Joe's was one of five estimates we received for the work on the roof and porch. We chose to go with NML Contracting and Roofing because we appreciated Joe's interest in our project and his willingness to listen to and attempt to meet all of the goals we had in mind for these improvements. As we explained what we were looking for, Joe was helpfully thinking about ways he could help us get the job done and keep our budget under control. Work on the roof was rapid and precise. The removal team was very professional. As they pulled off and disposed of the old shingles they continuously cleaned up the refuse, gathering the nails and other debris as soon as it hit the ground. The roof was off and replaced within 10 hours. The results are amazing. The porch was more complicated because of significant wood rot throughout the structure. The team that renovated the porch was also professional and extremely accomplished carpenters. The truth is that the porch was a mess and it is now a beautiful showpiece. We are very, very happy with the results.

This was my first experience with this type of home repair and I am happy that I hired Joe Lombardo of NML Contracting and Roofing. I had five quotes from the top five roofing contractors from Angie’s List… it took me a long time to sort through all the quotes and differences. Joe took his time to explain the process and answer all of my questions. Joe was prompt and very responsive …. his team worked diligently to get the job done quickly and efficiently. I was never left hanging. He delivered on his promises, and that was extremely, important to me. I would definitely recommend this company. I have lots of compliments … the roof looks fantastic! I am happy with the Owens Corning architectural shingles. They brought a good size crew and were in and out in 1 day! They removed and hauled away my old shingles and cleaned the mess with a trailer (no damage to lawn or driveway). Housekeeping could have been better…Im still finding nails ( I have landscaping 360 degrees around the home). Overall very satisfied and would highly recommend their services.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Joe and his team of workers. It started with sending a message requesting an estimate for the job, Joe responded right away and we set up a date for him to give me an estimate. He was on time and very friendly, he explained everything in detail about what he would do, how long it would take and when he could do it. We talked back and forth several times since I was getting other estimates and I decided to go with NML. We set up a date for when the weather got nicer and his foreman was there early the day they did the job and explained what they would be doing and asked if I had any questions. His foreman (sorry cant remember his name) was so friendly and even went above and beyond by offering to take down an old antenna and wiring that was not being used. The workers showed up and worked very hard all day only taking a break for lunch or something to drink. They finished the job around 3pm and cleaned up the yard and were gone by 4pm. I love the roof and have had several comments on how nice it looks. I have asked Joe to give me an estimate on a couple of other things I would like done and would highly recommend them. I enjoyed watching them work they were all very professional. Thanks again!

Joe showed up to give an estimate precisely when he said he would. He provided shingle selection charts and a professional and detailed estimate. He and his crew started the job on the date they promised and finished the job in one day. He didn't require any money until the job was completed. They did a great job and were well below their competitor's prices.

Our home was built in 1952. The windows were sorely in need of replacement. I had 3 bids on replacing 15 windows. We contracted NML over the other 2 nationally-known companies in the "window business". We were replacing "awning" windows, which do price out higher than double hung windows. Joe Lombardo gave us 2 quotes; one for very good replacement awning windows, and one for premium grade awning replacement windows. We went with the premium grade Paradigm windows. And SO HAPPY we did. The windows are amazing! Joe and his crew (Dave & Eric) were such a pleasure to work with. They were professional, courteous and reliable. And Dave is an artist when it comes to trimming the windows. What a perfectionist! We could not have been more pleased in every aspect of this project. We will definitely contact Joe of NML Contracting for all of our projects in the future.

We are very happy with Joe and his company. He is a good communicator, described all products and services thoroughly, answered all phone calls and questions. His crew works very hard. Our new roof looks great and NML's clean-up was excellent. A pre-existing leak is fixed. We have been in touch with Joe since for additional work.

Started on time. Found some problems with the plywood and ended up replacing quite a few sheets - which cost me $$ and him time. But this wasn't his fault. Job completed according to plan, and they left no mess at all. The warranty took about 6 weeks to arrive from the manufacturer of the shingles.

Very Pleased!! NML were there when scheduled and was one of the nicest contractors with which I have dealt. Not only did they repair the porch, they left me with (for all intents and purposes) a new porch. It looks great. Joe, my main contact, worked with me to save money without compromising quality. We have had many compliments on the porch. What they did: New porch roof, decking, under layer and rolled roofing, tied into the house roof. New ceiling - bead board, rehung light fixture and gutter (money saver!) Existing supports were in good shape and used (money saver!) New porch floor. New railings. New hand rails on the stairs. They saved me money by reusing the old stairs, re-installing them and adding a very sturdy hand rail. All of this was completed in 3 days! Once complete, the area was cleaned up, no debris in sight. I will be contacting this contractor in the future for other work. : f. werer

It went very smoothly...one of NML, Bernis, crew came in and prepared for the new windows by removing the old storms and painting where the wood would show. He took away the old ones. A day or 2 later, our windows arrived and on the day they were to be installed, Bernis showed up on time and immediately went to work. He put down drop clothes to minimize the mess and had a shop vac to clean up. Bernis is a terrific worker, very professional and we couldn't be happier with our new windows! We need another 12 or so more done and will definitely be hiring this company to do those, too.

When I received my estimate from NML I was impressed with the amount of material and pamphlets that were provided to me with all the information about the work to be done. The estimate was close to another estimate I received. I chose NML because of the information offered at time of estimate. They were also very accomidating to try to match the shingles on the front of the house that were replaced 10 years ago. They were originally scheduled to come on 10/12/15 but ended up not coming due to several of the guys needing off because of the school holiday. The following day called for rain. So they came on Wed... Unfortunately, I didn't know they were not coming on Monday till I called to confirm. Two guys came to do the roof. I expected a smaller crew since it was half a roof and not a very big one. Both gentlemen were very nice and polite. They did an excellent job. They also policed around the house and driveway several times to ensure they didn't leave any trash or nails. They even cleaned out some debris that was clogging my gutters. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my experience. They were priced right and did a good job.

Joe spent a good deal of time to familiarize me with the numerous products allowing me to make the best choice for my budget. We coordinated a work plan that would work for both of us. His workers were skilled, diligent and polite. The property was left immaculate upon property completion.

I have nothing but praise for Joe and his team. They did a good job in replacing our roof. Everything was explained before and as it was happening. We continued to have an unexplained leak. Bernes, Joe's wonderful and persistent assistant, came out multiple times on short notice to try to find the problem. It turned out not to be the roof. He has since fixed the identified problem and has promised to return if the leak persists. His curiousity and determination to find the cause of the leak was unexpected, rare, and much appreciated. The team works quickly and neatly. We were very pleased.

Very well. They came when they said they would, were professional and polite. The quality of the work was very good. The owner, Joe returned all phone calls and provided detailed estimate. The crew was polite and not too messy. We are very satisfied with the work and would use them again.

Dealing with Joe and his employees was great. I contacted the company online through Angie's List and received a call to set up an appointment the next day. Joe showed up right on time for the appointment, explained how he does roofs and provided me with an estimate. I accepted his bid on the following Tuesday, and he was able to schedule me that Friday. My roof is fairly steep and has several different elevations, so it would not be an easy job. His crew showed up first thing in the morning. They worked hard all day, taking only minimal breaks, and finished the job by 6:00. The clean up was perfect, no mess was left behind.

It went great! Joe and his crew arrived as scheduled and in one day, we had a new roof. Joe pointed out a couple of issues that we were able to address and we'll be hiring him to do more work. I would definitely hire this company again and highly recommend them.

Joe was very quick to return all phone calls emails and text messages. Charlie and Mitch were great onsite working in 90 plus degree temperature . Joe kept everything on time and on budget. He was the last contractor we interviewed his A rating is well deserved.

Joe promised to beat any estimate I received from a competitor... and he did. His crew arrived on site as scheduled & they completed the job the same day. They protected my shrubs & hauled the old roof away. They swept the property to pick up loose nails. They also fixed my gutters, which was not in the contract.

NML was the low estimate of three contractors, and right in line with the insurance estimate. Joe was easy to work with and professional. We took a little time in deciding who to go with and to get the insurance money and our own deductable together, and Joe was good with that. When we decided we needed to replace two skylights (not in the original bid), there was some delay on Joe's part trying to get the best option for us. It turned out that the person he used most for skylights was on vacation; but when he returned, everything went smoothly and quickly. The job was done over two days; and they came back the next day just to make sure all traces were cleaned up and no litter was left on the property. Overall it went smoothly and everything was done in a timely fashion as agreed upon. The roof looks great. And I would highly recommend the Harbor Blue color shingles by Corning. I would certainly use NML again and recommend them to others.

Joe and his crew (about a half a dozen) showed up a little before 8am. He also let me know the day before what his start time would be. Before any work was done on the house the crew draped the back of the house and my deck with tarps and my entrance on the front. They pulled their truck up the driveway as close to the house as possible to catch the debris from the roof. After the house was prepped they began tearing off the shingles and tar paper right down to the plywood. All the debris went off the front of the roof into the truck. Some plywood on the back of the garage was damaged due to ice dams and was replaced . The crew worked continuously until their one and only break , lunch, around 1:30 in the afternoon. This in itself was impressive because they were working during the recent heat wave and the air temperature that day was at least 93 ! The roof vents and ventilation stack covers were also replaced. All the work done was top notch ! My wife and I were amazed that the crew kept working through the oppressive heat until the job was finished ! By four thirty or five o clock the roof was finished ! The clean up was meticulous and very thorough. (also no huge dumpster sitting in my driveway !) Our new roof (approximately 30 x 80) was completed in one day. It looks great and I would recommend NML Contracting and Roofing for thorough and professional work.

From start to finish, a pleasure to deal with. Joe was always prompt, no sales pitch, just a real tradesman who knows what he's doing and does it well. We had a roof that was originally shingle and rolled (due to pitch); Joe was able to utilize materials we didn't have 18 years ago to shingle the entire roof, and provide additional waterproofing. The result is aesthetically brilliant and (more importantly) water tight. He and his crew showed up exactly when they said they would, and were finished within 10 minutes of his original estimate. Cleanup was outstanding - I found one single old roofing nail after a 2200 square foot job. Would definitely rehire, would definitely recommend.

Joe was not the easiest guy to get a hold of and we played phone tag for a couple of weeks. Once he provided the estimate and we agreed on a price then the work was completed within a week. His helper who was with him on the estimate completed all of the repairs. Here is the list of items that were to get repaired: Two leaking roof plumbing boots Gutter hanging off of the house to be re attached Bathroom vent fan venting behind the siding and causing mold. to be replaced Basement window frame rotten and needs replacement Patch a siding hole behind a gas meter. All repairs were completed today and I was very pleased with the work. Upon closer inspection the scope of the work changed as he noticed the bathroom vent fan did not need replacement just a better seal to the duct behind not to leak air behind the siding. As he was on the roof he also noticed an issue with the ridge vent that he took care of for no extra charge since the bathroom job was much less than previously scoped. The siding patch and the basement window frame replacement came out very nicely. I was impressed with the attention to detail and the willingness to take care of an issue not originally in the scope. I will call again if needing any roofing, siding or window work.

NML Contracting had recently begun a working relationship with The Window Source. Joe of NML and Steve of TWS jointly met with me to discuss the project, to replace four single hung windows with double hung, and replace two doors, a broken screen/storm door on a second floor porch and a steel garage door, the bigger aspect of which was to build a whole new wood frame attached to concrete to replace the rotted one that was there. The meeting initially focused on the windows and I chose the style that I wanted, after which Steve left. Joe and I then discussed the doors. In both cases, he told me, WITHOUT measuring them, that the doors were "standard size" and told me what those dimensions were so that I could order them from Lowes. Steve came back a week or so later with a coworker to get the precise window measurements. When it came time for installation, there was a minor complication with the windows that could not have been foreseen, but it was resolved very professionally. But the doors were both the wrong size. The storm door was a few inches too short and about an inch too narrow. The garage door was the right width, but a few inches too tall. The subcontractors were able to install the storm door, but it took several hours longer than it was supposed to because of the extra tasks they had to perform to make it fit . They weren't able to install the garage door at all. It was an in stock item so could be easily returned, but we now had to wait for a custom order door to come in, which delayed completion of the project for a few more weeks. After the initial meeting, Steve was my contact for the rest of the project. I had no contact with Joe again. Apparently, when Steve discussed the door problem with Joe, Joe gave Steve a different version of what he had told me than what he actually did, seemingly trying to shift the blame to me. I set Steve right on that, but I need to reiterate that I was not a party to their conversation, so can't give a first hand account. Regardless of that, Steve was genuinely apologetic for the error and my cost reflects some reductions to make up for it. Overall, Steve acted with utmost professionalism when dealing with Joe's errors and I appreciate the reductions. However, that doesn't negate that the errors should never have happened in the first place. Thus, a few B grades where I would have liked to have given As. (For "professionalism", trying to shift blame to the customer deserves a C at best, but Steve salvaged that up to a B.) In hindsight, I'm stunned that for a contractor, measuring wasn't automatic. Maybe now it will be. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the labor of NML itself, but all things considered, I would use them again. One screwup aside, they did a great job.

I'm very pleased. Joe responded quickly to my inquiry. He asked me to text him a picture of the house and piece of siding that fell off. He sent one of his guys to do repair. Ben did a good job. It was a small job and a nuisance since I had paid another contractor to repair it one month earlier. He used silicone instead of nailing in the siding and it didn't hold. I should have called Joe at NML Contracting the first time. It would have saved me time and money!
