I will then lay out a plan to accomplish the vision you have for the space.
I would only use subcontractors if you needed a space cleared very quickly or had junk that just needed to be removed.
If moving, I could help find a moving company to meet your needs.

Between innate disorganization, absorbing my mother's things into the décor mix, and a run of irritating though not life threatening illness, I'd let my house become an eyesore, just a chaotic mess. Stuff was everywhere. I'd turned my bed into a large drawer and the rest of the room into a hall of horrors. The nice things were invisible and the crap was overwhelming. Plus, I couldn't find anything that wasn't on top. Jordana arrived, we took a walk through, and made some plans. The price wouldn't be small but another Angie's Lister commented that it was well worth the result. She arrived for her first visit exactly on time with bins for sorting and a genuine "can do" attitude. The results after this and four more visits have been just wonderful. She even allows for a small amount of hemming and hawing with an "undecided" bin, but moves me along to the next item. And the next, And the next. She has indulged my desire to retain and store some clothes I've "out grown" and even to hang onto a couple with high sentimental value. So far, we've worked through two bedrooms (though the main one remains a work in process), my den (aaaaaarrrrrrrgggggg would have been a fair description), and even the kitchen (as in "abandon hope all ye who enter here") After her most recent visit, sitting in the den, I was struck by how much I like my little house. That's the first time that thought crossed my mind in more that eighteen months. I may need to amend this review as time goes on and we make further progress. It's a pleasure counting off the improvements - both as personal successes and as proof of Jordana's effectiveness. To say I am grateful would be an understatement. Oh, did I mention how enjoyable a person she is? We laugh a lot. Thank you, God, for making Jordana.
Description of Work: Jordana is a savior. With a gentle but absolutely persistent hand, she has transformed my home back into a home from a sea of clutter and confusion. Bags and bags of stuff (clothes, clothes, shoes, and more clothes) have been ushered from my rooms to charities or the dumpster. What she leaves behind is peace and order.

Admittedly at first, I had a little sticker shock, but that's only because I didn't understand it. She's not the lady to come in and mop your floors. She's the one who helps you put systems and processes in place so you can GET to your floors! lol I have project manager responsibilities in my "day job" and am otherwise incredibly organized in our social and professional lives. I've never learned good home keeping skills though, and neither had my husband, so it was hard for us to get out of our own way. We also have a special needs son for whom clutter was not really ideal. Jordana's consultation was free, and was SO helpful. She spent well over an hour with me, going through the house, talking about what our lives actually look like so that her system would match how we'd really use it, and not try to put something in place that we'd not be able to follow. Part of the most important thing though is I've never felt judged by her. I've had MANY people in the home to help clean and organize in the past, and probably 50% have a snide attitude to them about how messy our house can get. Bottom line is we both work a lot of hours, and have limited time to devote to our house, so Jordana helped us make sure we were working SMARTER, not harder. We started with our biggest bottlenecks first, and have been tackling other areas of the house bit by bit as time goes on. She can do it in about 1/4 the time it would take me to (especially think about how you get trapped down memory lane, then next thing you know everything is all over the place and out, and you're out of steam!). It's funny too because her idea from my office was one I never would have thought of, and even expressed doubt that it was a good idea but that I'd trust her because she is the expert, but when she was done, I LOVED it. SO GOOD! She's always on time (in fact, a few minutes early, but doesn't ring the doorbell until time) and I really trust her 100%. As she's gotten to know me better, she can do a lot of the work without my input. I would say that, especially in the beginning, you have to be willing to commit to the process and provide input to get the most out of it, but if you're ready to tackle something big, you can accomplish a TON. She also took care of purchasing supplies and doesn't mark them up, just gives me a receipt to reimburse (plus a small amount of shopping time, which is worth it). And, she solved our litter box problem with a genius recommendation. I have invested over time probably a couple thousand (over about 2 years?) but it's been worth every. single. penny. Every dollar/hour in returns multiple back. Every hour I pay her for gives me back the 2 hours it would have taken me to do, not to mention time savings in other areas of my life - I would estimate a 400% ROI on time (1 hour in, 4 hours out). And really, when it comes down to it, that's the most valuable commodity in my life. I cannot recommend her highly ENOUGH. EVERYONE needs her. lol
Description of Work: I have used Jordana multiple times, and continue to use her services as our needs and lifestyle change. I've used housekeepers but have never been able to stay "ahead" of the mess. Jordana helped us identify where our bottlenecks are, some psychological things we are doing (and I'm super-organized in the rest of my life - just not my house!) and helped us build a system in place so that everything is easier and less prone to future mess.

Jordana was excellent! Not only was she efficient, but very nice to deal with and very professional. She set-up my mother's apartment so it was "cozy" and put everything in its logical place, and she did it all over an eight hour period. It would have taken me days. In addition, she had to contend with an unexpected problem. As my mother was helping her dog off the leash outside the patio door, both she and her dog were attacked by a hive of yellow jackets. She ran outside and helped get my mother inside and was stung herself. She not only stayed to finish the job, but showed genuine concern for my mom and walked over to the apartment management office to talk to them about the bee problem. She thought they should spray and she wanted to make sure it would be done. Jordana was a real lifesaver to me. As I work all day, it was great to have someone move my 'older' mom (76 years) in and get settled in a timely manner. It is hard enough to move a parent after 40 years in one place. It was much easier to settle her with Jordana. I would hire her again in an instant. As well, I have already referred her many times. Worth every dollar!

This has been a life changing event for me. The clutter had been building up for several years and kind of snuck up on me until it was overwhelming. It had definitely started to affect my productiveness in the job as I was feeling almost paralyzed when I started to work everyday. I am really impressed by Jordanna's professionalism. She was completely non judgemental with my embarrassing clutter and her goal was to not only help me fix the problem but to show me how to not have it happen again, which I can say I am doing. She was very punctual and kept every session we scheduled. Like I said, this has been life changing and was well worth the investment. I am planning on using her in the future for other areas of the house, that are not as cluttered, but I know could be used more efficiently. I highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: I work out of my home and my home office had become overridden with paperwork and work supplies. My garage area also was overloaded as it is a storage area for extra work supplies. "Simply You" came in and not only helped me purge unneeded items, but also helped to create a more efficient lay of my office and new filing systems and storage ideas. She even helped create a work station that is just for bringing in new supplies. This helps by being able to unload the many boxes I receive right away and put them away instead of having to stay in boxes for way too long. The goal was to have a "home" for everything, and she definitely succeeded.
