We asked two companies to come and look at it. One never got back to us with an estimate. But James Rhodes at Riverton did get back to us with an estimate that was reasonable and he performed the work himself and spotted a couple of other trouble areas that he took care of also. This work was good, but took way too long with large unexplained gaps in time. We signed a contract on 7/7/2012 with a 50% downpayment. The downpayment was supposed to guarentee our materials, but when the job started the contractor had switched our brand of siding and therefore the color was slightly off. We asked for the right siding and color, but were told that it would cost US $500 more to get the original and we woiuld have to wait 6 more weeks. We were told the work might start in August, then September, then October 1. Finally work started on October 8th for about 2 to 3 days a week. Then they disappeared for all of November, while still cashing my weekly checks. After several days of work in December, and a few in January, the work was almost done, except for the eaves troughs. Then there was negotiation for the rest of the money. We paid all but the troughs. A few days later the ice melted off the roof. The crew showed up and finished the eaves, so we paid the rest of the bill. NEVER tell this crew that you are in no hurry. The crew leader knew how to do a good job, and kept his crew on point when they were here working. Six months to do a job that should have taken 5-6 weeks.
