Pinnacle Behavioral Health

The medical providers at Pinnacle have always been excellent. The administrative staff have been lacking, and the director (Laura) is HORRIBLE. I have had multiple incidents where they made billing errors and then tried to tell me it was my fault. The director went so crazy on the phone one day that one of her staff who heard the incident called me later to apologize and offer to fix the issue that Pinnacle had caused.

She has just been so helpful to me offering advice, suggesting websites, providing copies of articles, etc. I'm so glad she was the one they set me up with when I first called about 2 years ago. I go to another practice for medicine management, which so far is working out ok. Just thankful for this LMHC; would recommend her to anyone.

These sessions were talk therapy sessions. My intial visit to the building was a little odd to me. The environment does not feel like a doctors office to me at all. It's almost like abandoned building or something. The waiting room is extremely tiny which could pose a problem because I experienced a long wait before every appointment. The office I was brought into for my actual talk session was a horrible environment. It was tiny room that was cluttered beyond belief. The doctor could not fully open her door due to stacks of books and paper work right on the ground. This way also on multiple desks, and some of the sitting area as well. For someone who experiences anxiety or clastrophibia this could have been very upsetting. It did not make me feel comfortable and it made her appear unprofessional to me right off the bat before we began anything. I decided to give her a shot anyways based on recommendations and the thought of not being able to know how good she was until I gave her a fair shot. Well, I realized I did not like this therapist at all after about 3 or 4 sessions. I felt as though the session was basically a Qand A session about my life with no advice/input from her. I don't need to go over my own life I need medical advice on how to deal with it. On top of that her questions were repeatitive. She routinely asked the same questions every visit. It was as though she wasn't listening the first time. She made it appear as thoough it was hard for her to find her notes about our last session and that once she did she must not have been able to read them because she could not recall any details of our previous session. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone but especially people who are in severe need of talk therapy. Thankfully my depression is managed almost 100% by medication but for someone who depends on talk therapy to get through the day, this is not going to help you.
