Description of Work: I had my roof replaced on my house and garage. . It was a very large job and took 2 days. From my first contact Joe was very polite and punctual. He provided an estimate promptly and willingly answered all my questions. He required no money up front unlike many other roofers. He came when promised and his crew was excellent- hard working and courteous. The roof came out amazing - I have received tons of compliments. Price was very fair for the amount of work. Joe was also very helpful in putting me in touch with other contractors who could assist me in restoring our historic house. I could not be more pleased with Joe and NML- I highly recommend this company!

Description of Work: Sent message to Provider regarding a roof repair. No response received, no work done. I am going to a non-Angie roofer.

Description of Work: Received a preliminary bid on a small asbestos shingle roof in the fall and while awaiting a final estimate on the job (that I told Joe could wait until the following Spring), He assured me he could and would do the job but I needed to get an engineer to certify that the roof would handle a layer of plywood. In December I located and paid a Professional Engineering Firm to make that assessment and sent confirming letters to the contractor and the City. In Spring when I was ready I texted and called Joe on numerous occasions and he didn't return any of them. When I finally got him he said he decided not to do the job. I gave him a D rather than an F because he did 2 small jobs that Fall while we awaited word on the permit. The 2 guys who did the small job did decent work installing 2 small windows and repairing a roof leak.

Description of Work: Joe Lombardo was in touch throughout the estimate process and offered to answer any questions I had. Due to another customer reschedule, my roof was done today, ahead of schedule. I am so pleased with not only the results, but the punctuality, professionalism and speed of Joe and his entire crew. They all were so efficient and such hard workers. Everything went so smoothly and the yard is again pristine after they cleaned up. I highly recommend NML and hope to use them again for windows and bath remodel.

Description of Work: Joe worked with my schedule. His workers were many and very hard working. They had to replace several sections of water damaged roof wood and finished in one day, working 'til dark. He also did some inside work as I had two skylites removed and closed. I will have him return to do more inside . His workers were polite and careful of my plants,too.

Description of Work: Contractor evacuated our home for 2 hours. Said he would get back to us in a couple days.. Still waiting. Terrible service. Worst I have experienced. Very very disappointed in this contractor after reading some previous reviews. Angie's list needs to step up their game and evaluate these contractors. Very poor service. I have cancelled my subscription with this company. Looking forward to my 10.00 bucks back . So much for on line service. Word of mouth is so much better.

Description of Work: We contracted with NML/Joe Lombardo in July-August 2010 for exterior work on our 100-yr-old 2-family house in an urban residential neighborhood in Albany NY. He did a very professional walkaround to assess the scope of work and gave us a reasonable estimate -- not the absolute lowest, but I was impressed with the way he approached the challenges. Since the house contains a rental apartment, the city was requiring us (under tight deadline due to a pending occupancy permit) to eliminate or cover all of the old exterior paint, which was flaking off, especially on the many window frames and exposed wood trim. After much research and differing recommendations from several contractors, we decided to have NML seal up, with aluminum sheathing, the painted frames of all 40+ windows in the house, as well as the painted soffits below the roofline and other wood trim. The extensive metalwork required a skilled specialist working under Joe's supervision. In addition, the front of the 2nd floor porch had to be stripped down and rebuilt due to old water damage, then covered with new vinyl siding. The source of the water, a leaky roof above the porch, required stripping down the old roof, repairing the leaks and installing new tarpaper and shingles. There was additional discussion with NML about replacing the windows in the 1st-floor rental unit and installing new siding around the entire house over the existing asbestos shingles, but we chose a different contractor for the replacement windows, and opted to repaint the old shingles on the sides of this rather large structure. After these exterior projects were completed, NML repaired interior structural damage (caused by old water leaks) in a top floor bathroom. And several months later, in January 2011, we again called on NML to rebuild interior steps to the basement, which had collapsed. It was indeed a busy few months.

Description of Work: We had cedar shingles removed from our side hall colonial and replaced it with grey vinyl siding. Also,all the windows and any other wood on the house was framed in white aluminum.

Description of Work: We had 22 windows replaced ($10,000) and new siding ($12,000) put on.
