The service was very good. The guys who came to do the work were very polite and knowledgeable. The price was very reasonable.

Their service has been very good. Their prices are lower than others in the area. They always call before they come. They are good to my puppies in that they always let me know when they have come. They were recommended by our neighbors. A lot of the homes in the area use their services.

We had asked Lawn Dawg for an estimate for treating our lawn for the 2013 season. Their cost seemed competitive, but our decision was to utilize another firm. We were looking for service from a local business, having worked with a multi-State operation previously and been unsatisfied with their customer approach. As Lawn Dawg appears to based in New England, we opted not to choose them.

The lawn definitely improved over the summer and the crabgrass has vanished. I'm impressed with Lawn Dawg and recommended them to my neighbor when grub worms were destroying parts of their lawn. Given the reasonable price and the results I look forward to next season when the first application is applied in early spring.
Description of Work: After crabgrass became a problem and there were bare spots in our lawn, I priced a few companies and on recommendation from my landscaper I hired Lawn Dawg this past June, they were also reasonably priced compared to other companies. We also paid for the optional grub worm treatment as that had been a problem in the past. Everything we paid for has worked.

lso good about answering random questions regarding lawn care.
Description of Work: I have used Lawn Dawg for several years now and have always been satisfied with their service. I initially hired them because we had so many moles that our whole lawn looked like a race car track. In fact, we came very close to loosing the lawn entirely but Lawn Dawg saved it. This year we had a drought and many people had their lawns burn up. Between Lawn Dawg and our sprinkle system we had one of the few lawns on our street that still looked great. Lawn Dawg is very responsive when you call and if you're not satisfied with a treatment they will do it over free of charge. They are also good about answering random questions about lawn care and about notifying you regarding your next lawn treatment date. We are very pleased with all aspects of Lawn Dawg's service and plan to continue hiring them each year.

Fertilizing caused burn spots in lawn, crab grass in many places, and weeds still in yard. Called Lawn Dawg and they failed to show up the day they said they would evaluate the lawn with the problems noted above. When they showed up a few days later representive was not that helpful. Lawn Dawg called later and I let them know that I wasn't happy with my lawn. I asked for the manager to come and evaluate the lawn. The manager came and seemed very knowledgeable and said the lawn didn't look good. He applied a weed killed for the weeds and later Lawn Dawg applied a crabgrass killer both at no charge. Later thjey applied grub killer at no charge because grubs were found in yard. Later they core areated the lawn and over seeded. The Service improved over the season progressed.
Description of Work: Fertilizing, weed control, pre-merging crabgrass and lime added. Performed from late spring thru summer. Later in summer had weed control, crabgrass killer, and grub killer applied. In fall had core aeration and over seeding.

Management is not professional nor responsive. They wait for us to report problems instead of being proactive. Too many excuses and terrible follow-up. I finally fired them!

Lawn Dawg understands that our customers have very busy schedules and may not always have the time available to call during normal business hours, if this is the case our customers are able to log onto our web-site and request a call back, service visit and so on; along with the ability to email our customer service at any point throughout the day and these requests are addressed immediately. It’s not a bad problem to have, but occasionally we have a small percentage of our customers that only want to correspond with a manager they are accustomed to dealing with and do to business travel, meetings or even vacation time that manager may not be available to address their concerns in a time frame they have grown accustomed to. On other occasions we have special request from some of our customers to only have a specific manager or specialist handle their account. Lawn Dawg takes pride in honoring those request; however, in order to better serve each of our customers we keep them informed and up-to-date of the amount of training we provide each of our team members. We provide company-wide training sessions throughout the year along with individual training provided by our management team. Lawn Dawg is also honored to have our own Director of Training to implement detailed information each of our employees need to provide the utmost quality and care to our customers. We take pride in our “Customer Service Commitment” and review this weekly, monthly and annually with our staff. They had a policy that when their rubber wheel cart comes off the lawn it has to be washed down completely. Then they can move on to a new lawn in case there is disease on a wheel. He was there in the lawn for about 20 minutes. After that my lawn just turned to crap. He brought a disease from another lawn and he just put it down in my lawn. My lawn suffered for it. He said that it might be because of my lawn mower. But the wheels of my lawn mower don't go off my lawn. I stopped using them but they stills end me stuff saying that they want me back and that they would give me a good deal.

A variety of lawn diseases can be spread in many different ways. Unfortunately, our equipment happens to be one of those ways! Once the disease is present, a lawn mower can act as the carrier and spread it to other areas as well. When this occurs, our policy is to diagnose, treat, and to keep the customer informed from infection to cure. Usually the lawn is restored to it’s original condition within a matter of a couple of weeks. In the rare instance where the damage is more severe, we have always taken the necessary steps to repair any damage to the customer’s complete satisfaction. We would welcome the opportunity to service this client once again! Working together, I’m confident we can deliver the result he desires.

They did an okay job. We only used them for one year. For this coming year, the price increased dramatically so I didn't use them again. I didn't have any issues with them. There were times where they were supposed to call when they were planning to show up and they would never call and they would just show up. I would never know if they were here or not.

First year was good. Second year was horrible, very unprofessional staff.
Description of Work: Lawn Dawg treated our lawn for several years. We never had any problems during the first year and our lawn started to look nice. The second year was the complete opposite. We stopped receiving the 2-day notification calls, only the front yard was tagged leading us to assume that the back yard had not been treated, on one occasion only part of our back yard was treated, and on several occassions the technician never showed. Attempts to reach anyone to request and explanation regarding the aforementioned issues was a constant hurdle. Either the technician wasn't available or we were told to call back the next day. Never did we receive a call from a manager at Lawn Dawg apologizing for the ongoing problems. We decided not ot renew our contract with Lawn Dawg for 2012; however, upon receiving numerous calls from the LD sales department in New Hampshire and after many convgersations with Suzanne, we were assured that the LD customer service has improved and that we would not experience the same inconsistencies as we had in 2011. Therefore, we decided to give LD another try. Our first application was scheduled for April 11 and AGAIN, the technician never showed! We contacted LD immediately and asked that they never call us again.

Our commitment is to always provide our customers a courtesy call 2 to 3 days prior to us going out to treat so the is aware we are scheduled to be there on a designated day. In 2011 we did resort to utilizing an automated call system after our first application which may have caused some confusion since our customers were accustomed to receiving a personal call. To find out that any customer was finding it difficult to speak to one of our Customer Service Representatives or one of our Managers is a concern. As a Manager, I take a lot of pride in speaking and assisting our customers. I find that the feedback we receive from our customers is more valuable than any training manual. This information provides us the necessary tools of how we need to train and continue to improve the quality of service and communication we are committed to giving our customers. In November of 2011, Lawn Dawg did centralize our Customer Service and Sales in order to provide our customers with a higher level of communication and performance. During this process we may have encountered a few bumps that still required attention, but feel that each day this is improving. It is company policy that any time a technician is not able to perform the scheduled service, they are to contact the homeowner and explain why the service wasn’t applied that day and to inform the customer we will get them back in the schedule as soon as possible if not the very next day. Lawn Dawg is committed to our customers and the level of service we provide. We are committed to continue looking for ways that we can improve and provide our customers the best service they can ask for.

They are punctual and the lawn did look better than it was before. i stopped using them due to the high price. i would have given them an overall higher score (and a higher score in professionalism except that they are very persistent in getting your business back once you discontinue. for months after i cancelled the service i was getting 2-3 phone calls every month to get me to sign up again.
