Very well experience. The gentlemen first came and went through to the sales part of the process; everything was pretty smooth and easy. He was able to show us of the colors. When they installed and came, they were all very nice. They kept very neat outside. The sidings installers worked until 9 o'clock on the evening to finish it up.
Description of Work: They did sidings, roof installation, and the outer post that hold it up. We all have our windows done as well.

Took 4 installation attempts to get the correct size and grid pattern for all 5 windows. Ended up filing complaint with Better Business Bureau. Months after 4th and final installation date, Lynn from Champion Corporate offered me a 10% discount for my "inconvenience" but would have to sign agreement to NOT say or write anything bad about Champion. Lynn also advised she could give me a bigger discount but this would then void my "Lifetime Warranty". Not sure if this is even legal ? Declined to give up my right to free speech, paid full price and letting people know of my terrible experience with Champion.

The salesperson seemed honest and he was patient. The work commenced within the contracted time. But once begun, the job seemed to take forever. They were understaffed and on the days that they showed up to work, they appeared to work about four hours when you discount the late arrival, early departure, and cigarette and lunch breaks. Since you need to be on hand to correct minor mistakes in the job (many), mostly involving trim details, the long duration would be a big problem for a customer who is not retired or who doesn't work from home like me. The quality of the workmanship and material is hard for me to judge because this is the only house that I have had resided with vinyl. But I can sum it up thusly, Lowes quoted me $17k, a highly regarded siding company in Kingston quoted me $30k plus. Champion did the job for $16.5k and it looks nice. I got what I could afford and it is done.

The initial salesman was professional and competent. Communication with the installation team was not great and they did not always show up/call at agreed upon times causing inconvenience and confusion. Windows were installed OK but installers used outdoor caulking on the inside of the house causing serious painting issues. We spent several days trying to remedy the situation but nothing worked satisfactorily. Also, when bright sunlight was behind windows, several of them had large cloudy looking ring shapes which were on the glass between the panes and couldn't be washed off. Finally the installation manager visited to assess the situation and said that affected windows would have to be re-ordered and replaced and the caulking would have to be removed and re-done. Six months after ordering the initial work, it was finally completed correctly, but only after considerable inconvenience and frustration on our part with many headaches along the way.

I used Champion Windows to replace my two sliders windows in my basement. I chose Champion because of an Angie?s List ?Big Deal? where I got $250 worth of windows for $25. I have bought a Big Deal before and it went well. If this had been my first time, I would probably never do it again. Dealing with Champion was a hassle from the beginning. When I signed up through Angie?s List and paid $50 ($25 each for two windows) I got the confirmation email that Champion would contact me in a few days. They didn?t. I had to contact Angie?s List who gave me a number to call and I got something set up. The salesman who came over to do the initial measurement had never heard of the Big Deal I signed up for. First he was trying to argue that it was $25 off per window. No it wasn?t. Then he was trying to get me to buy more windows so I could get a better deal. By this time I was wary of Champion, so I stuck with what I had signed up for. After he left, I realized something. The only way he was able to understand the deal was $225 off per window. So that was all he took off my order. But I had paid $25 per window up front, so he should have taken off $250 per window. The balance they thought I owed was $50 too high. I immediately called and left a message for the district manager. Never heard back. A few weeks later, the tech who did the final measurements came over. He was fine. He explained the district manager had been out with an injury. So I gave him another chance and called and left another message. Again, never heard back. When the windows were in and they called to schedule the installation, I said this had to get resolved first. Then they did take the disputed $50 off. The actual installation went fine and the installer Brian did a good job. They seem like quality windows. Your review makes me select Yes or No would I use Champion again. I'm not sure. Overall I am satisfied with the windows but the company really needs to work on responsiveness.

The details are going to be difficult as I have not as yet hired them, but did choose a perfect color. He unfortunately had no samples with him to leave so I contacted the supplier of the vinyl company chosen and they said they would be happy to send some to me. It is always nice to have a sample to set up against the house and if need be for some painting purpose take with you to Benjamin Moore to match. They have a financing plan which is great when you are older and cannot come up with as much cash as is needed to do the project. As was the case with myself. Would have them back any time for more information and he left his card so I could email with other concerns if need be. Wonderful experience. Great people, do not rush you, pressure you or worse get upset because you need time to contemplate such a costly venture.
Description of Work: Discussed all options concerning the siding of my home. He had many, much more than anticipated, products for me to view. I was impressed. Measured the house, carefully looked over all aspects of damage, especially to garage, termite and ants. Very through! Extremely nice gentleman, patient and thoughtful. Answered all my questions, even the dumb ones. Did not laugh at me, siding is all new to me. The ins and outs of removing current 2 layers. Covered everything.

He brought along a briefcase full of paperwork showing awards for quality products, a display window, a case with glass samples to demonstrate the reflective quality of their product. He was very pushy, we only wanted a price quote on windows for our porch. His presentation took almost two hours and when he eventually gave us a price he neglected to include some of the items we told him we wanted to have done. When we wouldn't sign a contract right away he kept pushing and even lowered his quote to try to get us to sign a contract before he would leave. I didn't think we were ever going to get him out of our house. I'm sure their products are very good but the pushy salesman convinced us not to hire them.

Our contract with Champion was fulfilled in all its details. The salesman made an error in measuring in our favor. The company absorbed the difference and did not charge us a penny more than the agreed upon monies. The roof was installed the week after we finalized the deal with the salesman. This was provident as contractors from our area were not available until October or November, which is not ideal as shingles need warmth to lay flat after installation -- so Champion's timing was providential. We were attracted to the company by a newspaper ad announcing they install Owens Corning roofing which reviewed well. Their price was $3,000 more than the estimates we got from contractors in our town, despite the error in our favor. but I believe that the materials were better quality. There had never been a complaint about them to the Better Business Bureau when we looked them up in September. Our neighbor was a building manager in New York City before he retired, so I figure he knows his stuff. He made a point of coming over to say what a good job the installers had done. The installation took almost two days instead of the anticipated one day because additional roofing had to be delivered because of the measurement mistake. (Also, for some reason, the work began 1 hour later than expected.) The two days to completion was faster than I would have anticipated with other contractors. Our 20 year old roof had to be redone because the old roof was installed without adequate ventilation which shortened what should have been a 25 to 30 year life.. Champion employed a different venting system, and we believe they resolved the issue. Of course, only time will tell us for sure. The clean up was well done. The installers used a magnet around the yard to ensure stray nails were picked up. They also left us three "squares" of roofing material in the event future repairs are needed. Is it appropriate to mention that the one surprise was that the laborers were from Ecuador? They had green cards, etc per their very pleasant, informative supervisor, who was also from Ecuador, but who had been in this country 17 years. When the job was finished, the same supervisor walked around the house with me to see if there were any issues. I believe that his foreman was also supposed to check in with us, but we missed him when he came to pick up the left over materials (plywood, etc) as we were away from home.

It was the worst experience in my life. It started with a lie from salesman telling me that champion employees with at least 20 years experience would be my installers and when they showed up it was independent contractor with beat up truck that champion hired with 3 young boys in their early 20's who knew nothing about installing windows and keep asking paulie what to do next. The state police even stopped to be sure i wasn't getting robbed, that is how unprofessional they looked. They broke my living room window out with hammer and it broke all over my living room floor. Use very old silicon and now it is turning yellow all around my windows. The worst workmanship on inside and outside i have ever seen. After 10 trips back to my house for redos and about twenty phone calls I then wrote the attorney general who forwarded my issues to champion and the out come was they would come out again and fix whatever I wanted. I have never called them back because enough is enough but I would never want any one to experience this!

He was very thorough, he was punctual. He was good, he explains the whole feature, showed me the window, answers all my questions, the only thing I didn't like, he told me what was wrong with every other window compared to Champion Window which I don't think that's necessary, kinda bad mouth competition, it took a lot of time to go through that, that wasn't necessary, I can figure that out on my own, I think its part of their training though, I don't need to go through all that with him, I wanted to know what he has.

From the first sale, which was a front door - through a couple of fancy slider doors, through all the windows: Everything went well. Sales person was very professional, not a hard sell, had answers to all our questions. There was about a 2 month lead time to get windows ordered and schedule installation, they met all their promise dates, 2 guys installed all the windows in one day and cleaned up. We got all triple pane with most of the offered upgrades, and I'm glad we did. They weren't cheap but you get what you pay for, the install looks great, heating bills went down, and I didn't have to do anything which was the best part. I would use them again.

We could not be more pleased by our experience with Champion windows from start to finish. On February 24, 2014 their salesperson John Simons came to our house to show us their product. He was personable and knowledgeable without being intimidating. We agreed to a price that was competitive with the other estimates we had received. We placed our order and the following day Todd came to our house for the final measurements. We then received a call about 2 weeks later that our windows had been shipped and and an install date for March 19, 2014 was set up. On this date their installer Brian showed up to install the windows. He had over 20 years experience and this was immediately apparent. I would highly recommend Champion Windows. Overall it was a very good experience.

Overall pleased. siding and windows are an expensive endeavor which always makes me nervous. We were happy with Jon and he was willing to work with us on the price based on an other company's written estimate. Only thing that was a little frustrating was that they did not show up the first day because they had a job to finish. I would have liked a phone call. After I let them know my expectations it was better.

From start to finish, Champion Windows did a great job!. Jon, the salesman was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. I challenged him to tell me why Champion Windows are better than the rest and he was prepared with several answers. In fact, it seemed like he relished being asked the question. His presentation materials were professional and thorough. Just make sure you have plenty of time set aside though. The whole presentation will take more than an hour. If you decide to go with Champion, the next step is the person that measures your windows for the replacements (really they are inserts) comes to your house. This was the only step that was less than impressive in the whole process. The fellow that came to the house did not seem as knowledgeable as Jon, the salesperson. The measurement process took about an hour. One of the things that we liked about Champion is that they manufacture their windows in their own factory. This keeps the entire process all within one company. They told us that it would take 4-6 weeks to manufacture our windows. The company called to tell us our windows were ready for installation at the 5 week mark. So far so good. The installer came out to the house exactly on time. I was skeptical that one person could install 9 windows in one day, but that is what he did. First he did the internal work inside the house. He put down tarps under each window to contain the mess as he moved from room to room. He installed all 9 windows inside and out by the end of the day. He really did an outstanding job. We are very pleased with the result. We have had our new windows for about 3 months now. I can't imagine going into a winter with the old leaky windows still in the house. The new windows insulate very well. No cold air comes in at all. We still have some other replacement windows installed in our front room. We can tell they are not Champion Windows because of the cold that they let in. Clearly they are a lessor quality product. It is very easy to tell the difference. Overall, purchasing replacement windows from Champion was a good experience. We were turned off by the other company that advertises windows for $189.00. Bait and switch is as old as the hills. Champion had good reviews in here and not just one or two. All of their reviews were good and now we know why. They may be a bit more expensive, but they did exactly what they said they were going to do. Their people are professional and their product first rate. What more can you ask?

We called to schedule for someone to come by the house and give an estimate for replacement of windows. The girl that answered phone was very friendly. The company rep (Roy Hassan) showed up on time and fully prepared to give us a presentation on what makes their windows so great. My husband and I were very impressed, learning about how the process of how the windows are made and the technology used to craft the windows that allow the house to retain heat during the winter and stay cooler during the summer. He also described in full detail about the process of how the old windows would be removed and how the new windows would be installed and what materials they used to ensure windows fit perfectly upon installation. Often times the details of how the job gets done is never given so we appreciated the time he took to explain everything to us, including a lifetime warranty. Roy measured all the windows and made suggestions as to what would type of window style would save us money. After he ran the numbers, I can't deny it was A LOT more than what we thought it would cost and was only able to afford getting windows replaced for half of the house (a total of 5 windows including a very large picture window in the living room). We would not pay for something if we didn't think it was well worth it, not to mention Champion came very highly recommended by a friend who had all her windows replaced by them and raved not only about the product but about the exceptional customer service - and I agree. When I called to schedule the installation appt. for a Saturday, I was told by Todd that they don't offer installations on a Saturday. I was very surprised by this. On Angie's list it does reflect Saturday hours and assumed this applied to installation hours - which it does not. I explained to Todd that my husband and I recently had to take a lot of time from work due to a death and we did not anticipate using any more time. He said he would see try to find someone that could do the job. After going back and forth a few times, he was able to find 2 people to do the installation. The guys came promptly on Saturday morning and worked very diligently. They started by taping all the windows inside with some plastic to prevent any debris from spilling on the floor. We really appreciated this especially since we just got the hardwood floors re-done. We were very impressed by how they managed to take out the old windows without making such a mess in the flower beds. They were very focused and attentive to all the details. When they were done, they swept up and cleaned up everything as if they were never there. That kind of attention to detail is not lost on us!! The only thing we were very surprised by, is that Roy nor anyone from Champion ever called us to follow-up about the job or to see if we had any questions - it is now 2 months later. When you put that much focus and time into getting the sale, you should at least follow-up with your customer with the same enthusiasm shown in the beginning and at the very least ask how everything went. That small extra step is all that is needed to complete the customer experience and ensure customer loyalty -- especially when you know they have other windows that still need to be replaced. Never make the assumption that the customer will return. Another suggestion is to make it easier to schedule installation on Saturdays. The last thing working professionals want to do is take time off from work to stay home and watch windows being installed. Overall very happy with the quality of the product and the work and would highly recommend Champion windows.
