We called to make an appointment; the call-back was in a few days. Paul, the owner, was very accommodating of our schedule to come and give an estimate. The estimate only included the final amount to be paid, but he was thorough in explaining all of the details behind it, and very patient with our questions. In describing what he would do he was precise in distinguishing between facts (e.g., replacement would cost less than repair), his opinions (e.g., his preferred shingle type), and others' opinions (e.g., the most popular color is...). Paul was happy to take our phone call when we had more questions. He easily provided references and prior jobs with house colors like ours and roof styles like what we were considering. This proved vital, as the color we thought we wanted on paper looked quite different in reality, and the color we chose looked so much better than we had thought. We wanted to be done with our leaking roof and "everything else up there", which included small repairs to the siding, some gutter replacements, and, as Paul advised to protect the roof, some downspout rerouting. He was able to do all of this, and could have done the inside drywall repairs as well if we had wanted. He showed himself to be an all-around problem solver, able to work the whole problem, not just the roof tiles, with quality work all around and an innovative downspout design. His crew was courteous and efficient. Paul came to help solve problems as needed and to make sure we were satisfied, and did some of the detailed work on the siding and gutters. He was not just a contractor -- he clearly had done many roofs and other work himself and still knew how. In summary, Paul had excellent attention to detail, a great team committed to quality, and could handle anything our house threw at him.

Perfection Roofing did an outstanding job on my roof. Paulo came and professionally went over the problems he saw on my roof and gave me an estamate. His estimate was almost half of what 2 other roofers (both on Angie's list) quoted me. And he actually did more than the others said they would do. His crew came to my house at the appointed time and did an outstanding job of fixing the roof. When my wife came home she looked in the back yard and asked when are the roofers coming? I had to tell her they had already been there, completed the job and cleaned it up so well that she couldn't even tell they had been there. Paulo is an honest, reliable person and you will do yourself a disservice if you don't allow him to give you an estimate for your job. I'd highly recommend him to anyone.

Tom and Tim came the day after my initial phone call to give a written estimate. They took measurements, explained our options, gave advice and left a written estimate that day (some companies said they would "get back" to us but never did). The estimate of $7500 included removal of one layer of roofing, replacing with materials up to code and installing a new drip edge. It did not include plywood to replace rotten or missing decking or snow slides or metal valleys. Replacement plywood was quoted at $45 per sheet to be added to the total cost, and all money due when the job was completed. The work includes a 6-year transferable warranty for workmanship and a 10 year warranty on materials. From the date of estimate to completion was about seven weeks About three weeks after the estimate, the main roof was removed and replaced in two days. The crew worked for twelve hours each day and did a terrific job cleaning up afterwards. Our only concern with this portion of the job was damage to our new driveway and to a small roof porch due to falling slate. It happens, no big deal. The porch roofs took an additional three weeks. Part of the delay was due to a week of rain but most of it was due to suppliers not having the materials. During that time, the owner Paulo kept in contact via cellphone and text, so we waited patiently. Once the crew and materials were available, the porches were re-roofed in two days and again they did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. So far, the roof is preforming as expected, keeping the weather out and improving our house's curb appeal. I found Perfection roofing to be professional, courteous, and affordable. I would highly recommend their service to other homeowners.

It went really well, that is why I never do business with any other roofers besides him. I also refer him to many family friends and colleagues. I know he will treat them right. The biggest factor for me continuing to refer him to my friends and family is service. If there is an issue, whether early in the morning or late at night, he will drop what he is doing to come take a look and fix it. The need for a new roof was long overdue. We contacted several companies and interviewed many. After weighing all the proposals Perfection Roofing was selected. On the day of the installation the owner of Perfection arrived with his crew around 7:30 am. There was a crew of 4 gentlemen that prepared the area to protect our trees and shrubs and the removal of the old roof began. They were also careful to cover our deck and surrounding lawn from the debris. The crew worked all day until the new roof was installed only taking time out for lunch. The old roof was removed and the clean up was impeccable. The company is very professional and the end result is great. The house looks almost brand new. We would recommend Perfection Roofing all the way!

The firm accommodated our schedule and needs, and was courteous and professional throughout, beginning with the initial assessment and estimate and until the job was done. Paulo was very professional and personable when he came to do his assessment of our roof. Perfection Roofing's price was the most reasonable by far of the estimates we got, and other than rotted plywood that had to be replaced the price was exactly what was quoted, and Paulo told us upfront how much any plywood replacement would cost. His crew worked tirelessly from early morning to dark, cleaning up at the end of each day getting the job done in two days. Other roofers estimated it would be longer, up to a week for one, because of the steepness of the roof and the multiple layers of shingles that had to be removed. We also hired Perfection to put gutters and gutter guards on the house. This is in progress but we have no doubt that we will be happy with their work. We highly recommend Paulo and Perfection Roofing and would use them again if needed.

Paulo was excellent. arrived promptly and was quite professional. his knowledge about materials and pricing are outstanding.

Needed them to inspect the roof for any leaks on a house we were going to purchase. And if there were any leaks, we would hire them to do the repairs. Called them three times before they would set an appt to see the house. They keep saying, that they have been very busy and the owner of the business was out of town. On the day of the appt, we waited for them to show up. After waiting for 1/2 hour, we called and they said that they forgot. Twenty min. later one guy showed up and apologized profusely. He inspected the roof and there weren't any leaks. He asked us if we wanted a letter saying that he inspected the roof and there were no problems. Now, our home buyer agent was with us and said , "Yes, please send it to my e-mail address." She gave him her business card. Waited a few days and she never got a letter from them. So I called and left a mssg for them to send her the letter, gave them her phone number. Waited couple more days and she still did not get the letter or a phone call. The second time I called I told them that I found there business on Angie's List and it gave them a great review and that I would like to hire them in the future if I needed work done on my roof. I would still use there service, because after all I did not pay him to inspect the roof. And there were a lot of rain in June this year and a lot of people found out they had to repair their roofs. Oh the appt was on a Sunday, so we appreciated that.

The owner was very responsive, straightforward and courteous and kept me informed. And the price he charged for the work was very fair.

I thought Paulo was extremely professional, pleasant, and down to Earth. I talked to a number of contracters, many of whom seemed a bit shady. I felt comfortable with Paulo. He was happy to provide references. His price was extremely reasonable. He was fairly punctual. The workmanship appears to be top notch. Although I was not home while his crew was working on my house, my neighbor mentioned to me, a few times, that they were "working their tails off." Although this work is relatively new, (that is, only time will tell if there are problems) from what I can tell, it appears to be very high quality and was a job well done. I do not anticipate there being any problems. I would gladly recommend Paulo and Perfection Roofing to any friends and family (in fact, I have already done so).

Big job or small job, if you want it done right, if you want a fair price with honesty and a belief in customer satisfaction, call Perfection Roofing. Our roof was on a ranch style home in Albany which not only needed a new roof, but it also needed gutters. Paulo himself went to the house and made up the estimate within a few days of my call. I pointed out to him that there might problems with the wood on the roof because of leaking. Without pulling up the shingles he could not tell what damage might greet the crew. But he stated the cost per piece of plywood installed. You can?t ask for more when an unknown problem could enter the job. With regard to the gutters, I was able to explain to the crew the drainage problem at the house. The on-site crew worked out a downspout arrangement that more than filled the needs of our house and satisfied a neighbor?s concerns. In every case either Paulo or his polite crew offered explanations in detail. Not only did the crew take care of the roof and the gutters, they replaced some aluminum siding pieces. They had to have a piece made up and they reinstalled the other along with the new piece. Unknown and known problems?Paulo and his crew more than met expectations on all issues. The result is a beautiful roof and good looking gutters. Need that roofing job done? Nothing seems to be too big or too small for Perfection Roofing. I strongly recommend you call Paulo and get on his schedule because this young man and his crew will call you back, address your concerns and will do the job right.

I left a voicemail about possible gutter replacement but to most importantly get the leaf guard type gutters/covers. Paul I think his name was called me back, I gave him my address, & we also discussed what I wanted. He said he would call me back within an hour & a half with an estimate & also if we needed to replace all the gutters or if we could also use some existing with the leaf guards. This was last Friday & I still haven't heard back. Thankfully another service was also very responsive, he left the quote at my house for me as he said he would, I called back & we reviewed the estimate & as a result I've already booked with them. update 6/30 - Thank you for your response. While I understand, I am also busy & don't have the time or the desire to chase down contractors I'm looking to hire. In the end you're a business, it is your responsibility to be organized. If an occasion arises I'd consider trying you again.

Perfection Roofing lives up to their name. Paulo came out himself to do the initial walk through and estimate. He went up on the roof and even took pictures to show me exactly what needed to be done and explained why. I appreciated the time he took and the thoroughness with which he addressed all my questions and concerns. It was clear that he knew what he was doing and he was very professional, especially compared with another company I had come out for an estimate. He understood how important it was to match the shingles already on the house and, although they'd aged 10 years, compared all 4 different shingle brands available to find the closest match. He ensured all of my requests and concerns were addressed from beginning to end of the project and even had his guys blow out my gutters while they were up there. When the workers came out Paulo was the one who talked to me and them over the phone that day providing a consistent message and ensuring everything that he and I had talked about was followed through with. He checked in on how the work was going and kept me updated very well. I could not be happier with the end result. The re-shingled area looks great and the gutter pieces they replaced look so much better than what was there previously and match the remaining pieces perfectly. They do their job very well and were very easy to work with from beginning to end. I highly recommend Perfection Roofing and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Perfection Roofing was outstanding. An employee of mine recommended them after having hired them and having a great experience. Paulo Martins (owner) is what homeowners desire and deserve in a contractor, yet they seem few and far between these days. He returned my call same day, and was able to provide a quote the next day. He was the lowest of the 3 I obtained, and asked that I call him back if he wasn't because he felt he was giving a great price. When I agreed to his proposal, he was quick to get me on the schedule and the crew did an outstanding job- which was not an easy one. I will hire him again for other homes that I own.

Paulo returned my call the same day I called. He came the next day to do the estimate. He gave us good information about our roof, recommended materials and explained how he'd approach the job. He was able to do the job within three weeks of the estimate. His crew showed up when promised and worked very hard until the job was done. They were an excellent group of workers. We have extensive gardens, and Paulo and his crew were very diligent to make sure no roofing materials damaged our plants. They did an excellent job cleaning up after they completed the work. The roof looks great. It was a pleasure working with Paulo and Perfection Roofing from start to finish. The other two contractors we called based on their Angie's list reviews never returned our calls.

Work went very well - on schedule and very professional. Original estimate was low because of error in phone calculator but we were able to reach a equitable price.

Perfection Roofing, namely Paulo Martins, was an excellent firm to deal with. Mr. Martins was continually on site to view his employee's work and also pitched in when needed. We were so impressed with this firm's work that we also hired them to do additional work on our building. We even plan on having this firm complete more work on our building in the future. The owner and crew were always professional and efficient. We received a number of estimates to repair this roof in the past and we were very impressed with Mr. Martin's price and work. I cannot say enough about this firm and the work that they did on our building. I would not hestiate to refer this firm to anyone looking for a reasonable price and excellent service. Perfection was the first roofer I called off the BBB list I called a total of four. Paulo was by far the most friendly and willing to answer all mine and my wifes questions and concerns. We walked the roofs and I showed him the issues and he explain clearly how he would fix them. He emailed me the night before the project was to begin with a time and they were there promptly at 745am and commenced work directly. His crew was polite professional and knew exactly what they were doing there was no standing around waiting for direction. If one needed something and the others were busy he would simply climb off the roof and get what he needed. While they were doing the roof they took the time to wash the skylight which made the wife happy fixed a couple of trouble spots that they found after they got the old roof off. This included a gutter and a few small pieces of siding all at no charge to me. There clean up was excellent I only found one nail so far and Ive walked the proerty a couple of times. Overall a very professional company they should be your first and last call, I cant say enough about them. Thanks for a job well done

I made contact with Paulo Martins via telephone on the first try after reading numerous positive revues on this site. He was very polite on the phone but unable to take down any information from me since he was driving at the time he answered the call. We discussed the project I had (residential roof) which I needed to get quoted, sooner rather than later since at the moment all singles had been removed from our house and we were (still are) fighting the threat of snow any day-week now... The job involved about 16 square (not a small job) and was immediately ready to be shingled or have metal on it since all prep-work has already been completed except for a few minor items. He said he was interested and had men available. After discussing the project briefly, Paulo asked that I call him back and leave my address and phone number so he could retrieve it after he stopped driving and then put my address into his GPS. He said that he could come meet me in the morning at 10:00 AM to look at the job and give me a quote before he left. Since he has many good Angies list reviews I did not schedule other quotes that day. I drove an hour (each way) that morning to meet him at the site. He never showed up for the meeting, never called to say he was "running late" nor that he couldn't make it at all... He simply didn't show up and didn't call, ever. Since "not doing what you promise" from the onset automatically gets you into the "lose" pile, I didn't even bother to call and find out what excuse he might have had nor was I interested in reminding him that I wanted to be a customer... Not calling a customer for something like "I'm not going to show up" is simply unacceptable under any circumstances in business, especially when you know someone is driving to come and meet you... I feel it shows a basic lack of respect for the customer and certainly says something about any "assurances" the he might put into his work verbally with the customer. 10 days later a nice and polite young lady from Paulo's office called me and said, I understand you are looking for a roofer... Paulo and crew may very well do good work. I am commenting ONLY on my experience with "doing as he promised." In that category I give Perfection Roofing a failing grade.... First step in business is "show up". If you can't make a phone call to "keep the job possibility alive" then what kind of service should I as a customer expect when an issue arises? That's not a chance I'm willing to take...

Paulo and his staff were professional, responsive, hard working, kind and cleaned up after themselves. This ended up being a very stressful ordeal for us due to the damage done by the leaking roofs and the financial concerns. There were a couple of bumps in the road, that were unexpected, nothing Paulo or his staff did, but more work was needed than anticipated and Paulo made it very clear that our business was important to him and that he would fix the problem and he put us at ease during this very stressful situation. In the middle of this ordeal we had a septic issue that required immediate attention and $$$ and I was a mess. I appreciate how Paulo dealt with us (me in partucular as I was a mess). We felt like we were priority to him and I know he was busy with many other jobs, but he was able to make us feel like were were in good hands and he made us feel like we their priority. When we called Paulo for an estimate he came out the very next day to give us the estimate. It was fair and reasonable in comparison to other estimates and he recommended what we have later learned to be the best product for the flat roof that we have. He did not cut corners and explained everything that needed to be done to do the job right. Once we chose him for the job he was honest that he was booked a month out, but would fit us in within a week or two and he did. His staff worked in the dark on a couple of the days to complete the job in a timely manner. They did not cut corners with their work. I appreciate the work they did, the quality of the work and the fact that they made us feel as much at ease as they could given the stressful situation we were in. I would recommend Perfection Roofing to anyone.

Bad weather forced a week's postponement of the start date. ON the day Paolo and his crew arrived, rain was threatening for the next day: I didn't see how they'd get it done but they did...even with a delay of 45 minutes to figure out how to hoist the shingles onto the roof of our 2.5 story old colonial brick house. His crew of roofers worked like gangbusters, cleaning off the old two and three-layer shingles, replacing flashing around vent pipes, and even repaired an incorrectly done job from a previous handyman that I'd never noticed was done wrong. They worked late to get it done, and the cleanup was fantastic. The previous roof job I'd had done left debris all over the roof and yard. Paolo's crew had one man who spent the entire day just cleaning up. I only found one little piece of old shingle and a piece of cardboard packaging that had been overlooked after they left. They also replaced 2 1/2 plywood sheets that were rotted out, and used lifetime shingles for the job. I had had another roofer bid on the job but Paolo's bid was considerably less. He had forgotten to include the cost of removing a double-thick layer of old shingles (and a bit of triple-layer was there too) in the estimate, though we'd talked about it, so the final job was about $500 more, but he gave us a break on the extra work and that includes the plywood sheets that had to be replaced too, so all in all, we were very happy with the job and the professionalism of his crew, and will use them again to do the big barn and little barn on our property.
