Very personable and worked till he found the problem.

I had new kitchen cabinets put in with the new sink and new kitchen countertop. This was a large project considering we had to take apart part of the wall rebuild the kitchen and put in several new electric outlets that needed to be brought up to code. Phil did a phenomenal job of doing all the work and identifying quick fixes that made things effective efficient and affordable. I'm having more work done by Phil because he is so good I would highly recommend his services but plan in advance because he is so much in demand because of his qualifications and his good service.

Phil was excellent. He responded quickly when I issued the request on Angie's list and came over the view the work the same day. He scheduled an appointment the following Monday and was there on time. He repaired the leak at the cost he stated and worked late to ensure the job was done. Frankly, I was amazed at this level of service and strongly recommend for your plumbing needs.

Phil did an awesome job, he's totally recommended. When he came over for an estimate he figured out the issues and he tightened a leaky outdoor hose spigot for free before he left. He called with a very reasonable price and came over and replaced 2 leaky and very corroded input pipes to the toilets with new pipes and valves at the toilets and pex down in the basement with valves. On the way out he tightened another outdoor spigot. No hassle, good price, new pipes, leaks gone, what else can you ask for?

Phil was just a pleasure to have at the house. He was running a little late for our appointment but called me to let me know. I had to leave the house while he was there and when I returned, the work had been done, everything picked up and spotless. He had to come back to connect the new stove when it came, and it took very little time. He's professional, respectful of my time, and charges a very fair price. I would have him back again in a heartbeat!

The new door looks great. I was very pleased with the contractor's work and work ethics. He caulked every seam and used insulating foam to ensure it well weatherproofed. Everything looks and works well.I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

The job was difficult and required the contractor to cut off the original faucets. In addition, he had to cut off some of the drain pipes because they too were corroded. He was patient and his work was clean. He's truly a professional. I would recommend him in a minute.

called him late morning and he returned my call within 15 minutes. He stopped by between jobs to see what would need to be done. At the time i had water all over the kitchen since it was leaking badly from under the sink and the kitchen was flooded. Phil knew almost immediately what was needed. He gave me an estimate and said he would be back between 2 and 3. He was back at 3 and by 5 everything was done including cleanup, and at the agreed price. I would definitely use him again and would reccomend him highly.

They did an excellent job! He was on time, neat, and cleaned up after himself. The price was extremely reasonable, and overall I had an excellent experience with them.

It was excellent. He got back to us very promptly which was good. He was very thorough in his work and took his time to find the problem. Our plumbing problem was actually in the wall.

This project went flawlessly from start to finish. Phil made sure to discuss all the details as I walked him through everything I needed. He was extremely prompt and made the most out of each day he worked. He has an assured demeanor and is a great communicator. After years of frustration attempting to find a good handyman, my search has ended. Phil is it!

Phil is very knowledgeable, professional and a genuinely nice guy to do business with. His prices are very fair. He was late on one of our appointments, but kept us posted while dealing with an emergency job.

Phil came for an estimate ahead of time and then scheduled the job. He arrived, set to work, and explained the various tasks when I asked questions. He was pleasant, professional, and focused on the job. We discussed one decision re: the dryer vent pipe in terms that were understandable to a non-handy person. I was happy to have found him, and the price for all the work was very reasonable. I've already recommended him to a co-worker.

I used a coupon and he replaced the window for free. He was very professional, punctual and a nice easy going guy. He worked with me and did everything that I asked for.

It was great. It was a little expensive but the work itself was great. It was such good work that the price was understandable. He was very nice and personable. He was upfront and honest on everything. There were no additional costs to the estimate that he provided. I found out after the fact that the price was a little high.

This was my 3rd or 4th time using PTO. Phil is always professional and reasonable. He is my go to service for any household plumbing services!

They did a good job but they didn’t finish some details. I can’t tell if they didn’t do it at the same time. My mistake was that I didn’t sign a contract with them because I had a problem before with other companies. He was polite and told us to do what he could do to fix the mistakes. We were excited about it. He told us that he will come the following day to start the job. He came to do the work but he didn’t finish the details on the floor. I asked him about it and he said he will be back because he had a problem with his son. I told him it was okay and I gave him an amount of money. He just needed to put the bolt because we made a bigger entrance on the kitchen. There were some holes on the floor and he would need to close those. He didn’t come back on Monday because that’s what he said he would come back. I called him on Wednesday and Friday but he didn’t answer. I left him a message and I sent him texts but he didn’t answer them. I called again and somebody picked the phone up. I told the person that I am a customer told me that he will tell Phil about it. But he did not call me back. I told my experience to my neighbor and she told me she had some experience with him, too. She wanted to use him again but he never came ut to take a look at the job or call her back.

It appeared the job was going to be to remove about 6 rows of cedar siding. However, once that was removed it was evident there was some underlying damage to plywood and 2x4's and a sill plate, caused by water and carpenter ants. Phil and his assistant carefully piecemeal removed and replaced the damaged wood. There was a large window over the damaged area, and they improvised some supports to hold everything while pieces were replaced. It is in a time like this that you really appreciate having an experienced handyman. After replacing all the wood, they put in flashing, built a sill for the window, and silicone caulked the spacing under each layer of cedar siding. This was all very carefully and skillfully done. Phil is very good at looking at a complex problem and finding a good solution for it. As for timing of the job, it took almost 2 months from job estimate to the start of the job - he's pretty well booked up. But once he started, he always called to let us know when he would next be there (e.g., rain).

It went GREAT. Angie offered a Deal $739 for a New Natural Gas Replacement Water Heater Installation (Brand American) , I grabbed it and was contacted by PTO Home Service and Repairs early Monday morning. Phil O'Brien, Owner was at my home to look at my water heater at 11:00 AM. He actually was able to start it up. However, I explained that I wanted it replaced as I was going on vacation, and the unit was 17 yrs. old. It was time. He did point out to me that I indeed have a PowerVent, which, was excluded in Angie's write up, and I agreed. He spoke to his distributor and got a price for the PowerVent. He informed me that it would be an additional $500.00. He was able to do the work on Wednesday, but something came up with me, and was able to get it installed Thursday. I had my furnace cleaned 6 weeks prior, and I had my furnace man give me an estimate as my water heater was acting up, which was higher by approx. $$350. Phil O'Brien was was very professional, punctual, friendly, appeared to be honest, and got the job done in timely manner. I'm happy, and will definitely use PTO Home Service and Repairs for any of my plumbing needs in the future.. Great doing business with Phil O'Brian, and Thanks Angieslist. You make things easy to get accomplished.

Phil was very busy and could not get back to me with a date to unclog my drain for a couple of days. I had standing water in my sink and could not use it so I had to call in another plumber to take care of it. Phil explained that he had an employee quit while he was on vacation and he has just been overloaded with his current jobs. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner. We agreed that he would refund the money for the coupon as I used someone else.

Phil and his employee arrived on time ready to work. My front porch was in need of more repair than first apppeared. However PTO was up for the challenge and did not let this deter them from the job at hand. It was a very warm day and the sun beamed down on them for most of it. In spite of these obstacles PTO did a excelllent job. My porch looks brand new again.

The job went smoothly from start to finish. Phil was here 3 hours and did everything as he said he would. Phil is professional, personable and knows what he is doing. My wife and I will refer him to friends and family.

Phil called back the same day I initially left a message inquiring about his services and then came a few days later to provide a quote at the house. He was always very professional and polite, and did a nice job with both installations. I'm very pleased and will certainly use their services again for more projects during the coming months.
