Description of Work: Purchased a wood pellet stove and had it installed. From date of purchase to completion of install all went very well. Quality workmanship and very professional installer. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Avon Stove and Fireplace has a very good selection of stoves in their display room, which we found to be quite helpful. We decided on a Vermont Castings Stardance model, in a Bordeaux color. This is quite attractive and does a great job of heating the enclosed porch where we had it installed. | |Matt Warren, the installer for Avon Stove, showed up on schedule and put in a very long day installing our stove, having to run a long gas supply line in addition to putting the exhaust pipe up through the roof. Matt was friendly and efficient throughout the process, and did an excellent job on all facets of this. He took the time to explain exactly what he was doing, and went over the operational details of the stove and the remote control when he was finished. | |We are very pleased with our purchase and with this particular store, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. |

Description of Work: Put in my Mendota gas fireplace

Description of Work: We contracted with Avon Fireplaces and Stoves to have two gas-powered fireplaces installed to replace two wood-burning stoves, in the main level family room and in the downstairs recreation room. Both jobs required that the original brickwork be removed and replaced by stonework of our choosing. For the downstairs fireplace, extensive “decorative” brickwork had to be removed from the wall and replaced with dry wall. The fireplace itself had to be built out into the room – a new design called a peninsula model, which permits viewing the fire from either side.
