Obtained his number though a business card hanging on a post it board in local hardware store. Stated during the initial job walk through that he was a perfectionist and actually commented on prior work in the house and that would never happen with him "I'm a Perfectionist." He was extremely helpful during initial walk though explaining all the work he could do for us (painting, hardwood installation, etc.) and tried to add extra jobs as we walked. He called promptly with a quote and we decided to hire him for painting projects and hard wood floor installation. When he showed next he stated that we would need to pay up front in cash to become a priority on his schedule. We paid up front (BIG MISTAKE). He arrived the next day and painted the garage. The end result was less that "perfect" with over spray in a variety of locations. He was scheduled to come back the next day to continue the painting project. We left him a note with specific information (taped to the paint cans) to reiterate our expectations and reminding him of paint colors. We wanted the master bedroom grey and the 2nd bedroom light brown. We came home that afternoon to see that the rooms were painted the opposite colors. The ceilings were complete, but there were roller marks everywhere along cut in lines. The bathroom was complete, but it was not primed so the border could be seen. A phone call was made to discuss and the response was less than professional -- in fact he blamed us for the colors being incorrect. He did return the next day to repaint one (of the two) bedrooms and that was the last time he was seen or heard from. He denied us a final walk through and did not honor he word that he some "touch up" work to complete and that he would be back. In addition, he was hired to install hard word floors. We were left with hard wood and no one to install. We purchased the hardwood, based on his measurements and we ended up with $1000+ in extra, unnecessary wood. Looking back, we question if he was going to finish the job and keep the remaining hardwood (enough for a 12x12 room). In summary, he promised a great product, undelivered, was unprofessional and we got scammed. The reason we are writing this review months later is because we gave him time to respond to a letter from our lawyer asking for a final walk though, He wouldn't reply... and small claims court is a waste of time we are told. DO NOT HIRE HIM !!
