Thorough, professional...great experience. The transaction did not close because of pretty serious defects including pervasive mold. These guys saved me from a very bad property.

Marc arrived early and was very thorough. He answered all my questions. I used them in the past and this time was just as good.

The home inspector from HouseMaster, Mr. Rotondi, was professional, timely, courteous and thorough. We had to reschedule and we were accommodated with no difficulties at all. The inspection itself was done with a thoroughness and expertise that we were very pleased with. Mr. Rotondi explained all of his findings and gave us related suggestions. If we ever need a home inspector again, we will use HouseMaster.

They were excellent. In fact, I called them about 6 months ago because I needed the radon test results and they went into the archive and found them for me. I appreciated that very much. They actually have an I-pad type device and they pretty much input everything as they go through the house. They were able to turn the report around in a day or so and that was amazing.

We were referred to Marc by our real estate agent. Marc arrived at the home early and was on the roof before we even got there. When he came down, he introduced himself and gave us a verbal run through of how he worked. He went into thorough detail about what he'd seen so far, and then pretty much thought out loud as he walked us through the rest of the house. I started taking notes, but he assured me that everything we talked about would be included in his report, and when I received the report that evening, I was really impressed by how detailed it was. Marc was pleasant and patient with our many questions, and we eagerly picked his brain about not only the current state of the house, but future projects that we had in mind ("Do you think we'd be able to convert to central air? Any guess what that would cost?"). His assessments seemed entirely objective, and he was professional from start to finish. A thorough inspection report was available online that evening, as promised. Marc was also flexible about coming back to place the radon testers on another day when the current occupants of the home would be out of town, so that the results would be accurate. We've lived in our home for a few months now and have had a couple contractors in to check out our fireplace, and to get an estimate on our furnace. We've been a little disappointed by things that have been pointed out to us by contractors that Marc had failed to mention to us. Granted, the contractors are experts in their own fields, and Marc can't be expected to know it all, but when the furnace guy is pointing out electrical and insulation issues, we wish we'd noticed those things prior to our purchase, and I wonder if Marc really should have noticed them.

I had been trying to get an inspection done on a home for over three months, but the seller kept putting it off. Even though I had contacted Marc Brotondi and made appointments for an inspection just to have to cancel them, Marc was very patient and understanding. When we finally got to do the inspection, Marc did a wonderful job and was very professional and personable.
