The job went great. It took two days; the first to remove and dispose of old fiberglass batts and debris and the second to do the attic work. This included: air sealing the attic, fire protection for all recessed lighting in ceiling, fire rated barrier around chimney, constructing and insulating a new hatch for access to attic, creating proper ventilation from soffits (which had been an ongoing problem) and blowing in approximately 18 inches of new cellulose insulation. The workers (four men) arrived on time, worked extremely well as a team and where very meticulous in their clean-up. I was very impressed by their professionalism and experience in completing the job.

Paul and Joe took the time to show and explain to us exactly what the job would entail, and we trust that their work was completed in an excellent manner. True professionals, serious about their work. Very responsive, his crew was clean, showed up on time and was very respectful. I was especially impressed with the care they took to mask off the rest of the house each day and return it to original state at night. We had a small issue with closing the hatch and they came back immediately to fix the next day. In fact, Paul insisted on fixing it himself even though I said I could. Loved the fact that they use Docusign for electronic signatures and easy to use electronic payment.

just now True building Performance's crew did an incredible job for us. The project was to insulate our home. These guys showed up with cheerful attitudes and completed such an incredible and efficient job. From start to finish they were friendly and interacted with our family all while working in the project. The kids enjoyed watching them work. They cleaned up after themselves too which was a pleasant surprise . It was also great that we were able to get more done than we had anticipated. Originally we had elected to insulate upstairs only but we are able to completely insulate the entire house, downstairs being from the inside. They have plastic protecting their workspace from top to bottom. Joe, the lead contractor is so knowledgeable and incredibly acomodating. Paul Mendel the company's owner is the same way. A great company to do buissness with. We are just overwhelmed with gratitude and amazement at what a difference we are already noticing in the reduction of street noise from the cellulose insulation. I would Highly recommend True Building performance to anyone looking to seal air gaps and install insulation.

Paul Mendel promptly responded to calls and emails, and he explained every aspect of the project in detail. As we have an older home, he also inspected the entire house for areas where energy efficiency might be compromised. Paul gave us an honest and thorough assessment, but never pressured us to move forward. We received multiple quotes, and True Building Performance offered the fairest price for the proposed work. I had multiple issues with house from huge icicles to energy bills being double what my neighbors had which lead my and my wife to look into insulating our house. I have to say, I'm extremely happy we did. Paul and crew did an awesome job and I can't recommend them enough. True Building Performance is a wonderful company to do business with. I had them perform an energy audit, and was very impressed how knowledgeable Paul Mandel and his team were. I was never pressured into having the upgrades done, and a few weeks later I received a written Energy audit. Paul suggested some upgrades I could do my self, and outlined other things that could be done to save on my utility bills. One suggestions was to have additional insulation installed, since I was having a lot of ice build-up on my roof and I was losing a lot of heat through my roof. This past winter I had a build up of ice on my roof, which leaked into my attic and into my living room and kitchen ceilings. I called Paul and explained what had happened, and he had someone come over and inspect my attic again. I hired True Building Performance to remove the wet insulation, install additional vents, and new insulation, as well as sealing around light fixtures on the ceiling, and installing an additional heat barrier around the chimney, used for my gas fireplace. While all this was going on I also needed to have a new shingles and some plywood replaced on my roof. During the summer we had so much rain, so trying to coordinate between the roofing company and Paul, I was always having to reschedule. What a pleasure it was working with Paul and his team. Paul always returned my calls promptly, the team show up on time, we're very polite, and always covered areas they were working in! I am very pleased with all the upgrades, and look forward to having lower utility bills! Thank you True Building Performance for a job well done!

True Building Performance did a great job. First, the energy audit helped us understand the different areas to pay attention to in order to have the most efficient home. After the audit, we decided to hire them to redo our insulation as it quite poor. They did a great job and even though they did it in early spring, the difference is already noticeable. The crew was friendly and quick. They accomplished the job on the original timeline given to us and were unconcerned if we were home while doing the work or not.
