The experience could not have gone much worse. We were given a timeframe of from 12 Noon to 5 pm on a Saturday, and an estimate of $70. Instead, two workers showed up at 10 am, while we were completely unprepared. The workers then proceeded to take the broken sash out of the window frame - but in the process they allowed the window-unit air conditioner to FALL OUT OF THE WINDOW!!!! Luckily, it was plugged in, and also there is an aluminum canopy just below the window, so the air conditioner did not fall very far. But it totally demolished an exterior floodlight - which will be very difficult to replace, because of its location and inaccessibility. Plus, the a/c unit put quite a dent in the aluminum canopy! I called the owner to complain about what had happened, and she flatly refused to take any responsibility for the mishap. I was outraged, and insisted that she at the very least charge us much less than their usual price. She reluctantly agreed in principle, but when the workers re-installed the repaired sash, they handed me a bill which was far in excess of the original estimate. Once again, I verbally sparred with the owner over the phone, and ended up paying a vastly-reduced charge of $80, which was still more than the original estimate. Plus I had to listen to one of the workers try to feed me a line about how it really wasn't their fault, that the a/c hadn't been properly secured in the window. I will NEVER use these people again. Not only are they incompetent and dishonest, but they also have no shame, no remorse, and no sense of fair play. For shame, Forma Glass Corp!

One worker came early just to measure glass sizes needed. About an hour later another worker came with the glass. He went from room to room replacing glass. Any additional glass cutting was done outside, at his truck. All cracked glass was removed by the worker. He had the wrong glass size for the storm windows so he took them back to their store in Astoria and delivered them to me at the end of the day.

Responded promptly with a visit for measurement and estimate; came back two hours later to do the whole job in about 1 hour. Very polite, cleaned up & reasonably priced.
