Perfection Roofing

Paulo called very quickly and arrived after my work hours to inspect and give me an estimate. I hired him in less than a week and the crew was there shortly thereafter. Most of the work was completed the first day with about a week of off and on final finishing work, somewhat delayed due to rain. Crew was very respectful and cleaned everything up, removing all debris. Paulo communicated via text message, final inspection by Tom. Roof looks great and I highly recommend this company.

Paulo and his crew were excellent from the first contact until the job was completed. The estimate was provided quickly (within one day of calling) and was reasonable. Paulo did a great job explaining the process and the products available. Roof was completed in two full days (workers were here from 7:30 AM until 8 PM) and the clean up was immaculate. They even replaced the roof on our shed! We also arranged for them to install gutter helmets, which they did a couple of weeks after the roof. The entire staff were hardworking and pleasant to interact with. We are pleased with both the jobs they completed and with the excellent communication. We would highly recommend Perfection Roofing - honesty, integrity and great work ethic!

When we requested an estimate from Perfection Roofing, it was provided to us quickly and thoroughly. The owner, Paulo Martins, came out and showed us samples of two different types of shingles. He provided us with an honest, complete estimate. He also told us that from the time we notified him that we were going with his company for our new roof, it would be two weeks. I am not kidding, it was two weeks to the day! He also told us, it would take two days to complete our roof, and it took exactly two days! At the completion of the job, Paulo did come and inspected his worker's job and picked up all debris and nails that may have been left behind. Our expectations were certainly met. Our roof is beautiful. But more importantly, when we were going through the estimate process it was Perfection Roofing that won out because of Paulo's professionalism, work ethic and the product. I cannot say we would use Perfection Roofing again for a roof, as I am certain we will not need a roof in our lifetime at this house, but I highly recommend Perfection Roofing. When Paulo comes and gives you an estimate, what you see is what you get with Paulo, and it is all good!

After contacting Perfection Roofing, I received a call back within 2 business days. The estimator came over about 3 days later and gave me a quote. I decided on them on a Tuesday and they scheduled me for the following Monday! The materials arrived a day early, The roofing crew arrived around 8:00. I stopped by at noon and they were busy at work and everything looked fine. When I got back at 5:00, the roof was on, the lawn was clean. Outside of a cardboard box and a couple of small pieces of shingle, I would have never noticed anyone was their. The roof looks great.

Very professional staff. They arrived on time & worked all day to finish the job. If you're looking for a roofer you can't go wrong here.

Paul is very knowledgable, professional and easy to work with.. Work was well done . Paul promptly addressed some minor issues and brought areas of concern to my attention. Helped with doing some extra finishing touches.

Paulo Martins, owner, is very professional and easy to talk with when discussing the contract. The workers are excellent, professional and very knowledgeable. They treated my father's property with care during and after the completion of the job. When the company packed up on the last day, you could not tell any workmen had been there at all. Be prepared to expect long working days. The men work 12-15 hours days and they completed the job in two days.

Contractor came to our house promptly to give estimate to replace roof vents that were leaking. We had just purchased the house in November, 2013. His price was very reasonable. Vents were replaced and no more leaks. One vent was installed crooked. As he did the work to replace the vents, he said our entire roof needs replacing within the next year or two as it was in bad shape throughout. Estimate $9,500. We had two other roofing contractors from Angie's list tell us the same thing. Thankfully a neighbor recommended another roofer to us and he told us that the roof on the front of our the front of our house was like new (we later found out that the when the addition in the front of the house was built in 2010, a new roof was installed on the front of the house). We had this contractor do the work for 1/2 the price and the shingles look just like those in the front of the house. We were disappointed that contractors would be so dishonest as to try to get us to replace an entire roof when only 1/2 the roof was bad.

The crew replaced the roof on the rear of my house due to a persistent leak. They removed the old shingles onto a large tarp without getting debris anywhere else. They removed and replaced flower baskets yard furniture, etc. After finishing the shingles they even replaced the heat cables I had left hanging from the gutter! I couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism and work ethic. They picked up every remnant of my old roof. The price was more than fair and I would recommend them to anyone.

every thing done within 1 and 1/2 day. would of been quicker but old shingles where on house since 70's. they where always on time, from estimate to end of work.

Very well. Owner came to measure and provided written estimate, and shingle sample book before he left Answered all our questions and concerns. After we accepted bid, gave us an estimated date of install. Crew worked hard, stayed even after sunset to complete on schedule. Did a great job cleaning up, used device with magnet to get all the nails. Separate crew did gutters after roof was done - also did great job, and finished the work promptly. Got complements from several of our neighbors. for

I did not have Perfection Roofing do the job, although I would have been fine having any of the roofers who came out do the job for me.

Paolo, the owner, was punctual, professional, and not pushy. He did exactly what he said and also followed up. When he was finished, the cleanup was so good, you couldn't believe a roof had just been replaced.

It went great! They were quick and did it in a couple of days. There were just no problems. I wasn't able to be at the house but they sent pictures to keep me updated on the work.

Paulo came exactly at the time promised for estimate, job started on day promised. The crew started at the light of day and stayed until dark. returned the 2nd day and completed job in morning, they cleaned up the yard and the bill was exactly as quoted. I wish there were more contractors for other areas have this work ethic! I highly recommend this company

One layer of shingles removed and reshingled/roof fan installed/hardworking/no goofing off/quality work/ honest, not trying to rip you off/refreshing to hire a contractor who isn't trying to make a killing on just one job/straight forward no fast phony sales pitch. Would definitely hire again.

Paul and his crew did a very good job with our rather extensive roof job. I was going to wait until the spring rains to write the review, but we recently had a lot of snow and a sudden melt. Not one drop of water got into our house. So credit where credit is due, nice job Perfection Roofing. By reading the job description it is clear that we asked Paul to do an extensive and difficult job. All components were completed to our satisfaction and others exceeded our expectations. He took the time to correctly run the ice and water shield UNDER the siding to make it water tight. The two inch drip edge was much better than the one inch that was there. The crew worked very hard and put in long days to get the job done as fast as possible. Clean up was very good. Paul works hard and is very busy with his various jobs. Once the job was underway, Paul was available at the drop of a hat for any questions or concerns I had and was on site for much of the job. On any big job like this it is always good for the homeowner to be available to make sure that what you want is accurately conveyed to Paul and his crew. He gave us a 5% discount which really added up to help reduce the bill. We felt Paul did a great job, was very professional, showed up every time as scheduled, used good materials and is someone that we would definitely use again. I have already spoken highly of him to my friends. In fact we have some gutter work that we are most likely going to ask him to address in the spring. Nice work!

I had to make two calls to Paulo, but he was responsive and came to quote the job within a couple of days. Another local company took a day or two longer, and by the time they'd responded, I'd already selected Paulo. His business is located within a block or two of my home, and the fact that his family and business are located in an area where he also does business afforded me a bit more confidence in selecting him. Also, you can walk around the neighborhood and look at the homes that he's put new roofs on. He'll tell you where they are. He's very friendly and earnest, and immediately puts you at east about the process and what may or may not be needed. He gives you samples of shingles to look over and advises you to drive around your neighborhood to see how the shingles look on other homes' roofs. Although Paulo did not do the work himself, he sent two amazing young men to do the job. They worked incredibly hard from dawn til dusk, were quiet, professional and very thorough. They didn't stop!, Even when the daylight had vanished, they continued to clean up around the property to ensure every last bit of debris from the old roof had been removed. They put in more than a honest days work...within the space of one day, I had a new roof, and it looks great. The gutters were installed a couple of days later, and again, the work was done quickly, and well. I would certainly recommend Paulo and Perfection Roofing without hesitation. I received a 5% discount on the overall cost of the project, simply for being an Angie's List member, too.

I was very pleased with the way this project was performed. Paulo came and gave me an estimate and we scheduled a time for them to do the work. They were at my house doing the work when they said. The workers were prompt, courteous and cleaned up after completing the job. This is a very professional company. They are very fair and instill a great deal of confidence in their work.

We could not be more impressed. From our inital estimates and coversations Paulo was fair, honest and delivered more than promised. His team was punctual and extremly hard working. The attention to detail from start to finish was A+. When looking for a roofing company in the Capital District, look no futher as this is the company you want to use.

I called based on their stellar ratings on angie's list and spoke with the owner, who sounded like a nice guy. He said he was swamped and asked me to fill in a service request online so he could respond to it later that day. I did that. I did not heard back from them for several days later...I called again and learned that the owner was out of the country and that led to some confusion, but then they sent one of their guys over who quickly assessed the situation, gave me what I thought was a good quote and an honest statement that it looked like the chimney flashing needed work but he wasn't 100% sure if that would solve the problem. I gave him a go-ahead and he booked me for a week later. He was late showing up -- I called and was told he'd be few extra hours late, but he did show up and did a really excellent job on the flashing. He completely fixed the leak and I a thrilled that it don't cost very much. Overall, a little bumpy getting service, but if you can roll with a few delays, they are well worth hiring.

Okay, First of all I got the recommendation from my brother who found Perfection Roofing on Angie's List. I had already had two estimates from other reputable roofing companies prior to Paulo (the owner) coming to my house to give me an estimate. Unlike the other roofers, Paulo sat in his truck for a few minutes after estimating the size of my roof and handed me the estimate (the others mailed it). He said I didn't have to pay any money up front, it was due at the end of the job. We discussed skylights, I wondered if he'd be able to get them same-day if we didn't order ahead of time, he said it wouldn't be a problem, and it wasn't. I was so happy and relieved when I saw the estimate, it was A LOT less than the other two estimates, and I didn't have to pay until the end??? Was this guy for real? My brother said "yes". I had to choose my shingle and return the signed estimate to get on the books, he said it would be about a week or so after I sent it back. About two weeks later they arrived on time and got right to work removing the old shingles. They spread tarps on my bushes and on my deck. One of my skylights HAD to be replaced, I replaced both since they were about 27 years old. A couple of sheets of plywood also had to be purchased, at Paulo's cost (five dollars less than the other guys). I did not watch the process, except for the small bit I could see through my window. It seemed to happen quickly enough. I'd say about 70% was done on the first day (we had nice weather for the install which was great). The next day more work went on finishing the last of the shingles, etc... and clean up. BUT They ran out of shingles!!! Paulo had underestimated the squares on my roof, so he had to get another package or two and he and a couple of workers came the 3rd day to nail on the last few shingles. Paulo then tallied the bill, added on the plywood, skylights and skylight flashing kits and it was only a little higher than the estimate... (no charge for extra shingles) AND THEN he gave me the Angie's list discount! It ended up being almost exactly what his estimate had been. I love my roof (never thought I'd say that). It was well priced and I had a good, honest, quality man and company doing the work. This is the guy that deserves your business. We're calling him our "Family Roofer" because he's going to be the guy that does my sister's roof when the time comes. And what better purchase than a new roof to have all these great feelings about? No regrets at all. I got the best roof with the best company! Now, after all that gushing, I have to say that cleanup could have been a little better. We did collect a jar of nails, tacks and other roof things, so I recommend you rake the leaves ahead of time so it's easier to clean up after. BUT that is such a minor thing, hardly worth mentioning given how happy I am. So, do not HESITATE to call this guy for an estimate... and then feel really good when you send it back because you're going to be happy.

Paulo Martin's Perfection Roofing did a great job. He was always easy to contact and answered all my questions regarding the work to be done. Because I could not be there to observe the work, he even took pictures as the job was completed so that I could see the work in progress. I was very pleased with the outcome.
