Exceptionally well. Frank, Sly and Matthew were careful, considerate and efficient. Pieces of furniture were moved from house to house as was needed. 3 men for 8 hours of hard work. Couldn't have gone better!

The guys was nice enough but I felt that it was a pain for them to move out, they let me know that it was hard for them to move me and made me feel that the moving is difficult on my end.

I called two movers on a Saturday after the rugs were removed on Friday afternoon, and I needed them to come the following Saturday after the rugs were returned. Both mover advertised they were open on Saturday. For the first one, I got voice mail that said they would call back "shortly." I called Don's and Don answered and scheduled the job. The other mover never called back at all. (Strange how people pay money to advertise then fail to answer the telephone,) If you have a moving problem at all like mine, I would definitely call Don's, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Excellent. 5 movers: Frank, Snoop, Jay, Christian and Bruce arrived on time, worked hard and finished in less time than estimated, saving us a lot of money. They were polite, professional, exceptionally hard working and accommodating. We wanted a lot of heavy items stored in our basement which had a tight turn to access. They managed to get everything where we wanted it without a scratch. I can not speak highly enough about their services. Truly exceptional.

The truck came three hours late, and I had to call them to find out why they were late - one of the trucks had a mechanical problem and that caused the delay. They used a different (rented) truck which they weren't used to and when they backed it up at my new house they left giant gouges in the lawn where the tires ripped apart the grass. The men were polite and fairly accommodating, though I felt pressured the entire time to remove things from the moving list (like my riding lawnmower) to make things go faster since they had started so late. They did put together one dresser with a mirror when they got to the new house, but took apart lamps to move them and left them in pieces in a giant box, and left beds downstairs for me to put together, though they never told me they were going to do that. It may have been a misunderstanding on my part, but I thought everything would be put back together. A friend moved the lawnmower for me later along with a bunch of other stuff that didn't make it into the truck. To be fair, moving is not fun under the best of circumstances and that was a very stressful day so that may also color my view of Don's.

The movers (Christian, Snoop and Matt) arrived on time and ready to work. They were professional, courteous and respectful. Moving most furniture/belongings into the basement wasn't easy due to stairway configuration, but they were amazing and managed to get everything downstairs that needed to go down. They also replied "no problem" when we asked them to move a few pieces of furniture that were unrelated to the original move. Overall they were excellent and we'd recommend them to anyone.

Very well! The entire experience was good-from loading to unloading. The men were professional and friendly and worked incredibly well together.

Dons Moving was great. The sales agent came and provided estimates, which was pretty standard. We were very happy with the crew that performed the moves. They were prompt, professional, and very helpful. The second crew that we had (for the second phase) was outstanding. They were so helpful and nice, especially to our young son who wanted to help the guys.

Okay but took too long. Charged by the hour. Only had two movers for the service.

I literally could not be happier with my recent experience with Don's moving. This was literally the best money I have ever spent in my entire life. Charles was was great with getting me quotes and helping me schedule the move. Very quick and responsive to emails and phone calls. The day of the move the 5 guys that came were polite, extremely friendly, and worked their tails off. We had a lot of heavy furniture and shop equipment and these guys moved the stuff around and did zero damage to the house and walls. I can't say enough good things about this experience. The movers were working so hard we went and got them a case of cold water, some pizza for lunch, and a bag of snacks. Thank you so much Don's moving!!

hired Don's 2 years ago to move from a 2 story colonial lived in for 35 yrs to a single story home... move went great - crew worked hard and got the job done with next to no issues. Couple scratches here and there but nothing enough to talk about. Because of the previous move we hired them again for this recent move. This move was not so good - broken upright freezer, we had all boxes labeled yet many ended up in other than the correct locations, boxes clearly marked fragile were at the bottom of stacks of boxes - some labeled heavy. I could go on and on... I called the office to report the broken freezer and initially was told I didn't take out the extra insurance BUT the person in charge of the paperwork etc said most people done spend the extra on the insurance because they are so good - a few of the crew were very good but the others were careless

Bruce, Jay, Shaun and Sylvester were the best move crew I could ever have! The experience was top notch! The guys were extremely professional, courteous and ensured all my belongings were transported safely including irreplaceable items. At the final destination, all my belongings were safe and secure and properly stowed under my direction. Thank you! Pre move service was excellent and responsive. Loading day was great, but tiring, a great group of guys. Unloading process could have been more careful and considerate.

I am very pleased with the services offered by Don's moving. Operations Manager Mark Drobish was punctual and professional when he arrived to offer a quote. The move was scheduled within 2 weeks. Three men were assigned to the job... David, Snoop and Cheese (yes, that's right! :-) ) They arrived right on time, were friendly and professional, and supplied the muscle to get the house emptied and safely loaded on the truck. Unloading at the new home was just as efficient. In the end, the quote was within 10% of the final cost (it took 1/2 hour longer than estimated, and those men were hustling) The move went smoothly and efficiently, and everyone went home happy.

They were on time, the three guys who showed up worked really hard and didn't take any breaks. They moved all the furniture and a few of the boxes we hadn't included in the original estimate. They were careful with our belongings, we paid what we expected to pay, and it took exactly the 4 hours estimated. They fit everything nicely into the storage unit. They did a great job! It was a great experience.

We were moving my mother in law in a retirement community. The move went really well. Three movers came. They were professional and helpful. My husband was there to help and he only had positive things to say about Don's moving. My mother-in-law was extremely pleased.

I can't say enough good things about this locally owned moving company. They were on time and worked hard but most importantly they cared about doing a good job. Our move was complicated requiring multiple moving days. They moved armoires that weighed hundreds of pounds, fragile items that required special handling, and everything in between. They always had a smile on their face even at the end of a long day. We have used many of nationally known movers in the past but decided to try a local company for our local move. So gad we did!

Communication with the owner prior to the move was clear and I found him to be easy to work with and responsive. However, the movers on moving day were a different story. The movers had their own agenda and, unfortunately, I was not on site to call them out and get the owner involved immediately. The movers arrived promptly, but were in a huge rush to remove items from the house. They said that boxed items (as opposed to pieces of furniture and furnishings) were charged extra by the pound. Our long time family helper knew that the boxes contained heavy books, and so opted for the movers not to take the boxes rather than to pay by weight, and to personally take care of them later. Ultimately, they were in such a rush, and clearly not interested in moving according to the agreement, that one piece of furniture wasn't moved at all, and our helper didn't realize it as they rushed her to lead them to the storage facility. After the truck was unloaded at the storage facility, the additional transfer of items to consolidate two units to one unit did not happen either. The moving team told our helper that it would be a separate job and charge, and it couldn't be done that day. This also was the opposite of what Don's owner and I had agreed, especially considering that there was plenty of daylight left to get the job done. Our family helper had called me from the house, but a delay of 45 minutes in my receiving the message and returning the call was too much. By the time we spoke, the movers were done unloading the truck contents into storage and were ready to leave. I called the owner and, to make amends, he reduced the charge from the 4 hr minimum to 3 hrs for the approximate 2+ hours the movers worked. After the mover's rush to leave, our family helper relayed more details of their rogue behavior - considering their unwillingness to do what was contracted - and emailed and called the owner about the issues, but I never heard back from him. All in all it caused tremendous additional stress in the few days before the sale/closing, which nobody needs. It also cost us more for the good-hearted but, by then, stressed, strained and weary family helpers to accomplish what I'd contracted for the professionals from Don's Moving to do. I certainly wouldn't consider engaging Don's Movers unless you're present, with the owner on speed-dial. Then, if/when the movers come up with their own terms and prices, hope that the owner is willing and able to set them straight from the office over the phone.

We had a last-minute, tight-schedule move. Had to be out of the apartment and into the house on a short time frame, and Don's did an estimate immediately. Both crews were very, very professional! They came in when promised, worked efficiently and quickly, and made sure all of our possessions were treated gently. We have several flights of stairs in the new place, and even though quite a bit of our stuff ended up in the attic, they transported all of our belongings without fuss or complaint. Absolutely WONDERFUL experience!

Excellent move - Trey, Tim (Chipmunk) and Matt were great!!! Trey backed van down my 450 foot very narrow driveway!!! That alone was cause to cheer, but they had the moving gig down pat!! My many boxes disappeared quickly, furniture on second floor removed without complaints about difficult narrow stairway and no damage to any of the furniture. Packed my kitchen dishes, etc .and clothes closets. ALL the while I was told to sit on chair, relax and do my puzzle book, they would handle everything, and they did. Eventually they asked for the chair and told me they would follow me to new apartment. At new apartment, they unloaded the chair FIRST and, again, told me to sit and relax, which I did. Trey was the leader of the group and his experience working in the moving business showed.!! Chipmunk and Matt excellent ! They were all friendly, courteous and kidded with each other and me, making the day fun, but always very professional. Could not have been a better experience!!!

Fabulous moving company. Very prompt and conscientious of our belongings. I would highly recommend them.

Everyone was very professional the job was well done

Inquired about local move from Cohoes to Clifton Park on 8/3. Company responded 8/5 to call office, with statement that rates are hourly for local moves, but didn't provide rate. Also did not provide phone number. 8/6 asked for phone number. Company responded on 8/12 with same available moving dates as a company (but no dates to come out and give estimate of move's cost) who had already come to the home and given a written estimate and firm moving date. Did not use them because I didn't want to push out my time table waiting for more response and a firmer estimate.

The representative came to our home and was cordial. He used a paper checklist to take notes regarding the move. We did not get a chance to establish the quality of the company's services since it took a week for them to get back from us with the estimate.

The move went without a hitch. Due to closing on the old house a few days before closing on the new house, Dons was able to keep our belongings on the truck in their secure facility for a nominal fee. The office staff was very friendly, professional and went out of their way to work with us during our move. The actual moving staff went above and beyond to protect our belongings every step of the way. All 6 of the men that moved our belongings on both end were excellent. I would highly recommend Dons Moving and Storage to anybody.
