Description of Work: Spoke to Jerry about coming out for a whole building repair job who seemed like a nice guy on Tuesday who said someone would be calling me on Wednesday to make an appointment for Thursday. I never heard from them again. Guess they didn't want the business.

+ -1 moreThey did the job in about an hours time. They cleaned up well after themselves. But I felt that the problem with the tank bolts should have been spotted when they installed the new toilet a month prior.
Description of Work: Reset the seal at the bottom of the basement toilet and replaced the bolts attaching the tank to the bpwl.

+ -1 moreI called three plumbers. One didn't show up. One charged $90 for an estimate and then said we'd have to pay a few hundred more to receive an estimate. JGC was great. Also, they've been around for a long time in Astoria. I expected the repair to end up costing more than a thousand dollars (I had braced myself for a $2,000). They came in and did the work promptly. They had to tear up part the bathroom to access the toilet drain, but they did the job and reinstalled everything very well. They charged about $800, which I was more than happy to pay! They were fast and professional and we are very happy with their services. Of course, like all plumbers, they didn't fix the holes they made. But that is to be expected. JGC did say they could arrange for somebody to come and fix the plaster and the bathroom tile. But have a good person to do that, so we arranged that ourselves (it cost $200).
Description of Work: We had a leak from our 2nd floor bathroom to our 1st floor living room. It started dripping through plaster into the living room. Not good. They came, they made holes, they identified the problem, then they removed the toilet and then a rusted-through drain pipe, they put in a new pipe, and then back they toilet.

+ -1 moreI LIVE IN AN OLDER HOME AND HAVE USED JGC PLUMBING FOR VARIOUS NEEDS FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS. I CONTINUE TO USE THEM BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY OF BOTH THE WORK AND THEIR SERVICE PEOPLE. I FEEL THE PRICES CHARGED FOR THEIR SERVICES ARE FAIR.
