the person who was performing the job. She relayed to me that the technician said he did the houses on the street but that "he'd come back to check". Upon arriving he told my neighbor that he had to get a shovel to locate the in-ground box and was always planning on coming back (different story from what he told his dispatcher). He came back and hooked up compressor to my system for around 2 minutes and then left. I have 8 zones so this isn't possible. They partially blew out 2 zones in the backyard and no other zones. I asked for a call back from the owner which never happened. I called back a few days later and was then connected to the owner who berated me and then hung up. I called back and was told "he doesn't want to do business with people like me"...said "don't pay then"...said "he trusts his guy over me" and didn't want to listen to anything about the situation. Note - I got this company from a friend and had used them for several years without any prior issues. I had another company come who completed the blow out properly and even the one zone that was partially done still had TONS of water left in it. I wonder how many jobs are "done" without doing any work at all - seems like a good scheme to get work in the spring for broken systems. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

What was a great company, is no more. KC Autumn Mist recently changed ownership. As result, the current owner has run it into the ground. Poor service, lousy attitudes in the main office, a disgrace. There's a reason KC Autumn Mist has the lowest scored reviews online across-the-board over all similar companies. The new owner would be smart to see that his way of operating is not working. Perhaps send a postcard to existing and former customers with an apology and a promise to change.

I have been a customer of KC Autumn Mist for the past 16 years. I knew the previous owner. Would see him in church. I had the company install all new irrigation in the front lawn 5 years ago. They blow out my lines every fall. However, this past fall after they blew the lines, the technician never closed the value in the garage. When I turned on the water line the basement, the water flooded my garage. I called the company that Saturday before 12pm. Spoke with the office clerk. Advised her of what occurred and request Kenny give me a call. I need to move all my storage unit and cabinets amongst all the other items which h were saturated in water. I told her this was heavy units and I needed someone to come over and assist. She advise she would call Kenny and have him call me. No call on Saturday. No call on Sunday or Monday. I called the office again and left a message. At this time it was pointless. I had to by myself move all the units out of the garage and fortunately it was sunny outside. This assisted in drying out everything and avoid black mold. Unfortunately, some of these units were press board and damaged. The other point of contention, the Lead Tech lives 5 minutes away from my home. I did get a call from someone from KC. His message was he did not know what the issue was but Kenny would call me later. Needless to say, I never did receive that call either.

Kenny, the owner, was prompt in offering me an initial estimate on the job. He was excellent at communicating the date and time that he and his crew could come and complete the job. On the date planned, the crew arrived promptly. They were all professional and courteous. The quality of the job was excellent and it was completed quickly (6 hours). The property was left very neat and clean, in spite of the vast amount of digging required (in and around 2 walkways). Overall, I was very impressed with Kenny (owner), John (his son) and their experienced crew! The cost of the job was well worth the money quoted, since they didn't "cut corners" on any aspect of the irrigation system! I'm very pleased with the results and I would highly recommend them to others!

They were with Boulder Outdoors. It wasn't really like I chose them or anything. It was part of the original package deal that I had with Boulder Outdoors. But, they were great. I was very happy. They come back just to assess everything and to make sure that the lawn is being properly irrigated and all the new plants that we planted are being well fed. They're very good.

They are great I have used them for 15 years. They are very prompt.

During the course of the day Tom use this big red machine to put the pipe in the ground and his men was right behind him digging holes to place the sprinkler heads.At one time when I left the house I saw all of these holes with mounds of dirt,(the dirt was placed on a piece of plastic to keep it from going into the grass),my yard looked like a scene from Caddy Shack. I was promised by Tom that when the job was completed,the yard would look neet and clean,which it did.As Tom mentioned, using the pieces of plastic for the dirt helped to keep the lawn clean and was easy to closing the holes. My husband and I was very happy with the service that we received with KC Autumnmist Irrigation and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Tom came intially the next day after contacting him for an estimate. Work on the property was still being done without difined borders for lawn an garden areas, but, Tom still surveyed the property, listened to our wishes and went about his estimate. After spending approx. 30 minutes walking around and looking things over he gave us a price while still there. Mind you the entire system was being replaced including changing the location of where the supply would be coming out of the house and on some circuits wrapping around the entire house! We accepted his offer on the spot (We had 3 other companies to give estimates. 1 gave an estimate over the phone only without seeing the property, 1 took two days to get back and another never called back). The next day a small crew was there to lay out pvc pipes and transition lines going under the driveway and future walkway. A month later(at our request) they came back to do the final installation with a big crew going about the project like ants. No yelling or screaming, just a proffessional group of men going about their business all over the property. When everything was done there were no suprises, no additional costs, no damage to anything. They took credit card payment over the phone and have since come back to do final adjustments. A truelly great experiance dealing with this company.
