NML Contracting & Roofing

When I called Joe he called back the same day and made an appointment to see us. A written estimate was provided that listed all the work that would be done. We selected our siding and windows and as soon as the windows came in the work was started. We were getting married at the end of June and wanted the work done before our wedding. We were assured it would be done. Charlie and Matt were very professional, courteous and everyone was easy to work with. They found worn pipe boots on the roof that showed holes in the roof. They replaced these also. Each day the yard was cleaned. The work was completed within the time frame we were told and we got married just after the siding and windows were completed. The front door was ordered by us and we had to wait for it. They returned to install our front door. The house looks beautiful and we are very pleased with the work they did.

My first meeting with NML contracting was a gentlemen named Ben. He did the measurements and left us with some shingle samples. He was very polite and professional. He had been roofing for years and it was obvious that he knew his stuff. He was there maybe 20 minutes and was gone. I recieved a quote promptly and we waited to hear back from several other contractors. We decided on NML. I spoke with Joe Lombardi (the owner) and we set the date for today, July 10th. They showed up on time at 7:30 am. A crew of 4 guys became busy as ants on my front lawn. Out come the tarps, the staple guns, compressors, ladders, you name it. By just before 8 am, they were staged and ready to go. I did have a couple of things that were not expected, but nothing that wasn't warranted. By 2pm they have finished the roof, cleaned up everything done. I got a chance to meet and talk at length with the owner Joe Lombardi, I was quite impressed with this self made success.Never thought I'd see some one with a degree in Finance and had worked on wall street walking one my roof stapling shingles. What struck me was his relaxed, "genuine kind of guy" that loves what he is doing.As far as trusting him and the quality of his work goes, for now it is 99.9 good. I'll update that number after we have some more downpours. If it stays dry, I'll give up the other .01% Joe is an all around guy that likes working hard for his family and his customers. He embodies the american entrepenuer spirit that makes this country exceptional,

NML sent a man the afternoon I called. I was surprised to get prompt service during what is ordinarily the busy part of the year for roofers. Some minor repairs were made and some handy advise from the man sent to the house. He was courteous, friendly and as mentioned before, prompt. He was also mindful of our property inside and out and offered to show me what he did up on the roof. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs home contract work.

Great! The entire transaction was very good. The contractor was responsive while I was getting prices, and when he was selected he quickly scheduled the work, showed up and started as promised, and did a great job on the roof in one day, which I didn't think he could do. The site was cleaned up thoroughly.All in all a great job at a reasonable price.

I'm writing this on behalf of work this contractor did for my Mom (I found them here and called and scheduled for her). My Mom had a large leak (caused a bulging ceiling!!) and I called NML on a busy weekend for them. This was after days of heavy rain in the spring so they were getting a lot of calls. I explained the situation and he told me he could come out on Monday morning. Although he was late (car trouble apparently) he assessed the roof and gave a good quote so my Mom asked him to start as soon as possible and gave a deposit. Due to yet more rain she had to wait a bit for him to get there but once he did, he got right to work. Unfortunately the damage was quite extensive, also due to carpenter ants, and the job turned in to a much bigger job and twice the cost. However at every single step, he brought my Mom outside to look at the damage for herself and he explained to her why it was a bigger job than he had originally thought. She felt very comfortable and happy with the way he handled what was to her a very stressful situation. She told me everyone on the crew was friendly, professional and they cleaned up after everything. Mom was so happy and relieved she made sure to ask me to write this good review on her behalf. In my opinion Joe's ability to explain everything to my Mom and make her feel at ease during this whole situation really speaks volumes for the type of company this is. She had nothing but praise for them. Thanks!!

Joe was on time for the service with his crew. They worked all day and cleaned up fairly well. It was a windy day and difficult to keep light pieces of plastic and paper in control so there were some small things I picked up in the ensuing days. The roof looks very good and they reroofed the bay window which I had forgotten about. The price was very good, too. I would use NML roofing again for my roofing, although that shouldn't be for 30 years!

He came out without a ladder and walked around to measure the roof. I asked how he measures the roof and said he can measure it from the ground. He was very pleasant, and did call back and apologized to me. He's a very nice guy, although he does business a bit differently than other contractors.

They were very responsive and did a terrific job. Arrived early in the morning. We discussed the problem and they surveyed the roof for possible problem areas. Applied sealant and told me to let them know if I had any further problems.

We contacted Joe Lombardo in March, 2014 about looking at a leaky garage roof and he sent his crew chief, Ben out to inspect the roof as soon as we had a break in the snowy weather here in Duanesburg. It was determined that the garage roof was beyond repair, being constructed of three tab asphalt shingles that were 20 years old. I spoke with Joe and requested that he give us an estimate on replacing the roof on the house and garage. At no time during this process were Joe or Ben pushy about convincing me to go with the new roof instead of trying repairs. The roof was 20 years old and needed to be replaced. Joe came to the house in mid-April and gave us a very reasonable estimate for architectural grade asphalt shingles with limited lifetime warranty and full 15 year warranty for materials and labor. We scheduled the job for April 17. On April 17 the crew arrived at 7:30 AM. They carefully set up a protective tarp that covered the siding and windows. A crew of five men removed the old roof completely in three hours and had the new roof installed by 4 PM. Joe Lombardo, the owner of NML, was also here while the job was being done.They did a thorough cleanup of the property to ensure that all the nails and old roof pieces were picked up. My father in law and brother in law were roofers and I have done roofing work many years ago. I rate the work performed by NML as first rate and the price of the work as extremely competitive. I would highly recommend NML Contracting.

We were very happy with the service. We called Joe to fix a leak in our roof. He called us back the next day and had a man on site by noon. They not only found and fixed the leak, they also checked the rest of the roof for potential problems and fixed those as well.

It went GREAT. Arrived early morning and completed the job by mid-afternoon. Great Team. Tenants had no complaints. and we heard from a few neighbors and friends how good of a job that Joe and his team did.

Contractor arrived on time and ripped off the old roof. Put tarps down to catch the debris and protect the siding, and did a great and thorough job putting the new roof on in a day and a half. Cleaned up the area and made sure there were no nails in the grass or in the driveway. . Very neat work crew. I was very happy with my new roof, the friendly and courteous manner of the crew; and the price I paid. A few months after this company installed the roof, I decided to downsize and moved to a 50+ year old house. I used this company again for the following projects: *Refinished hardwood floors in the LR, DR, and all bedrooms. Contractor did a beautiful job in a shortened time frame as we were planning to move in and needed the job done very quickly. The floors were done flawlessly. *Ripped out an old half-bath and put in a new beautiful tiled full bath. This major remodeling involved creating more room by removing walls, and moving the existing plumbing and electricity. This job was a big undertaking, but it was done quickly and professionally. *Installed wood fence on the property. Job done quickly and efficiently. *Removed the old linoleum in the kitchen and hall and installed tile flooring. The tile looks incredible; tiles were installed in a diagonal pattern which made the room appear larger. Outstanding job, done fast and meticulously. *Painted the kitchen and hallway. Painting was done professionally and the results were exceptional. As you can see by the above list, I have used this contractor many times over and I am never disappointed. The contractor has a vast knowledge of construction practices, arrives on time and with an experienced crew. I am impressed by their work ethic and ability to get complex projects completed on time and within the stated budget.

Very happy with the service and the cost. Today it rained and the window didn't leak. I am very happy with the whole experience and will use them again in the future.

They arrived and started working at 8:00 a.m. and finished at 5:45 p.m. with excellent clean-up. There were 4 workers and Joe Lombardo who supervised and made things run smoothly. I found Joe to be very honest and informative and his workmen to be hard workers and skilled.

This is the second time I have used Joe and his crew. The first time was to replace the roof on my newly purchased (although older) home this past summer. They did a great job within estimate and all in one day. ,I had noticed a lot of condensation on my windows and on a few mornings there was actually quite a bit of ICE inside the windows! I called Joe and he came over within two days. He gave me an estimate to replace five of the windows and expedited the job as best he could considering it was over the holidays. He did the job as soon as the windows came in and was as efficient and quick as he was with the roof. All five windows were done by mid afternoon even though they had problems getting the old windows out. He is so knowledgeable that he knows how to address any problem. He pointed out a rotten sill outside one of the windows which really could have ended up being a huge problem later on. He did a temporary repair and will be back to build a new sill and fix the issue when I have the other windows replaced in the Spring. His crew is very considerate and they clean everything up before they leave. Joe is now my go to guy for the big things. He is responsive, honest, more than competent and efficient. Highly recommend him and his crew.

NML has done work for me on several occasions. He has replaced a roof...and repaired a roof leak (at another location. Recently NML has replaced ceiling sheet rock as well as replace a garage service door. Excellent service...quality work

I called Joe and left a message saying that I needed an estimate on a roof replacement. My roof was over 30 years old and it was time! Joe promptly returned my call and we arranged for him to come out and take a look at the roof. He explained the process and the options for my roof replacement and gave me a very good price. He answered all my questions, following up with a written estimate. He kept in touch with emails, and text messages. I finally made up my mind after reviewing a couple of estimates and gave him a call on a Friday. He said he could do it the following week if the weather cooperated. It did! I picked out the Owens Corning Duration shingles that were an exact match for the ones installed over 30 years ago. I figured don't mess with success! He said the crew would be there on Wednesday morning and they showed up by 8am and started working. I was worried that the roof might not be finished in a single day because of the waning daylight hours. Joe assured me that he considered that and put a full crew on the job to finish it in one day. Boy did they ever! I couldn't believe it, but they were done by 2pm! They really hustled and since it was a pretty uncomplicated job, without surprises and plywood didn't need replacing, it went all according to plan. They did a nice job of cleaning up (after eating the muffins I baked them!) to finish the day. Joe took a look at the ceiling where I had water damage from a leak and is going to recommend another guy to fix it for me.

We were so happy with Joe after he did our roof last summer, we called him to replace 7 windows in our commercial property. As before, he was punctual, professional, and did a great job for a great price. He and his crew are a pleasure to work with and we will continue to use and recommend him in the future..

We first reached out to NML in mid-August. There was no response since Joe's wife was in the final stages of pregnancy and gave birth to a girl. Several weeks later, Joe finally responded and sent someone over to inspect and measure the roof. Joe brought the estimate to my wife. The estimate was much better than some estimates, and equivalent to others. My wife hadn't mentioned the chimney cap and the vents, so Joe and I went back and forth by email and by phone to work out the details. We agreed to a price and he updated the estimate. He couldn't give us an exact date due to weather, but we were on a short list. He was able to work us in last week. Having done some research, I had a list of questions for Joe that looked at insurance, permits, availability, etc. Joe was able to respond to all my questions, and he was able to schedule the mason to work the roof the same day the roof was put on. I definitely recommend doing your research on what to ask and I recommend getting multiple quotes. One of our quotes was almost three times what we paid NML. One thing that I learned through research was the importance of the waterproofing on the edge. So I requested was six feet of waterproofing put on instead of the normal 3 feet. I did this because our roof is not that steep and we normally have ice build up in the spring. I also anticipated we would need some plywood, so I made sure the cost per sheet was included in the estimate. The work itself looks great. The vents are exactly where I wanted them. The chimney cap has been replaced in a way that we won't need more work for many years. We have had some rain and there were no leaks (we had a leak in the garage prior). My wife was here for the work and ended up answering many questions (for example: vent placement). Something you will want to consider is allowing the contractor to use your bathroom. They did a great job of cleaning up and had my wife inspect their work. She had them rerun the magnet over the lawn. Overall, I was very pleased with NML's work. They had 8 workers and Joe on site. They were able to finish the job in one day, despite the fewer hours of daylight.

Joe and his crew were great throughout the whole process. They took care of everything from pulling the permits to repairing items along the way that they came across and were not anticipated. This was a somewhat large job and the communication throughout was awesome. Any questions or concerns we might have had were immediately addressed and Joe was always just a phone call away. The workmanship was excellent and we cannot say enough great things about NML contracting! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Joe Lombardo from NML is very easy to deal with. Joe responded to our issues (which were minimal) throughout the installation. The work itself took some time as the house has so many angles, windows and eaves. The crew did a very good job on the vinyl installation. The aluminum fascia was a challenge .... (about 300 feet) looks great .... my comment on this is 'The American craftsman is alive and well'. Sometimes the little things stand out..... examples..... -1- the corner posts on our house rest on a concrete base that tilts away from the house for water drainage. the crew cut the bottom of the posts at an angle for a proper fit on the concrete base. -2- the aluminum fascia was constructed to overlap the soffit by about 2 inches ... it looks great. A job well done.

They gave us a price. They had a lot more trouble installing windows than they even anticipated. We have an older house and there was a lot of hidden problems. They kept to their price, which was really great. They were really nice. They were nice to help to. They did a great job and made sure everything was finished up. They had expected to be in and out in one day and it ended up being 3 days. We had a lot of questions on the windows and we never had a problem getting answers. They were very honest.

First of all Joe Lombardo at NML contracting was wonderful at working out a schedule that allowed the roof to be done at the same time as the skylight installation. Adding to this was the need to factor in my schedule and the weather. It all came together very nicely and was done flawlessly. Our house is an old dutch farm house built in 1790's with some unusual angles and very few truly straight lines. His crew was able to compensate for these challenges and do a beautiful job at a very reasonable cost. After first removing the old shingles it was obvious (even to me) that the old wood sheathing beneath (probably original) had extremely large gaps and required new sheathing. There were four things that really stand out with NML Contracting: 1. Once they started, they stayed until the job was done. 2. The price was reasonable. 3. When we had a question or concern I could easily contact Joe via cell or text and get a response within minutes. 4. They were done in two days. I will definitely be using him in the future for other work.

Joe and his crew were very professional, prompt and thorough. They arrived at 8 a.m. as promised and completed the job by 5 p.m. the same day. They worked steadily through the day and cleaned the entire area thoroughly so there was no debris from the old roof anywhere on the property. Joe is very personable and easy to work with. He explained everything he was going to do in advance and provided an estimate within two days of surveying the job. The estimate was completely within the range of what I was expecting to pay for a new roof. I had to ask him to be flexible because of my work schedule and he was very accommodating. I will use Joe again for some other projects this year and would highly recommend him. UPDATE - I did check the recommend to neighbors but it did not appear in NMLs review. I must have inadvertently checked the wrong box.
