They were great. They came in, put the old furnace out, put the new one in and I haven't had a bit of trouble. The service was excellent all the way. I would highly recommend them. I've used them for years to check on the furnace and other stuff in the house. They were a little high.

New furnace, new air conditioner, new humidifier,duct cleaning

I was skeptical about this company from the start, because although their office and phone number are local, calls are actually routed to their call center, which is somewhere else (maybe Syracuse?). This makes it tough to coordinate timing and to reach someone locally. I want ahead anyway, because of the recommendation I had gotten. Basically, they came out and charged $107 for an estimate on our furnace repair job. I had left it with the estimator that we might consider getting a new furnace, but that we would probably go with the $250 repair (which the $107 would be applied toward). During the next couple of weeks, their "new furnace" salesperson left multiple messages. However, when I tried to call the "local" number multiple times to get someone to come out to actually do the work, they did not follow through. Either I left messages in Syracuse (?) that went unanswered; or spoke to someone who said someone else would call back, but that didn't happen. Since it was getting colder, I needed to get the furnace fixed; so I called a different company, and got the job done quickly and easily. Of course, I had to pay that second company a (comparable) diagnostic fee as well, which they were certainly entitled to. But I thought it was unfair that I was now on the hook for a diagnostic fee with Service Experts, which was then not following through on their end of the bargain. Basically, they got the $107 and then disappeared. I disputed this with the CC card company, was rejected, appealed that, and was rejected again. Ultimately, Service Experts seemed competent enough with the mechanical end of things, but their service - interestingly - was pretty weak.

The tech arrived on time, was very courteous, and performed all the work in a professional manner. The tech had a bit of a problem in changing the contactor outside due to some wrong wiring connections he made. This took him some additional time in the hot sun outside, but he didn't complain at all and remained cool and professional. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the service provided.

I liked that they came promptly and did what they said they were going to do. They told me that there would be no weekend charge or overtime charge, but they ended up charging me that and it ended up being a little more expensive than I hope it would be. It was $250 to clean out the fire way and I was talking about like it would be within a $100 range, other than that the service was very good. The only issue was with the confusion with the price because they told me that it was going to be a little less.

I will use them again in the future.

I'm no expert but it seemed the serviceman was very eager to sell me a new furnace after a rather minimal examination of my current one. The current furnace is 15 years old which he said is the average life of a furnace. I have since done some research and found that my model can be expected to last at least 20 years, which I see as more evidence of his desire to sell an unnecessary replacement. Because I wasn't entirely comfortable with our exchange, I asked for a second opinion from Twin Air Heating & Cooling. I am very glad I did because their guy identified two problems (one similar to that of the Sunbeam rep, the other different) and fixed them in 90 minutes for less than 10% of what Sunbeam was going to charge for a new furnace. He strongly disagreed that a new furnace was necessary. The furnace has been working very well since. I am so glad I got a second opinion and I will never call Sunbeam again.

Sunbeam was even 15 minutes early. Did a very professional job. Cleaned up after themselves and were polite and the furnace works great!

Sunbeam Heating explained everything. They told us what we could expect afterwards. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the dusting. I thought I wouldn't have to dust as often. They cleaned up after themselves.

The quality of the work by Sunbeam was sub par. They left a hole in my basement floor and water leaked from the air conditioning unit. Then it quit working after a month. They replaced it with a new unit, but the water still leaked. It is working fine now.
