I met Jeff Gerber (through Angie's List) when I was contemplating buying a home with suspected mold issues (the dreaded musty smell plus a history of water damage). He quickly came out and inspected the home and explained where the mold was lurking and how he would eliminate it. I priced other services but was so impressed with Jeff's detailed customer education process that I decided to move forward even though the cost would be 2-3X higher than the competitor bids. Jeff and his crew came to the house and "unfinished" the remains of a once finished basement and did all the requisite treatments. He later did some additional work on the main floor of the house (pulling up flooring to get at and treat mold lurking below) and he also set up a powerful dehumidifier in the basement. He also took time to speak with my flooring contractor about factors they should consider in installing the new floor and suggested extra steps I should take regarding drainage and gutters. I have been in the house for several months now and contractors often comment on what a dry basement I have. I will be having Jeff back to deal with a smaller issue in my detached garage and have referred him to others. Jeff is a joy to work with, professional and candid, and I highly recommend his work.

Jeff and his crew were top notch professionals , explained the whole process step by step the whole way , not only what needed to be done but more importantly WHY!!! Jeff Gerber (owner) worked side by side with his crew. Jeff is very knowledgeable about mold and ventilation problems . We had mold everywhere in our attic , due to improper roof ventilation , everything was wet . Now its clean and dry you could eat up there after they were done!!!!

Jeff came to my home and did an inspection of my attic. We discussed a plan to remove the mold and stop it from returning. He and his team arrived on time on the date chosen and did a great job. They used dry soda blasting to remove the mold and coated the attic with a mold resistant coating. The work done also carries a 30 year warranty. They were all courteous and professional. I will use this company again.

Jeff arrived on time and very thoroughly investigated the attic and exterior of the house to determine the cause of the mold issue. He appeared very knowledgable and identified a number of issues that could be causing the mold problem. He answered all my questions and provided a detailed estimate by email the very same day.

Jeff Gerber (the Owner) was a professional from start to finish. I was concerned that a mold abatement company would overstate the issue to try to sell the services and up the cost. Jeff was a complete pro that expertly analyzed the mold issue, clearly conveyed the extent of the issue and its root cause, provided guidance on the potential health risks and finally calmly shared his fact-based remediation recommendation on how to resolve the issue PROPERLY. With that I agreed to the quote he provided for the work. While this type of remediation is never cheap, it's worth every penny to call in the experts when you consider the importance of the work. His experienced team of three showed up on the scheduled day and got right to work. For this particular job, NU-Life used a soda blasting technique to completely strip the mold from the attic's wood, primed the cleaned wood with mold resistant primer, installed a custom end-to-end soffit vent and installed a temperature activated attic fan to vent the air out (Jeff's an expert an analyzing the best way to get optimal airflow through the attic). Along the way he answer all of my questions concern what his team was doing and why. His team finished the work in one day and completely cleaned up any debris from the work site. Lastly, NU-Life stands behind their work by providing a 30 year guarantee. I'm now very confident that the health risks to my tenants has been eliminated and the property's value has been restored. While I really HOPE that I'll never need Mold Abatement services again, if I do Jeff Gerber at NU-Life will definitely get the job.

Initially, when I first called them - Jeff came out within a couple of days to see what work was needed and to provide an estimate. He returned my first call on the same day (something most contractors seem to be unable to do). A date was set to do the work a few days after I received the estimate and again spoke with Jeff. On the day work started, Jeff and his crew arrived in a timely manner in a professional looking truck with the appropriate equipment needed to complete the job. His crew were hard workers - priding themselves in professionalism and complete cleanup when the work was finished. Jeff is good about answering emails and telephone calls.

I thought the technician was unprofessional. The estimate he offered to do the work was outrageous. They walked around with a black light and claimed I needed to do all of this work. However, they never took any mold samples.

Discovered large amounts of mold in our attic and contacted NuLife Resources about the problem. Jeff was very friendly and setup a time to come out and look at our attic. Jeff arrived and looked over our attic and explained the problem to me in a way that was easy to understand. He recommended what work should be done to rectify the mold and was able to email an estimate for the job within a couple of days. After reviewing the estimate, we quickly agreed to have the work done and Jeff added us to his schedule, which put us about a month out from the job. A few weeks before the scheduled work day, Jeff called and said he had an opening and was able to move us up. We were very happy to have the work done earlier than expected and discussed with Jeff the details of prepping for the crew's arrival. Jeff and his crew arrived early and went right to work repairing the roof and cleaning out the mold. Jeff explained to me what equipment would be used and kept me updated throughout the day on how the work was progressing.The three man crew worked basically non-stop all day and finished the entire job in the late afternoon. I mentioned being worried about the mold returning and Jeff offered to come back in a few months to make sure the attic was clean, which made me feel better. I am also always impressed when the business owner actually does the job instead of handing the work off the others. Although I hope to never need NuLife Resources to return, I'd be happy to call them again in the future, if needed.

I called to get a price for an inspection of a problem c that was causing issues with potential buyers - I explained the situation to Jeff in detail and he gave me his opinion and said he would contact our attorney, if I liked, and explain to him the reasons why all of it was unnecessary. He did and the attorney found the conversation to be very educational. Jeff could have come to my house and done what I called for and charged me his fee BUT because he is an honest businessman he saved me that expense!

Jeff and his crew arrived at the scheduled time and removed all the rotted paneling and framing that had deteriorated over the years. They patched the walls and removed the floor tiles then smoothed the floor and painted the walls. The entire basement including all the joists and subflooring was sprayed with mold killer a couple times. Jeff left his industrial dehumidifier with us a few days to give the room a good drying and a decent start for our dehumidifier to maintain. The Nu-Life crew were pleasant to deal with every step of the way and they waste no time on the job. They did a ton of work in a very short time, made sure all openings to the upstairs living spaces were blocked with plastic sheeting while they worked and left no debris during or after the job. The basement looks and SMELLS terrific. We couldn't be happier with the result. Highly recommend Nu-Life

We were purchasing the house and the inspection found wet insulation throughout attic. Nu-Life (Jeff Gerber) was hired to remediate. The long winter prevented repair from happening immediately but Jeff kept in touch over several weeks and finally the day came! They (3) were on time, worked diligently and completed the job in 8-9 hours. Amazingly little mess at the end. Jeff Gerber explained to us every step being taken and also went around the outside of the house with us and showed us where improvements were needed for water to drain properly. A very professional job and we would highly recommend Jeff and Nu-Life.

The service was fine. I did not spend anything extra. They were prompt and very nice. They did their job. They looked things over and told me what I needed. I thought they were high.

They were great to work with , the whole team was very professional. Work was exactly as detailed in quote. They cleaned up after that were done. Would highly recommend them.

I called Jeff on a Friday and met him the following Monday. He inspected the basement and put in commercial dehumidifiers and air scrubbers within a couple of days and completed the work in a couple of weeks. I was out of the area when he did most of the work and Jeff sent me pictures and emails to update me. The work was done professionally. Jeff was always courteous and answered every question regardless of time of day or week. If I ever have another problem like this or have any questions, I will always call him to get the work done. They were great. Another excellent Angie's List contractor.

I thought I would write my experiences thus far even know the work has not yet been performed. After calling to set up an appointment to look at my attic, Jeff called me back within a day or so and set up an appointment to come inspect my attic for the mold remediation. Like most attics in older homes, the contractor simply discharged by two bathroom vents either directly into the attic or into the eaves. In either case this generates mold into the attic. Jeff inspected my attic and provided an estimate which I thought would cost a lot more than he estimated for me. Not only did he estimate a price on the spot that I was happy with he indicated that when he got back to his office he would write up an actual quote and send it to me for signature. When receiving his email, he indicated that the price for the job was a bit more than what he estimated while at my home. But true to what I had heard about Jeff, he stuck to the original estimated price even though it was slightly lower. The work has not been done as of yet due to bad whether (work needs to be done to enlarge my ridge vent) but the constant communication between myself and Nu-Life Resources is great. Jeff is committed to doing the work as soon as the whether and safety of accessing my roof permits or he will set me up as the first job for the spring which is fine with me. Additionally, I have mentioned that NU-Life Resources will be doing my home to a couple of friends and they have indicated to me that they used Jeff as well and were extremely pleased. Also and maybe more important, I mentioned to my realtor (I'm selling my home) who's company is recognized as one of the top realty firms in Saratoga County that I was using NU-Life Resources and she mentioned to me that he is the best. I will get back to all when the work is complete. Well, the work is complete. Jeff and his crew immediately came in and setup for the work in the attic and the work on the roof. The first tackled the roof ridge vent to enlarge the opening to allow better air flow through the roof. During all phases of the roof work he took pictures of what was being done. He took the time to stop what he was doing to email me the photos and then explain what was being done. That's awesome. You don't see contractors doing that on an every day basis. The crew then moved to the attic where the mold was remove and the protective coating applied. Again photos of the work provided for my viewing. Most home owners could look into the attic and see the work but due to my disability Jeff knew I could not do this so he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the work so the photo's were provided. The work areas were cleaned up spotlessly and everything restored to normal. The work that Jeff and his crew did was top notch and I would recommend NULIFE RESOURCES for any job you need done at your home. What's great about Jeff is that he is a family man and cares greatly about his work to ensure the safety of your family. After all of the work was completed Jeff actually stayed for about a half hour to just talk to me about my disability and to wish me all of the best as he was genuine and concerned about me as a person and not just as a client. A great company and a good man AND NO, WE ARE NOT RELATED IN ANY WAY.

During a whole-house inspection, mold was suspected. Jeff came out and inspected inside the house and also looked at the perimeter to look for areas where water seepage could be an issue. He verified the presence of mold in the attic and basement. He spent a lot of time explaining about mold, what to look for, where to look, how the remediation process works, products and method used, and how to keep the mold from coming back. This is the second time I've used his services. He is neat, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and prompt. We did not buy the house in question so the remediation was not done but we definitely will hire him again in the future when we find another house.

Did not get any testing results or any detailed advice. It was just based on guess and beliefs and No strong facts were presented. The service was useless and waste of money.

Jeff checked my house for mold and as soon as he was done he provided his findings and recommendations for remediation. On a separate visit he hooked up the dehumidifer that I ordered per his suggesion,tested it and explained how it worked. He was a pleasure to do business with.

On time. Plenty of manpower; efficient, completed on time, job done as promised.

Prompt, detailed estimate, flexible scheduling. Professional and did detailed work that popped up as they went that wasn't required by estimate.

We signed a contract on a house and had a general inspection done. At that time, a "mold-like substance" was found in the basement and attic. We contacted Jeff to inspect the suspicious areas. He did indeed confirm that mold was present, not only in the questionable areas, but also many other areas. He submitted a detailed, thorough itemized estimate outlining all the steps necessary for remediation. Needless to say we retracted our home purchase offer. Thanks Jeff.

They arrived before 8 am with trucks filled with specialized equipment and a crew of experienced employees. We were told ahead of time exactly what they proposed to do in a written estimate and that is what they did. For a quoted hourly rate they were willing to do some extra things which made our rehab easier.. The team was professional and thorough, cleaning up inside and outside before they left. They offered suggestions to us concerning improving other problems with the property. We hadn't realized the extent of their skills and experience ,but it soon became evident. We expect estimates from them soon on future projects. We would recommend Jeff Gerber and his crew if you want a crew with skill and integrity. You will get what you need for the price quoted. We are pleased with our choice.

I contacted Jeff from out of state. He visited the house, communicated his opinions, submitted a timely proposal and quote for work. He accommodated my schedule in terms of timing; giving me notice of start date. During project he sent me photos and called me to regularly update. Saw the finished product and it was great! Very easy to work with! Very helpful. Didn't suggest too much work, but just enough to attack problem. 18 months later, still mold free.

Would not hesitate to hire Jeff and Nu-Life Resources again. He is as honest as they come. We were extremely impressed with the strategic strike they did to get the job done - they had the job completed in only 2 days. Nice job with the clean-up and the attic looks like new.
