UPDATE 2: I tried them again with the same result. Terrible service. We had a technician come out to diagnose a problem with our humidifier. He was a nice guy and discovered we have a bad humidistat. He didn't have the part, so I was told he would go back to the office and order it and I would be contacted with an installation date. I paid over $100 for a diagnosis fee. The technician told us it would likely cost an additional $120 for the part and installation. When we called back a few days later (because we never received a follow up call), we were told the part was not ordered, and it would cost approx $220. They asked "Would we just like to buy a brand new humidifier." I was stunned. I feel like a fool giving this company a second chance. UPDATE: I was personally contacted by Todd and he apologized (also see Response below). We had a nice chat, and I'll be giving Family Danz a second chance the next time I need service. Had a leaky heat exchanger. The tech evaluated the problem and said he thought it was the drain line or the drain pan. Said he would first blow out the drain line to see if that helped. If it didn't help, he said the service charge would be applied to fixing the drain pan. Turns out the problem was the drain pan. When the pan started leaking again, I called the office every day for 7 days and left messages with the receptionists and others. Not once did I get a phone call back. A simple return phone call would have been nice. Not only did they lose any future business from me, but I had just received a quote for a new A/C unit and there is no way I would have them do the work. I have had to contact another company to fix the original problem.

They were here on time. They did the job in one day and it has been running good ever since. It’s more efficient now. I haven’t yet made up my mind if I would use them again because they aren’t really local.

Boiler installed in 2008. We have had it maintained every year since. They have had to come out 3-5 times a year when it just doesn't turn on. They have already had to replace a damper motor and transformer, as well as many service calls for the boiler just not turning on. They have also replaced the power vent for the boiler as part of a renovation. For the power vent, the owner was out, and said he would have someone come do an estimate. They came, we thought to do the estimate, but actually did the work, then charged us $1000. When I asked for an itemization, the answer I got was "Ted said it was $1000. that's what it costs." They were just here again tonight, for at least the third time for the same problem (boiler not sensing that the water level was low, so no heat.). $380. For 52 minutes work, including the time to write the bill. The serviceman who was here tonight must have thought it was installed by someone else, since he asked the following questions during his time here: "how come they haven't fixed why it doesn't sense?" "who installed this, anyway?" When he learned that his company had installed it, suddenly it wasn't an issue of poor installation, but a "maintenance issue." We have a maintenance contract with them, which I pointed out. He replied "well, it's not part of the usual maintenance." Lots of double talk. They seem dishonest (no estimate, work done without approval), with poor quality work (a new boiler shouldn't need 3-5 service calls per year in the first 2 years, and bad with details (number of times we have been told something will happen and it never does unless we call, then they have no idea what we are talking about.) We would not recommend using this company.

They did a good job and they were great as well.

He got the problem fixed right away, which I am happy about. He was very knowledgeable. Everything is computerized now so he was able to pin point the exact shortage immediately. The air conditioner has been fine since he fixed it and it has not had any more problems. He was in and out very quickly and they were reasonably priced.

They were very good. I discussed the size of the unit with them and he suggested that the system that they installed was the best choice for supporting the duct work already in my home. I thought that was very professional of him and thoughtful. I was impressed with the service.

I have used the company for two seasons. The company comes in the Fall and Spring to complete the maintenance agreement on my hot water heater and central air unit. They send me a post card when my service is due. Then, I call them to set up an appointment. They are very flexible in working around my schedule. They offer good communication by giving me an explanation of what the service involved and if any repairs are needed. With the agreement, I receive 15 percent off on parts and 10 percent off on labor if any repairs are required.

The work this company did for me was last winter. I lost all heat and I was in an emergency. They brought me space heaters and were working on the new install in one hour. They really went out of the way to keep me warm and to help me in my time of need. I was really impressed with them. It's not common that you find a company that goes that extra mile for you. I think they did a great job and they went above and beyond their call of duty.

I am very happy with them. The price for the contract was reasonable. They are always friendly and right on time. They are so knowledgeable that they are able to answer all of our questions. I would recommend them to other people. We have had no problems.

Company was nice to deal with on the phone. Had to set this type of appointment more than 6 weeks in advance. Which seems like a bit too long to me. Though they do offer same-day emergency service if necessary, even on Thanksgiving! Appointment was for 7:30 am, and technicians arrived at 7:50 am. Wish they had called to confirm appointment a day or two in advance. Or had called to let us know they'd be a bit late. Service took about 1/2 hour, and technicians were polite and professional. We were not given an estimate for the service needed. Nor did we ask for one. Overall, we are pleased with the service they provided. Will most likely call them again in the future.

Great service contract. $95 per year includes cleaning, discount on any parts needed for repairs, 24 hour service at regular time rates. They were very professional and fixed major botch ups from our previous service person.

I WAS SO PLEASED WITH THEM THAT I HAVE REFERRED THEM TO TWO OTHER PEOPLE SO FAR. THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO COME. THEY PERFORMED THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER AND I HAVEN'T HAD TO CALL THEM BACK AGAIN. THEY RETURNED MY CALLS PROMPTLY. HE WAS VERY GOOD. HE EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE WAS VERY PLEASANT, COURTEOUS AND PERSONABLE.

WE'RE SATISFIED WITH THEM. A LOT OF TIMES PEOPLE WILL SAY THEY'LL BE THERE AT A CERTAIN TIME AND THEY'RE NOT VERY TIMELY. ALTHOUGH WHEN WE HAD A PROBLEM THEY CAME AFTER HOURS RIGHT AWAY. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS VERY GOOD. THEY DID A GOOD JOB. I'M NOT DISSATISFIED.

THEY HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD. WE HAVE USED THEM INTERMITTENTLY FOR A LONG TIME. WE USE THEM WHENEVER WE HAVE A HEATING OR COOLING PROBLEM. WE HAVE STUCK WITH THEM FOR THEIR PRICES, THEIR RESPONSIVENESS AND THEIR PROFESSIONALISM.
