Geek Squad - Best Buy

I had the worst experience imaginable. I had a geeksquad employee come to my my house to install a graphic card. He broke my computer and couldn’t get it to turn on. It is a 7,000$ gaming rig. He recommended brining it to Bayshire geek squad. I did. They would not return my phone calls. When they did, an employee named Matt was rude to my wife saying I had to come in and pay for a part. When I arrived I was told that they didn’t want to risk installing it because I have a coolant system. Matt was beyond rude and incompetent. They wasted a week and a half of my time only to tell me on the final day that they couldn’t do a simple installation. I will never deal with Geek Squad again. If you come across Matt at Bayshore, avoid him at all costs. I was left with a broken computer and refusal to fix. Worst computer techs ever

Zero stars isn't low enough to express my disgust right now for the best buy geek squad located in long island NY. Punctuality means nothing to them you get text messages and emails for days saying they will deliver your item between a specific time and date. But they show up a whole two hours early of course I'm away because I'm not expecting them early and they leave now I have to wait four days for a redelivery. You guys messed up bad.

Since using them, I used a local computer service. They did good work, but the process was dreadful. The work took a long time. The people were good. They were overbooked but it wasn't the guys fault.

He was very good. I liked that they kept the appointment. He had an appointment in the afternoon and I called him. He was overbooked. I explained to him that I really needed the computer and he came and installed it at 8 o’clock at night. I was very impressed by the fact that he was very dedicated to come and finish the job. It took him a good hour and a half or so. When he left everything was up and running in good shape. He provided good service and gave me contact information if I had any problems. I can get in touch with them through email or phone call. The price was reasonable. I was really happy with them and felt like a valued customer.

The service seemed to be good. We came in and bought the computer very smoothly and and seemed to be professional also.

To be honest, we found that Best Buy offers really good prices and we have been very satisfied with our purchases from them. They hire people there that are pretty good. They sell good products that, at least to date, have held up beautifully for us and we had no problems with Best Buy at all.

I like Best Buy. They have good sales and they can save you a bundle. It always depends on who is working at the time and what you are in need of though. I was lucky and to date, knock on wood, my system is up and doing fine. I would buy from them again because they gave me no problems and I got a good price on what I got. In retrospect, I guess they could be a little more personal.

I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT COMPUTERS, BUT THE MAN AT BEST BUY WAS A LOT OF HELP. THEY WERE NOT BUSY, AND WERE ABLE TO CLEAN UP MY COMPUTER'S HARD DRIVE WHILE I BROWSED THE STORE. IT ONLY TOOK BETWEEN ONE AND TWO HOURS TO GO THROUGH EVERYTHING.

IT WAS A BIT OF A PRODUCTION, BUT THEY DID A GOOD JOB OF SAVING ALL OF MY FILES. THEY ARE VERY GOOD AT THEIR JOB, AND THE PRICES CHARGED FOR COMPUTER REPAIRS IS REASONABLE.

BEST BUY IS A RELIABLE COMPANY. WE HAVE USED THEM BEFORE THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE AN OUTSTANDING JOB FOR US. THE WORKERS ARE NICE AND FRIENDLY. THE JOB WAS DONE IN NO TIME.

BEST BUY QUOTED THE PRICE UP FRONT. THEY DID AND PERFORMED THE JOB THAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. HE EVEN FINISHED THE REPAIR IN A FASHIONABLE MANNER.

I HAVE USED THEIR COMPUTER REPAIR SERVICE IN THE PAST, I'VE ALWAYS BEEN SATISFIED, THEY'RE RELIABLE, CHARGE A FAIR PRICE AND I LOVE THE FACT THAT THE REPAIRS ARE USUALLY DONE OVERNIGHT SO I CAN GET IT THE NEXT DAY.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS AWFUL. THEY KEPT OUR CAMCORDER OVER THE HOLIDAYS SO WE COULDN'T VIDEOTAPE OUR DAUGHTER OPENING CHRISTMAS PRESENTS. THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT AND WHEN WE FINALLY GOT IT BACK, IT WASN'T FIXED. WE RETURNED IT 3 MORE TIMES AND EACH TIME THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED AND IT WASN'T. WE MISSED MANY SPECIAL EVENTS, INCLUDING MY DAUGHTER'S PRESCHOOL CHRISTMAS PAGEANT BECAUSE THEY KEPT IT SO LONG. EVEN THOUGH THE WARRANTY STATED THE CAMCORDER SHOULD BE REPLACED AFTER THAT MANY ATTEMPTS AT FIXING IT, BEST BUY REFUSED TO REPLACE THE CAMERA AND KEPT SAYING THEY WOULD FIX IT.
