Made my day! I had Dan Amadeo. So good to know that there are still service people that are truly here to serve! He not only showed me precisely what was wrong but gave me two options on how to repair, one which would have saved more than 20% on the job. (As the absolute dollar amount was not too different I went with the higher priced option). He was sincere, upbeat, and comprehensive in both his evaluation and the job he did, pointing out other areas for improvement for the future. Additionally the customer service line at Mel Electric was also so helpful when I called and they got someone out to me as soon as possible. I'll never use anyone else. Should I ever need an electrician again I'm going with Mel... no contest!

Very good service but very expensive. I would definitely get quotes from somewhere else before I do any work again with Mel Carr Electric.

Perfectly! Very meticulous, neat and professional. They came on short notice and did an excellent job.

Dan was very nice, very prompt, and very professional! He came out to our home within about an hour or so after we called. He fixed both outlets and also told us of a coupon and another discount that we qualified for, which we greatly appreciated.

It was installed with minimal issues. Installer was professional.

Another electrician, the one who actually installed the new circuit breaker box, could never find the reason why that one breaker would constantly trip. After it tripping yet again, we phoned Mel Carr Electric. They had technician, Dave B. out to our home within an hour ! Not only was he able to quickly located the problem (recent construction work on our home had dislodged an outside outlet which kept shorting out), but he fixed it once and for all. We have 4 cats and though he said he was allergic to cats, did not make a big fuss about it even when our Maine **** cat (Rascal) kept trying to "make friends" (despite putting him repeatedly in another room). Rascal knows "good people" and Dave B. was very personable, professional, instructive and helpful. It was a bit expensive, but Dave B. told us all of our options before beginning any work and gave us the chance to select the work to be completed. Would definitely use them again!

Nothing major was found but learned that the LED light bulbs we were using either are not meant for enclosed lighting or were just a bad batch of bulbs. Also learned about new options for lighting in the kitchen. They replaced a bad outlet as well. I do feel a lot better knowing there are no major issues with the electrical system. Dan was very professional, provided options and pricing up front so I could make an informed decision.

I am completely satisfied with the work Mel Carr Electric did in my home. I had a long list of issues I needed them to do. They gave me prices up front, so I could set priorities, maybe putting off some of the less urgent work for later. Dave B did a full inspection of the system in my home, checking all the outlets, making recommendations etc. He showed great attention to detail and I felt confident I was dealing with a pro. He's also a really nice guy! The amount of work I had done took two days, and on the second day he brought another electrician, Sean, who was also competent and friendly. I would highly recommend using this firm if you want the job done right the first time. (As I did not get other bids, I cannot comment on the pricing, although I was grateful to know upfront what I would pay.)

Electrician Dan A. arrived on time as scheduled. Wiring checked out OK. He explained advantage of having CO detectors in sleeping areas. Old smoke detectors had ended their life program and were removed and replaced with new carbon monoxide/ smoke detectors. Dan disposed of old equipment. Punctual. Perfect. Professional. I wanted his expertise so My family remained safe at home.

I thought their price was reasonable. They are very responsive. Yes, I would use them again.

I contacted Mel Carr electric. I wanted 2 existing out door fixtures replaced. It was a simple, one man job. It would have taken probably one half hour for both. I was given a price of $300.00. I have had other electric projects done by other companies. Based on the time and labor the price of $300.00, was price gauging. When I called Mel Carr electric, they said they would have a man come to my house and if I liked the price they would do the job then. I am widowed and live alone. I feel the price was based on this. I called another electrician and after explaining the 2 simple jobs, he gave me a price of $ 150.00 while I was on the phone. I did show the Mel Carr electrician the fixture to be replaced, so he knew the work involved.

Excellent, professional services were provided. The electrician, Dave B., was pleasant, on time and did a great job.

Dave was great and offered me options on work. Ceiling fan replacement and switch replacement were an easy fix. My only issue is that work was not done on an hourly basis, but on a fee basis, which I thought was very high. I would've given an A if it were not so expensive.

Estimate form Mel's Carr electric, and we didn't use them. I wanted to get another estimate, because I thought the estimate was too high. I don't know if it was a bad estimate it seemed high enough that I wanted to get another estimate. I'm doing some of the work myself. They were prompt and professional. I have a little trouble with the estimate, they just took the highest item and multiplied it by 3. I wasn't real happy with their estimate process. As far as coming out and being throughout they were. I don't really have anything to compare it with. They may be just as good or bad as any other company. They were responsive, they took my call right away the next day maybe. They were right on time.

Jason C. assisted by another electrician, Dave, completed the work in about 1 and 1/2 hours. Everything was completed to my total satisfaction. Both men came on time and were professional, as well as being very friendly. I would recommend them to others and would certainly hire them again.

Jason C. And Gary C. were on time, efficient, neat, concerned with our preferences and completed al of our jobs to our great satisfaction. They cleaned up after they were finished and put everything back in place.

I called Mel Carr , expressed my concerns and a electrician was sent to my house within the hour. Dave B. made a quick assessment and got immediately to work. Very impressive customer service and high quality work. . I was delighted with the responsiveness of this company. Definitely use them again.

They came when they said they would and called before they came. All jobs were done quickly and neatly.(wore shoe booties}. Dave and Gary were friendly and efficient. I would use them again and refer them to friends.

Went fine, It took the electrician some time to diagnose the issue. Once diagnosed, he fixed the problem. There were no other issues at all. I probably wouldn't hire again only due to the high cost of the service. There were no problems with the service at all.

Jason C arrived on time and did an excellent job. Installation was neat and lights work great. Highly recommend.

Very well, no problems at all but I do think the cost was a little high for the job. Dave B. was very courteous and did a fine job changing the outlet in a reasonable amount of time.

He discovered the problem which was a port hole in the pool pump was exposed. He plugged the hole, put silicone around it to ensure no further moisture would get inside the pump. In addition, he informed us that it would be better for our circuit breaker to install a timer rather than turning it on and off every day. So we decided to have the timer installed as he said he could do it right away.

Dan did a wonderful job, as he's always done. I highly recommend Mel Carr Electric.
