+ -1 moreThey are the contruction company that I used that I am extremely pleased with. They did a fabulous job. They were marvelous to work with, very efficient, on time, they cleaned up, they came in at exactly the price that they said that they would. They were never delayed, never tied up, never failed to show. I appreciate their honesty, when they told me they cannot do my porch, rather than misleading and misdirecting me.
Description of Work: I had a bathroom redone, about 3 or 4 years ago.

+ 5 moreIt went very well. I had the master bath remodeled a few years ago, so it's interesting to compare the two contractors. EMK did a great job of planning and understanding that finishing the job is important. Without that skill, a project can linger much longer that it needs to be - and believe me, when you don't have a kitchen, time is of the essence. If you decide to use EMK I have a little advice: 1. Eddie was the guy on site and he was awesome! He was very good at making sure the project moved forward and stayed on time, and pulled us in on decisions with enough lead time. 2. Use their vendors for granite and tile - they were great and surprisingly affordable! I regret not doing the same thing for the cabinets. 3. Listen to them. They have good advice that is worth considering. I think I have the best kitchen and porch ever. Thanks EMK!
Description of Work: Remodel kitchen, remove load bearing wall, add large screened in porch and patio, new roof, refinish hardwood floors.

Description of Work: Meeting Elliot with EMK was great, and the quote was well done. Once the work started, the work was not that great. The crew was OK, but Elliot was not around much, and some items were not completed as agreed. I asked specifically that the deck be completed a certain way, but it was not. The workers left gaps in the tiles, and they used 2 different colors of grout in the same room. That was crazy. They also got paint on the carpet, which we couldn't get out, and the paint in an upstairs bathroom was only 1 coat, so you can see the wood underneath. They also got paint, left pencil marks, and grout on the tile that they installed. I just wound up letting it go in the end. I just wanted the work to be completed, but I was not satisfied in the long run.

+ -1 moreThe project took two and half month. I am a retired person, but in many instances I did find an hour before that they would show up, but I am fortunate that I am a retired person it did not matter to me, but a little better communication beforehand would have been helpful.
