The furnace installation went well, but the rebuilt air filter box was disastrous. I had considerable difficulties in inserting the clean air filters. I had to remove the filters with a pliers which mangled the filters as they were withdrawn. It felt to me like some screwsw must be sticking into the filter track. I called them and they came out and looked at it and could not find any sc rews that might interfere. However, the problem continued for another year. Then another Danz service man came for another problem and I asked him about this. He discovered the problem immediately. The end of the filter track an d the beginning were not lined up. So when inserting a filter towards the end it would bend and warp. So I called up teh service manager to have them fix it. The Danz Service manager refused saying he had already sent people out (even though none of them had diagnosed the problem).

I've used Family Danz for more than 15 years. They used to have good repair guys who knew what they were doing. Over the last few years, the quality of the work has really gone down hill. This last episode caused me to lose all confidence in them.

Their price for the hot water heater was competitive compared to others. They came out the same day for our heating unit and made the appropriate repairs. They were very responsive and did good work.

See above... I was very happy with Sean's professionalism and knowledge. I did get an estimate from this company to replace the furnace, and they were also very prompt and courteous. The ONLY reason I did not have them do the job was that their price was $500 more than the other company for a comparable unit, and that's a lot of money these days (for me, at any rate.) I was very happy with their service and all the people I dealt with.

This company did an excellent job in my opinion and was extremely professional and delivered on time as promised. Mike Waterhouse was the first person we met who came and did the estimate. Mike was responsive and professional and spent a lot of time gathering the information needed for our estimate. In addition, Mike spent time answering follow up questions while I was making my decision. The team who actually installed did an excellent job and was mindful of our home and ensured the items were removed carefully. The job was started and completed as planned. The only issue, (if you can call it that), was that the team that did the work gave me incorrect information regarding the rebate information. They had said that I should wait for National Grid to send me the paperwork once it was sent in by their office when in fact there was a due date to register online and the due date was Dec 12th, the next day. I went online and found that information and registered. This in no way affects the grade I would give Family Danz as I accept that this is my responsibility to research and ensure I have the correct information to get the rebate.

the first person that came to our hhouse siad it was the filter that I was using. So I changed the filter. That was not the problem. The second person that came over said it was the belt. We do not have a belt driven motor. Finally the last person said it was the motor and he chanded it at a cost of 600.00 dollars

I emailed the company on a Saturday to quote an installation of a Honeywell Prestige Thermostat and Truesteam Humidifier systems. I was contacted on Monday by their office.. The girl who contacted me was very polite. I informed her of the services I was looking for. She said I would be contacted by a sales person. It has been two weeks and I never heard from them. I was surprised because they install the furnace system.

I recently bought a home with a steam boiler heating system and had no idea how to perform the weekly maintenance that should be done during the heating season. I called Family Danz to set up an appt to check out the system and to teach me how to drain the boiler and check the LWCO and automatic water feeder. Kim set up the appt and Jim, the service tech, showed up and was fantastic! He took the time to explain the ins and outs of a steam boiler, and told me what I should be doing to the system on a weekly basis. He actually showed me how to drain the boiler. He replaced the thermocoupler, cleaned everything up, made sure everything was in top condition. I know it was his last appointment of the day, but he took the time to make sure I was comfortable with performing the maintenance myself before he left. This business is top notch in my opinion. I will be calling Family Danz for yearly maintenance on my heating system and I will continue to recommend them to everyone. From our initial meeting with Mr. Danz, submission of an estimate, performance of work, and final inspection (again by Mr. Danz) I cannot say enough good things about this business. All service was done professionally, workers arrived when they said they would, answered all questions, and left the work area in pristine condition. I would highly recomend them.

I use them for heating and AC and have done so for many years. The installers were nice and worked quickly. I didn't get a quote from anyone else because quality work matters to me especially when you are talking about the use of natural gas. I would use them again.

I heard good things about them. We found them in a home show. I talked to the owner and he said that they were taking new customers. I signed up for a contract with him. They gave me a free cleaning for my furnace just for signing up. They do heat pumps, boilers and furnaces. I told them that I would sign a contract but he said that he would first get the job done and then we could sign the contract. That was reasonable. I am pretty happy with them. After the previous company that I used got out of here, I had Family Danz people come out and check what e did. He said that everything was fine. The contract was signed only for half of this year. They were here on time and they were very professional.

It went great! Cindy is a pleasure to speak to on the phone and has a great deal of knowledge about the plans and makes suggestions according to our specific heating needs.

Twice a year they perform a service check and they have kept it running.

We have a service contract with the company that includes semi-annual service, parts, repairs, etc. The service contract covered the repair work and parts and the semi-annual service visit (routine check-up and service procedures). Thus we paid nothing for this visit per se. The employees are always courteous, cooperative, and efficient. We have been doing business with them now for many years.

Over all a great job. When National Grid called with some questions about the rebate and that more information was needed. I called the office and Kerry did a great job of forwarding me the info. All of the people I have talked to at Family Danz are courteous.

Timely and professional. I chose them because of their excellent maintenance contract which is included in the maintenance price.

We have used them for a long time. They are very good. They have done some major work for us in the past. We keep going back to them because of the quality of their work and the quality of the products. They have been very responsive. They get the job done and guarantee it. We were happy with them. We have got a quote from them to replace the air conditioner as well.

The experience was excellent. The person who came to talk to us was very clear and straight forward. The installation went exactly as they said it would. The workman were punctual, neat and efficient. The furnace and the ac have been performing flawlessly.

They came on time to do a yearly check-up and cleaning of my Central air. It was a working older unit at the time. They gave it an OK report and said that it was serviced until next year. The very first time I went to use my Air, It didn't turn on. I then called them back to see why and they sent a repair man right over. He walked into my back yard and told me it was broken and tried to sell me a new one. He then proceeded to give me a bill for $94 more dollars. I have since purchased a new Central Air condenser from Sears and it is working beautifully. My contract with Family Danz hasn't started for the next year and it was pre-paid. I'll bet my chances aren't good for retrieving my money back!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Went to turn our AC a couple of weeks ago to see if it would cool down the house a bit and the blower fan came on but the outdoor unit did not. Some small animal tried eating the loose wires outside the unit to a circuit breaker at the side of our house. The only reason I graded a B for responsiveness was I tried to schedule an appointmnet thru their online website and thought I had one to discover I didn't and had to call in. Once scheduled over the telephone it was fine. The office called 1/2 before the service tech showed up. He made the repair and explained he concealed the wiring the best he could to prevent the same thing happening again. I did hear about becoming a service contract member and said I would think about and I will.

Filter door broken when new furnace installed. Service rep (pleasant) said they would call to install a new one when they received it. I was sick when they did the installation and later examined where they ran the new exhaust pipe (through side of house by patio) I didn't care for where they located the exhaust pipes nor their appearance. Called to ask to have them install something more attractive and offered to pay the difference. Then the calls and no response to calls began. Each time we called regarding the filter door and changing external exhaust pipe we were told the service manager would call back. No call. This went on for months. Summer arrived and still no call back. Turned on central air and found it didn't work. Called a different heating and cooling company and they came and rewired the furnace to connect central air. They said Danz had forgotten to wire the furnace for the AC - charge - about $400. Called Danz and demanded to speak to Ted Danz himself. An appointment was made for him to come to our house. Instead, the service manager and an assistant came and paid us the $400 and apologized profusely. They agreed we had been badly treated. Said one of their service reps would come within a week to fix the filter door and redo the exhaust piping. They did both at no charge and we are satisfied with the result. It took them about an hour or so to put a cover over the pipes to hide them. Spoke with Ted Danz eventually (he called) and I said that all of this could have been avoided if only the service manager had returned the original calls. Lastly, this is the second time Danz worked on our furnace and afterward the AC did not work. Both times required calling a different company to come and wire the AC. They were certainly apologetic at the end but no amount of apologies can make up for this kind of terrible service.
