Perfection Roofing

My 82 year old father needed his house and garage roof shingles replaced.I researched Angies list and picked the top two roofers in my area to give quotes. One of the contractors,the larger of the two, sent a rep to look at job.His guy walked around my fathers house and garage and quoted from what he saw from ground level.Perfection Roofing,Paul,sent Rep,I believe his name was David,to my fathers house.Perfections rep climbed on my fathers roof to get a proper look at what needed to be done.That difference in approach says alot.Having been a Customer Service Rep myself for 30 years I have high expectations for any business and Perfection Roofing made us a very happy customer.There work was excellent,including the clean up. And along with all of this his price was much better than the other.It's hard to find reliable contractors these days.Fortunately people like Paul are still around.

We had leak in our roof from the chimney vent pipe during a nasty wind/rain storm. We called and left a message Perfection roofing. After a week we figured that they were not going to call back. Note we also called J and S roofing 2x and they never called us back to this day. On about the 7th day the owner of Perfection Roofing called us and apologized profusely as he was extremely busy due to the recent storm. He and his assistant came that day and went on top of the roof and inspected and sealed the gap in the vent pipe, as well as the bathroom vent pipe and checked over the skylight. He actually did not charge us for this and again apologized for the delay. i had to force $20.00 on him just as a tip. This kind of honesty and professionalism is exceedingly rare. I will definitely consider Perfection for any of my roofing/gutter needs in the future.

He came immediately the next day and looked at the job. They completed the job in one day. They did a very good job. I plan to use him for additional side jobs. I would highly recommend them without any question. He is very personable.

My overall experience with them was excellent. He gave me an estimate that was pretty reasonable.

Shingle delivery was right on time, Paulo and his crew showed up to meet the delivery of materials. Set up was easy, Perfection worked with me through all aspects of the job. Only concern for the entire process was the threat/possibility of rain. When it did in fact rain, the roof was almost complete ~85%, the Perfection team made sure to protect what was left exposed and awaited the rain to pass. Finished up the remaining 15% and did a really nice job with attention to the clean up process. With the cleanup, the top rail of my fence was damaged. When Paul arrived on site to inspect the final product, I met with him about the damaged fence. He was more than willing to make it right; regardless of outcome of an Angie's List write up. Perfection was more than I expected. I am not a cheerleader for good contractors/roofers whom show up on time, remain in estimated budget (in this case came in below budget), perform as they should and act professionally, etc. That is what they should do. Well, Perfection Roofing met that minimum expectation and exceeded it. The fence was fixed as though nothing ever happened, the house looks great. I am glad to have had them perform the work rather than some ego's with a commercial account at the local building supply. I would and will recommend them to anyone needing repair/replacement of a roof in the future. Nothing can describe the feeling knowing you didn't get scammed and got a good end product to boot. They were very professional and punctual. The final price included covering the roof with plywood as the wood underneath the shingles was in very poor condition. The house was built in 1920. That was unseen as the issue wasn't uncovered until the shingles were removed. One of the roofers legs actually broke thru the roof(no injury). I had new shingles put on approx. 25 years prior to this one. That company(that owner now deceased) just covered the old shingles as is the practice in many cases. The whole process only took 2 days and a hour or so on the third for a final clean up. All in all my wife and I were completely satisfied with the new roof and Perfection Roofing.

They came at 8am and were finished by 6pm. The job was done at a highly professional Level and the the owner (Paulo) checked in periodically to be sure of our satisfaction. We are pleased and will employ them again in the future.

I was very impressed with Paolo when I first met him to give me an estimate on my roof. He was 3 hours late. I have had other roofers who never came or showed up a week later so I guess I was patient with him being late. He took pictures with his phone to show me the condition of my roof saying it needed to be replaced. He explained how it was important to have the employees to be insured since you can be liable for their injuries and he would have the paperwork the day of the job. I wasn't happy they didn't have the paperwork the day of the job. I called Paolo and he said he would email them. Of course they had a problem emailing me the paperwork. By then, the job was completed. Other roofers I've met with never mentioned insurance. Paolo explained there is a 6 year workmanship warranty and a 15 year material warranty. He said the roof would easily last 20 years if it was coated every two years after it was 10 years old. He said they can look at your roof every year free of charge. He gave me a written estimate and the 5% discount for being an Angie's List member. He mentioned they used a good quality rubber base and a roofer with a cheaper estimate would use a poorer quality rubber base. He was a little hard to get a hold of after one week when I wanted to fax my estimate to him. The workers were ok. They showed up promptly at 8:00 am and completed the job when I got home at 4:30 pm. My wife asked the one worker who was smoking to not leave butts in our yard. He laughed. I couldn't tell how good the quality their work was since it was on my roof. I did see some tar on my rain gutters. They said they can remove it after a few days since it needs to dry.

Overall Paulo and his team had great communication with me and gave me a great price for what i wanted done. They did not cut corners and completed the project on time.

I am very pleased to have hired Perfection Roofing and would recommend them to any homeowner.My roof, 20+ years old, was looking kind of worn and had algae growing from between the slats. I felt it was time to replace it. I found four local roofers through the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and confirmed that two were also on Angie's List. (I admit I didn't rely as much on Angie's list because BBB has been around much longer.)All four roofers promptly responded to my request for an estimate. Three were in the same price range. I eliminated from consideration the one who was $1500 more than the other three.I hired Perfection because Paul, the owner, gave me a very thorough explantion of what was involved, what he would do, the materials he would use (a well-known brand name), the warranties, etc. He even gave me good advice on color. He was excellent in giving me the information I needed. I was very impressed. Now I consider myself a reasonably informed homeowner but d***, I don't know anything about roofs and roofing! If a contractor doesn't tell me what he's going to be doing, I can't ask questions if I don't know the process. He might as well be talking quantum physics.So I hired Perfection based on the very complete and informative explanation of what I would contracting for. Perfection thereafter continued to prove itself a good choice.The work was scheduled within a week of my hiring them. (I didn't even need it done so fast!) It was completed in one day. The men cleaned up my yard beautifully afterwards. None of my plants were injured (although I was assured that they would replace any damaged plants if that happened.) They even replaced my burnt-out floodlight.And the roof looks fantastic! I have a 6-year warranty on the workmanship and a 30-year warranty on the roofing material that transfers to the next owner if I should sell the house. I couldn't be more pleased. Of course, the work was just done this July 2012. I don't know how the roof will stand up to rain or snow or ice, (all covered by the warranty) and I will update my review if I have any problems Frankly, I doubt I will have any problems with Paul or Perfection Roofing. Excellent choice, in my opinion!

I had a very good experience with them. There was a slight problem and they were very good about staying on the project until we were satisfied.

Might be the greatest roofer in Albany, but follow through and call backs are an essential part of a good contractor. Update: Finally received call from owner and he apologized and went over that day to look at the job and was very helpful.

The job went very well, completed in 3 days. The 3 man team worked well together, did an outstanding job and met with our satisfaction. They cleaned up after they were done without a hitch. Paulo runs the company well and works with his roofing team to make sure it is done correctly. After the job was done he was also reachable to go over the finished job and made sure all last minute items were attended to. We were VERY satisfied by Mr Martins and his workers and their job performance. We highly recommend they do your roof. We obtained many bids on the job and no one came close to the bid nor did they offer the solutions to our roofing problems as did Paulo. We would recommend Perfection Roofing without hesitation or reservation.

I had a great experience with Perfection Roofing. They removed and replaced asphalt shingles on a large portion of my roof and it looks great!. Paulo, the owner, was very honest about what needed to be replaced and what didn't. He also responded in a timely manner to any questions I sent to him via voice or email both after providing the estimate and after the work was complete. I do plan to use Perfection Roofing again to replace windows and gutters.

Perfection Roofing was called and they set up a walk around and estimate for two days later. One of three estimates. Came with binders containing all different shingle types and grades. Took lots of time explaining the options and colors available. After one week my mother had decided on the type of shingle and called them. Came next day with contract that was fully explained and a deposit was given. Started work one week later and completed the entire job in nine hours!

It went very well. We were very pleased with Paul's work and will call again if we need to.

They were wonderful. I would give them an excellent rating. The price was very good and the quality was excellent. I would use them again.

Paulo kept me well informed on the schedule during the slight delay at the beginning of the job. There were several workers on the job and they all worked professionally. The job was completed in short order and was well done, including the clean up of the property. Overall the performance of the job was first class.

I had 5 quotes and selected this company based on price and completion date. Due to rain the project was held up for a couple weeks but as soon as the sun arrived we had the crew here to complete the project. They arrived and completed the job in 3 days with a crew of 3 men. All were polite and courteous. As I mentioned the only negative I have is the final clean up sh9ould have included the 2 dozen nails we found. Since we cut grass witha tractor, it is imperative that the lawn is clear.

Right now, I am happy with what they have done and the way they have responded. They approached the quote from a professional viewpoint, they followed the timeline that they initially proposed and they have been responsive to questions. I had been out of town for three weeks, and I had a voicemail last Saturday from them.

They were an excellent company. They did quality work and were a pleasure to deal with. The owner of the company was actually on the site doing the job. I would rate them highly.

Called to request an estimate on Tuesday 8/23, left message recieved no call back, called again on Thursday 8/25 was told someone would be in my neighborhood the next day and would call me in morning to tell me what time they would be around to look and give me an estimate. No one ever called or showed, I attempted to call back at 2pm on Friday 8/26 but got machine at which point I realized if these guys are this difficult just to set up an estimate I DO NOT want to deal with them to do actual job. Their loss!

Paolo began the job in December, but due to inclement weather could not complete it until April. However, he kept in touch with us so that we knew he hadn't forgotten about us. The roof was completed first and included removal and disposal of old asbestos shingles which was completed promptly and efficiently. The fascia, gutters and leaders were replaced once the weather allowed. I inspected the job recently and was extremely pleased with the results. I would recommend Paolo and Perfection Roofing without hesitation.

Paul and his guys did a great job on my roof. Paul is a very friendly, knowledgeable and professional person to deal with.
