The Ideal Move

The driver/supervisor arrived on the date and at the time agreed . He supervised two helpers, and the packing went smoothly and quickly. They packed the two apartments in one day, and we drove to our new location, while the truck was weighed and then locked up at the company's warehouse. The same driver arrived with the truck at our house in Virginia two days later on the day and time they promised, and the unpacking, done by the driver/supervisor and two helpers also went quickly and smoothly. We had done our part by deciding in advance where we wanted to furniture placed. When a desk didn't fit in the space we had picked for it, they moved it without complaint. They were careful with our belongings, and nothing was broken. We had read several "horror stories" about movers, and we wondered if they would come up with some extra cost that had not been explained to us beforehand, but they were completely honest and aboveboard about everything. Before the move, the cost quote we got was a price based on the estimated weight of our shipment, and they told us if it weighed less, the cost would go down, but that it would not exceed the estimate. Our shipment weighed less than the estimate, and we ended up paying about $200 less than we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. We were nervous about such a big move and were relieved to have it go off without any problems. I would highly recommend the Ideal Move.
