D & R Paving

Dan from D&R stopped by for ameasure but never followed through. A few days after Dan stopped by I got a call from the company stating Dan was sick with high blood pressure. Another week went by I called the company back and asked If they could send me an estimate. They never got back to me. I waited a month for nothing. I ended up using saul's paving and got a very nice driveway at a reasonable price.

D&R did a great job and left us with a beautiful driveway! They were courteous, professional, and the quality of work is top notch. Hire them now!

All went extremely well. I had some special issues that I needed addressed with slope and transitions. They handled all professionally and expertly. I have been able to watch the results for over a week and it seems perfect. I can't overemphasize the quality and professionalism of the work. I feel like I have a roadway for a driveway! In addition, the attention they paid to smallest things like hand-compacting the asphalt sides and cleaning up stone and asphalt was very gratifying.

I called D&R paving because they had an A-rating and received the Super Serivce reward and were recommended by Angie's List. I scheduled an appointment to get an estimate. The appointment time was between 9a-10a. They never showed or called. I called them at 10:20 to check the status. When I asked if he was coming, Sharon said she didn't know because she hasn't heard from him yet. Not the answer I wanted. She even seemed annoyed. I am the one waiting for them. Do they not think my time is as valuable as theirs. I called back at 1:30 p.m. because she never called me back with a status. She said she still didn't hear from him and apologized for not calling me back with a status. Four and a half hours of my time wasted. She suggested I call a smaller paving company to do the work because they wouldn't even get to it for another month. I was reading other reviews about this company and how others got the same treatment. Their response to one of them was "I apologize for your inconvenience, we recently had to let one of our estimators go, and I have been trying to cover the work of 3 people. I know this is no excuse for not keeping you informed, and again, I apologize." What is their excuse now? That was in April. Can't wait to read it. This makes me question A-ratings on Angie's list. They are so unprofessional and inconsiderate.

D & R Paving scheduled an appointment with me to estimate a paving job. I left work early to meet them. I waited 1.5 hours and they never showed up. A simple phone call if they needed to postpone or cancel would have taken two minutes. Obviously their customer's time is not a consideration. Simple common courtesy should not be too much to expect from a business. I followed-up with a phone call and left a voicemail. I Also sent an email message via Angies List. But D & R Paving never responded. Again, no courtesy to a potential customer. Totally unprofessional. I have this job and probably a second job and I'm in the process of getting other estimates. D & R ( Don't Respond?) Paving will never be considered.

Contacted the company to set up a time to have a rep come out and give me an estimate to install a brand new driveway. Scheduled an appointment for April 9. Received a phone call halfway through the day that there was an emergency and the rep would not be able to make the appointment that was schedule. So I rescheduled for April 16 between 1-2PM. No one showed up for the appointment and I never received a phone call letting me know no one would show up. At 2:15PM, I contacted the office, no one answered the phone and I left a message. By the end of the business day still no return phone call. So I will not be giving this company my business.

They are very good, friendly, and competent. Everything still looks good. They were very prompt. They did the work in one day. I would recommend them to a friend.

A section of the top of our driveway had been sucked into a sinkhole. We thought the entire driveway would have to be removed and redone. But we were told that would not be necessary and it would not look like it was patched. D&R dug it out filled it in and resurfaced our entire driveway. They arrived at the appointed time with a full crew and equipment. The work was done in a matter of three hours. They did an excellent job, the driveway looks brand new.

I have waited a year to better review the results of the work performed. We were in need of a new driveway and took this opportunity to grade and better drain the area. Dan was able to plan and execute the job with total professionalism. I admit I tend to be a somewhat anxious consumer, but the entire team at D & R kept me informed during the process. A year later the driveway is flawless and water runs in the direction intended. Nicely done.

I was very happy with them. They sent a team of about twelve guys and they were extremely professional. We're going to do some more work later and we will definitely use them. They were outstanding. They had all kinds of heavy equipment. They did a wonderful job. They were about $2000 less than the high bid that we got. The amount of equipment and number of people they bring to the job is what stands out. They're not a fly-by-night operation. They're do the job. They were well received by other Angie's List reviewers. I looked at the top three reviewed on Angie's List and D & R was one of them. They did a fabulous job. It's holding up extremely well. I'm completely satisfied. I would definitely plan to use them again without hesitation.

Called and made an appointment for an estimate to replace my driveway. Tim was scheduled to be here on June 18 between 3:00 & 4:00. He never showed. I called the office the next day. They had no explanation for why he didn't come, but apologized and asked to reschedule. I agreed and rescheduled for June 24. That morning, the office called and indicated that the estimator wasn't coming to work that day. They asked to reschedule again. I agreed, and we rescheduled for Monday, June 30, between 12:00 and 1:00. Needless to say, he didn't show up again; and I didn't get any calls with an explanation That's it for me; I'm done with them. If you call them for an appointment, I hope you don't have to take time off from work to do it...you might need to take more time than you expected.

Did everything they said they would. Very good job.

. The work was done promptly, efficiently and with care. It was a most satisfactory result and at a great price. Tim, the estimator, patiently and courteously explained in great detail the nature of the work. I highly recommend D&R and would use them again.

Contacted Company by phone on March 24th. No one answered so I left a message with my contact information and that I was interested in a paving estimate. On April 4th I had not yet received a return call so I called back. I explained to the representative that I left a message and no one has gotten back to me. She explained that she only works part time and did not have any record of my call. I asked to set up an appointment for an estimate and expressed that I could only be available in the early evening or the weekend due to working hours. She stated that they only perform estimates between 8am-4pm weekdays. I said that would be difficult but I wanted to talk to the estimator anyway to try to work out a meeting time. As of April 10th no one has called back to speak wirth me. I my opinion and experience this company is unprofessional in dealing with propsective new customers. I am very dissapointed as the company has a high Angislist rating from customers who have had work performed. based on my experience I would rate the company as "F" noting that it is based solely on initial customer service. I would also be happy to have a conversation with the owner or manager regarding this rating if they are so inclined.

They did a great job and it looks very good nine months later.

D&R Paving provided professional, courteous and quality services in the excavation, removal and installation of our new driveway. Their work was organized, orderly and done with care and precision. The workers were very polite, maintained excellent communication and punctual. They did a beautiful job!!

They were excellent in listening to the needs of grading and repaving my driveway. They had the best price, and were quickly responsive to inquiries. The crew was very polite and worked very efficiently. They actually went out of their way to ensure my request to have the driveway done before winter officially set in was met (despite the early season cold snaps). As far as paving goes, my driveway was a small job, but Tim treated us with respect and a level of professionalism that I would expect to see with a large client. Thank you!

They did an awesome job. They were very neat with the work, they came when they said they would, and the final price was what they had quoted. I would recommend them. They were competitively priced and I really appreciated that they stuck with the estimate. The only drawback is we did have to play phone tag for a while and that occurred initially.

They responded to our call for an estimate immediately and scheduled the work shortly after we chose them to do the work. They worked efficiently and cleaned up very well. There was a delay after they excavated and put down the stone base and when they returned to put down the new asphalt of about two weeks. They told us the date they would return, called to postpone by one day, then did not return for three business days. When we called them, they said their equipment broke down. They then came on the day they said they would to finish the job.

It went very well! Definitely will use them again and would recommend them!!

Everything went smoothly. All the workers were polite and answered any questions I asked. All in all a good experience.

I had a lot of cracks in the driveway which had to be fixed. The price was fair to what he did. They were very personable and very helpful. They work with good quality. The repairs is holding up well.

Prompt written estimate that was more detailed than the other three I received. Estimated price to what was promised on the estimate was the best of the three estimates I received. Work was scheduled and completed promptly. The trouble with blacktop is it is very hard to know if you are getting exactly what was quoted. For instance when they say 6 inches of stone - how do you know you're getting 6 inches of stone and not 4.5? In the end you have to trust the folks doing the work and hope it works out. Finished driveway looks decent but I'm not too keen on a couple visible lines where the separate passes were made with the paver. I wish they weren't there and I hope they fade with time. All in all, no pressure, no hassles, good job - I'll let you know in 20 years what kind of quality I really got.

Scheduled for 5:00 for an estimate, didn't show up or call until 6:15. I would expect a phone call if they was going to be a delay. Didn't take a chance having him back due to this.
