Ward Brothers Tree & Crane Svc

The crew was doing a neighbors tree (trimming). I called out to the guy up in the tree and asked how much to take down my maple that had outgrown my small yard. The quote was far less than I expected. They took down my tree, cut the wood into fireplace length rounds, chipped the small branches and leaves, ground down the stump, and cleaned up the site. One guy even netted the litter that got into the pool. I am very happy with the workmanship. Please note that I was given a lower price because I'm retired and on a fixed income. Very kind of them.

Ward Brothers was wonderful. Their fee was way less than another estimate I got, and they got to me much sooner than the other company said they could. The guys were very efficient and did a great job. Would call them again with no hesitation.

They were great. They cleaned up. They had the lowest price and they did an excellent job. They were right on time. They showed up when they said they would. They were in and out. They did the work and were out of here very quickly. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Perfect. Crew arrived on time, courteous and efficient. Removed the; trees and stumps and cleaned the area. You would never know they were here based on there cleanup . They needed to move the massive crane to the back of the property and used special mats so as not to injure the lawn.; Todd came promptly to give us a bid (we had three). They had the best price and most professional bid. He said he'd be here in 2 1/2 weeks. We didn't hear from him and my husband called a few times...we got nervous that they wouldn't show. On Tuesday night, we had a message that they would be here the next morning. They were! Would use them again and again.

Ward brothers are very professional in every respect. Very safety conscious as all their workers wore safety equipment...Hard working and they performed the tree removal safely without any damage to mine or my neighbors property. The area that they had to work in required them to dismantle a backyard fence and reassemble it afterwards. Also they were careful to lay down boards before running their 23 ton crane truck over my lawn to minimize Swales. They showed extreme attention to detail and cared for my property as if it was their own.. You can shop around and can go cheaper but you might be left with more head aches....you get what you pay for. I would recommend them again! Very pleased with the results!

Crew arrived promptly as scheduled. Work took about 2 hours. Clean-up was thorough, and they left no mess. My only gripe is that it took 7 weeks from the date of the quote (9/11/15) to the date of the actual work. During that time, I called 3 times to get a schedule or some feedback. Each time - nothing. The only call I got was on October 29 (day before arrival) with a "Can we stop by tomorrow to do the job." The owner needs to work on his customer service skills and his follow-up techniques. Bad news travels faster than good news.

They arrived just before 8am and walked the property to mark off and cover sprinkler heads and began to lay down the ground protection for the crane. The crane assisted in the removal of the tree near our deck and then they went to the other side of the property to drop 4 other trees with such precision (want them back to do some more once I saw how "easy" it looked)...they clearly know there stuff! The crew consisted of about 5 guys, all of which were very pleasant to deal with. From removal to stump grinding and clean up...fabulous!!! The only downside to the business is the phone response time. It's understandable they can't get to the calls if they're always working and it's too bad the don't have a service to field their calls. Speaking of busy, they have you on almost a 2 month wait and that's without any storms popping up in between that would push you out further. We've already decided they are worth the wait and have already passed their name on to neighbors and family, as well, we plan on using them again!

They were excellent, they cleaned up after themselves, no swearing, very professional, cleaned the driveway and front lawn up for me, they even cut the wood up at the length I needed it and stacked it for me. i recommend them to everyone.

I like everything. They're polite, clean, efficient, wasted no time, dependable, and honest workers. They did their job, they came when they said they were coming, and did what they said they will do.

This was a challenging project. The largest tree was a huge maple leaning over our backyard. This one tree took almost three hours to remove. They climbed high into the tree and took it down piece by piece. As the tree man cut, the crew moved the cuttings to the front yard for chipping. All of the large pieces were dropped gently to the ground using ropes. Three more large trees were very close to the house. These required the Ward Brothers crane. They dropped the tree guy into the trees, he cut pieces from top to bottom and the crane lifted them over the house into the front yard for chipping or later removal. For trimming the large white pine, they used the cherry-picker. Lower branches were removed and the rest of the tree was shaped to our liking. We got the original estimate in early October. They promised to do the work in early December. They called a few days in advance to confirm the start date. The crew arrived at 7:30am as promised and finished by 4:00PM. The yard looks cleaner then when they arrived. Except for some clean cut stumps, it is hard to tell they were here. We have used the Ward Brothers for years both at our home and also our son's home in Cohoes. They are dependable, safe and reasonably priced. All of their crew are knowledgeable and professional.

The crew arrived on time and worked hard for 10 hours to remove the tree and grind the stump. They left the yard cleaner than when they arrived. They were were professional and a pleasure to work with. Their cost was a quarter of the highest quote we received and half of all the others. I'll admit to being apprehensive beforehand, but there was certainly no reason for it. Their phone response is a little slow, but considering our job was 7 weeks out from when we scheduled, I'll assume it's because they are very busy. I will gladly recommend them to anyone and will certainly use them again when the need arises. My husband and I were extremely satisfied with the work. Thank you Todd, Tom and the rest of the crew!

Ward brothers came and took down 3 large trees and 1 small tree as well as some extensive prune to a maple tree..ItI took some phone calls to finally get a date set for the work to be done but when they arrived they where efficient and professional. They where able to accommodate some last minute request on my part for extra work. When finished they did a through clean up. Very pleasant crew to work with and I would hire them again

I called them 9/15/2014 @ 1:30pm and again 9/18/2014 @ 9:50am. They never called back.

The Whole project went well. They were originally hired by my neighbor as the tree that fell originated on their property. The neighbors had other work done at the same time. A discount was given as they were already on the job at the neighbors. Very professional and quickly done. The team worked together very effectively. No guess work on their part as everyone knew their job and what to do next. I would definitely hire them again.

We’re very satisfied with them. They assess the job, did it when they said they would, and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. Their pricing was competitive and I liked the details they provided.

Having heard good reviews from several neighbors for the company, we called for an initial estimate on removal of 1-2 sickly looking trees in the backyard. We were surprised and happy to hear that the one of the "tree-guys" could stop by the following evening to perform the estimate. The estimate was reasonable and competitive with other companies. We were told that the we were ahead of the big rush and that the company was only 1.5-2 weeks out on jobs. After deciding to go ahead with the work, it took 2 or 3 separate attempts at calling the company to book the job. We were once again told that they were 1.5-2 weeks out on jobs. We were also told to expect a call several days before their arrival to confirm when the trees would be cut down. Two weeks went past without any word. We ended up calling the company to verify when the work would be completed. This once again took several attempts at calling, as messages and phone calls went unanswered. This is our only reason for downgrading the company's Responsiveness -- in all other aspects, they were fantastic. Once we got through with our phone calls, we were told that the crew would be there in the middle of the afternoon on Friday of that same week. To our surprise, the crew actually showed up hours earlier -- just before noon. They immediately set to work climbing the larger of the two trees and topping off limbs as they went. The crew's expertise was incredible. The trees needing removal were located in a tight spot between neighbor's fences, backyard sheds, and other trees. To make matters worse, it was a windy day and the trees continued to sway the entire time the climber was up there. But the men worked quickly and carefully to avoid the obstacles and removed both trees in less than 2 hours. Their clean-up following the removal was also top-notch --- you could hardly tell that trees had been there just hours before. The job was completed in mere hours and at the agreed upon estimate price. The crew also allowed us to keep several yards of the wood chips for use in landscaping around the yard. All in all, we were very happy with the work completed and would use this company again in the future.

They showed up at approx. 8:30 as planned and The "Climber" topped the trees in rapid order while 3 others removed and ground up limbs and cores.By 1:30 the area was raked/swept and leaf blown clean. They were curteous, prompt, accurate ,skilled and reasonably priced. Without hesitation, I recommend Ward Brothers Tree Service!!
