The J&M representative who came to our house was very polite, prompt, and professional. He also gave us a timely estimate regarding the price. However, the price he quoted us seemed a lot higher than our preliminary research suggested it would be. We decided to get another estimate to see if this was a reasonable price for the job. The second contractor went through the house, measuring square footage, noting window locations, and he performed a "j load calculation". The second contractor came up with an estimate that was approximately $2500 less than J&M's. I decided to write this review because I am troubled by the difference in estimates: J&M either didn't have the technology to figure out what system was best for our house or they may have been trying to sell us a larger unit than our smaller ranch-style home needed. J&M isn't necessarily a bad company; I think this is just a reminder that getting multiple estimates is important!

It was $850. It just leaked on my birthday and I didn't have $850 so they said Sandy just pay us on time. They said just give us half and pay us the rest when you have it. I remember how nice they were about letting me pay for it on time. I called to tell them I have water all over my floor and they came right out.

I give them all A's! I have recommend them to others. They did a really good job.

I can't say too many good things about them. They were great. They came right away and took care of it right away. The price was very reasonable. It was the drain for the whole house, not a sink or anything. They did some other work for us, installing some things. They were very good. It was really a conscientious job. I've recommended them as well.

He never gave me any estimate despite calling back three times over 6 weeks.

It was all done in a day and no problems. We were scheduled to have the work done on July 7th, but we turned on the A/C one day and nothing was happening so they moved us up to yesterday, which was very nice. They were neat, clean, and professional. They explained everything afterwards and showed us everything they did. They had all the paperwork filled out and already registered the new furnace with the company in order to get any kind of warranty. They gave us all the paperwork in order to get rebates because it's an energy efficient furnace and also on the thermostat.

Got us installed by 12/31 start of winter season and in time for NYSERDA rebate.

The installation took two days, as we were told. The professionals from Jand M Schwarz were not disruptive at all; we hardly knew they were here. That is a rare statement when you have contractors in your home. They were briefed by John Schwarz and knew what had to be done. It was painless.

They were excellent. My overall experience with them was good. I would rate them highly. I would use them again in the future.

In early July our air conditioner stopped operating. I called the company that we had been using for over 15 years and was told that they could not get to us for a week. A friend recommended J&M Schwartz. I called them that evening and they were there at 8:00AM the next day. They said the coolant was low and they recharged the system. They charged $160 for this visit. Approximately 6 weeks later, on a weekend night we had the same problem. They came out again and the system needed to be recharged again. Because this was a weekend they charged $220. Later that month we had them in to perform our annual maintenance on our system. This visit costs $160 for the cleaning and the maintenance agreement. At that time they checked the pressure on our air conditioner and it was holding. About three weeks later the drain under our bathroom sink sprang a leak. The repair became quite involved as they had to cut off the nut that connected the sink drain to the house drain and the old pipes under the sink basically tore apart when they put a wrench on them. The bill for this service came to $175. They also checked the pressure in the air conditioning system while they were here and it is still holding. About two weeks later I received a call from them saying that, since they had to charge us twice for the same repair on the air conditioner they were not going to charge us for the sink repair and they credited my account.

This was the second time I've called J & M Schwarz, and was pleased. The inspector was prompt, friendly, and got the job done. He also gave us some advice on our heating during the cold months. Good friendly service.
