Description of Work: I went there to get my vacuum repaired and they did a wonderful job. I was told by the manufacturer that the vacuum was beyond repair, and that since it was under warranty, I could purchase a newer one for an additional 129! So I took it to Lexington, and not only did they repair it, but cleaned it up so that it was literally new. Its been several months, and it still works. They also see a great organic clothes detergent that cost about 20.00 I bought it, and it lasted three month. I just went in a couple of weeks ago to pick up another one. I would have never found this store if it wasn't for Angie's list and the reviews.

 + -1 moreTim was obviously very knowledgeable about vacuums and showed me a couple of options (pet hair is my nemesis). He was very thorough and spent quite a bit of time with me. He threw in a few vaccum bags and extra belts. This was a very positive experience and I would definitely go back.
Description of Work: I brought in my vacuum because it emitted a burning smell. Tim, the store manager, looked at it right away and quoted a price to repair. It was too much to make any sense so I sought his advice about buying a new vacuum. (They did recycle my old vacuum.)

 + -1 moreI needed a new vacuum cleaner for a house full of wall to wall carpet. Marty explained the pros and cons of various brands and models, listening carefully to my needs. He recommended a cleaner that was moderately priced and never attempted to upsell me to a more expensive model. I was in his store twice before making my purchase and I watched him and his associate treat several customers with dignity and respect whether they were looking at high end cleaners or simply buying vacuum cleaner bags. I am very happy with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

 + -1 moreI dealt with the owner Marty, who bent over backwards to help me with an item that I didn't purchase from him. He kept me posted as to what was going on. Bissell just gave us the run around from day one and since this was a non-repairable item I had to wait for Bissell to replace it. Which took months. The bottom line is that I will never by another Bissell product but I would deal with Lexington anytime.
Description of Work: He facilitated a warranty repair on a Bissell steam mop.

 + -1 moreI vacuumed up a thick piece of string and even though I removed the string, the vacuum was picking up only about 5% of what it normally does. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant and friendly. I took my receipt to show it was in the warranty period. I wasn't sure what they could do since the problem had been caused by me vacuuming up something I shouldn't have, but they were able to get parts under warranty, and I paid $80 + tax for the labor. This is the amount that they had given as an estimate. It works great now.

 + -1 moreI brought my vacuum cleaner to them for repair and all they did was try to sell me a new one, even though I repeatedly told them I was not interested in purchasing a new one. I finally ended up taking my vacuum to Capital Vacuums instead, who repaired it for a very reasonable price.

 + -1 moreI have been using them for years and there are never any problems. You drop it off and they are done in a short amount of time. The prices are reasonable. They are also very honest and if there is ever something that they can't fix or if would not be worth the money they let you know.
Description of Work: I needed a new switch on my vacuum, so I took it to them to have it replaced.
