I had discovered cracks on my foundation walls in the basement and called E & M for free estimate. Came to my house on the same day and had a look at the basement. Very professional and seemed knowledgeable, explained how waterproofing works and answered my questions. He gave an estimate few days later via mail. I think the pricing was really fair, though I didn't pick this company because I had other things aside from waterproofing to be done which they don't do. But if I have to pick a waterproofing company next time I would definitely get them or recommend to my friends.

E&M did an excellent job of coming in, diagnosing the problem, and explaining what they could do for us. They were a very professional organization in that regard and when they came in to do the job, they were just as professional. They did the work, which involved jackhammering up around the foundation in the back and then pouring in sealant etc., all in a single day with a minimal amount of disruption. Since we had the work done we have had no moisture coming in from the backyard. We feel great about the work they did and would highly recommend them for their competence, courtesy, and professionalism.

They came earlier than planned so I did not get there in time to see how they did their work. The end result looked good. They gave me an estimate including work they did not have to do. I asked for a refund for that part and they offered but have not sent me back the money.

Ed was great. Quick and efficient. I was still had a leak after he provided his services. I called his company around 930 PM. WIthin 20 minutes, he called me back and said that he would have someone out there the following morning. This is the way that business is supposed to be done. EXCELLENT

Every business should take customer service from the owner Ed. What more can I say? He came out and explained my problem is terms I could understand, and explained the proper fix. I was promised an 8-8:30a arrival by the crew the day of the work, and they were a bit early! They told me how long it would take, and finished early! Ed came by at the start of the job, and promised to touch base after they finished to make sure I was happy. I was! I can't say whether any water might still seep in... because it hasn't rained since... but I bet it doesn't -- and I bet if there's any issue, it will be fixed! Before the crew left, they cleaned up and replanted some shrubs they had to move. Good work. Fair price. Great service. Use them!

Things turned out great. No more issues. They were professional, punctual, and pleasant to work with.

They arrived promptly at 7:00am with a big enough crew and supplies needed to complete the job in one day. Eddie the owner was on hand all day to oversee the crew. They were all very professional, they began work immediately. They covered everything in the basement in plastic so as to not get it dirty from the dust. They moved very fast and when they came up on obstacles Eddie (who has 30 years experience) redesigned the plan on the spot to make it work. They were finished earlier than I expected (around 3pm) and they took the time to clean everything up. We had the system installed a day before the big rainstorm. Normally our basement would be flooded, we checked all day not a single drop of water made it into our house. We are so excited and pleased with the work done. Eddie even called the next day to give my husband further instructions on what to look out for until the cement dried and settled. They were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend them to anyone.

Workers arrived on time and performed all listed work. Area was graded and cleaned. Since the worked was performed there was one heavy rain. The repaired area did not leak, and the basement was dry.

They have had to come back a couple of times and they are coming back tomorrow. Every time we have had a problem they come back. They come back very quickly. We had a lot of damage from the storm. I like that they are willing to come back and fix it if there is a problem. It is not a terrible problem because we keep checking it. If it had been totally fixed the first time it would have been better. The fact that he was willing to come back early the next morning, they have been very responsive.

Ed came for a consult about some water issues I had in my crawl space he was incredibly honest with me and laid the facts out straight. In the end based on his advice we decide to leave it alone. He's incredibly honest and gave me some great advice. If I ever need to do any sort of waterproofing in the future I would definitely call him and I would highly recommend him as well.

Great communication from start to finish. All work was completed as promised, when promised. Will recommend E&M to anyone having basement or foundation water issues.

We called and the owner of E& M Waterproofing, Ed Mihelic, came to evaluate the situation and drew up a proposal with plans and a contract. He soon followed up with a letter thanking us for contacting his company and asking us if we had further questions. We decided to go ahead with the work and Ed gave us a date. The crew showed up on the appointed day exactly on time and started work immediately. Ed stopped by to check after their work and answer any questions. The lines of communication were always open and Ed was always available for questions. We are very pleased with their work. Luckily we haven't had a flood for the drainage system to work but we have complete faith in their efficacy.

Eddie and E and M knows his/their stuff when it comes to waterproofing. Ed is also honest, straight forward, and says it like it is. He came promptly and evaluated the property and determined that the work we planned to do was not the best fit for our home. He suggested an alternative which was cheaper and less prone to damage our older home's 18-24 inch concrete foundation. The work was done promptly and was not deemed complete until we were completely happy with the job. We have since recommended this solid company to friends.

Ed. came to my house right on time, he was very professional, well knowledgeable of the problem that I have, uses simple words in his explanation of what can be done to remedy the problem. His estimate was fair but a little out of my league. I will recommend him to any one looking for an honest contractor.

We had leak in basement and called E &M prior to super storm Sandy. It rained heavily the day they were supposed to come and so job was posponed. Despite the increase in Business from Sandy, this company did not forget us. They were here today on time and did exactly what they promised. The job was initialy $800, but with Angie coupon we paid $720. Great deal!!

Very honest and helpful. Could have charged me a ton of money. Instead, he was very honest about assessing my needs and gave expert advice that didn't actually require his work. I would recommend them 100%!

Before deciding on E&M, I got other estimates. Some companies were recommending french drains and E&M recommended repairing it from the outside. Matt (Eddie's nephew) showed up and examined the area and felt that since the amount of water I was getting was not much and it was localized to one spot, that it could be repaired from the outside. Basically, the leak was coming from where my new foundation was meeting my old foundation. Matt speculated that it was most likely a crack along joint. Matt left an estimate and even referred me to their coupon on Angie's list. After that, I dealt with Eddie over the phone. Our first appointment had to be cancelled due to rain but he rescheduled me for the next week. He was professional and pleasant. That morning, his workers showed up and did the job in about four hours. They worked neatly and were polite. Eddie instructed me to call him if there were any problems, however, everything went without a hitch. We have had two heavy rains since the work and the basement is dry. However, even if there was a problem the work is guarenteed for, I believe, 10 years. I recommend this company highly. It was a great, stress free experience. BTW, I also got an estimate from another company to repair from the outside and it was $600 more. So not only is E&M a great company but their prices are reasonable!!!

Eddie went to the basement and listened carefully as I explained where I had seen water entering. Then he took me outside and showed me what was most likely causing the leaks: the ground on that side of the house had sunk over time and water was pooling near the foundation, the new back door saddle needs caulking, and the chimney needs to be repointed. He told me to get someone to raise the part of the lawn against the house so that water would drain away from the house. No charge. Eddie was very personable and professional and gave me the feeling that he knows his business. I will highly recommend him to anyone looking for basement waterproofing because he is more interested in solving the problem than he is in squeezing money out of customers. We need more providers like him!

We could not have had a better experience. Ed came and inspected the work prior to its completion and even provided new window well guards at no extra cost. His work crew were on time, professional and responsive to all of our concerns. They left with the area looking just as good if not better than when they started.

We met Ed Mihelic and myself . he talked about options . I decided that the best way to go was to close up the window. They bricked in the opening and refinished the foundation so u could not know that a window was ever there. and it has never leaked ,it is one year later. Ed was very professional and timely in his dealings with me at all times

I had water coming in from under the wall. I researched basement waterproofers on Angie's List and was impressed with E&M's reviews. They came down and gave me an estimate, and explained how what they would do would fix the problem and was guaranteed for 10 years. I had other waterproofers come down, and none impressed me as much as E&M, even though some had a cheaper price. E&M came down and did the work as promised; the crew was great and left the area where they worked very clean. We've had a few rains since, and so far the basement is bone dry. Some other waterproofers told me I needed a sump pump, but E&M said it would be overkill for my situation, and all I needed was to dig down etc as described above.

When we first called Ed came to the house. He inspected the basement, and looked outside. Then he came in and showed us what would be done. He also explained the materials used, and their function. He gave us a date. The night before Ed called to tell us that they would be there thr next day. The crewmen called just prior to let us know they were coming. When they arrived they were prompt, and professional. They dug down to the bottom of the foundation, cleaned and chiseled out the cracks. Then applied a coat of cement in and around the crack. Then a coat of tar was applied before the waterproofing material was on. The hole was backfilled and plants were replaced, you can hardly tell they were even here. A job well done.

I called E&M based on the reviews on AL and due to water issues we were having with our basement. Steve came out on a Sunday to survey and diagnose the problem & , formulate a solution. Steve was friendly, prompt, and courteous. He explained how E&M would help to alleviate our problem and said that we'd have a quote via fax the next day. As promised the quote was there. It was quite fairly priced for the services outlined. Couple that with the 10% coupon available to AL members and you've got one heck of a bargain. I firmly believe that these guys can and will get the job done and, based on my dealings with Steve, will do it right and stand behind their work. We decided to go a different way (re-grading the land rather than starting with french drains & dry wells), but if this does not solve our problems, E&M will be the first ones we call.
